+ -1 moreOverall it went well. The men who came out were polite, well mannered, and respectful of our property. For the most part, they were thorough. They also wore a nice blue polo-type shirt which identified the company they work for. When they came out, they were actually a bit early - which was fine. As they worked they were very quiet and respectful of us and our property. Even though I only had them wash the outsides of the bedroom windows, they look just great. Other than the faux paux in the kitchen, it went pretty well. As for the question of whether I'd use them again, I might, but I'd like to try some other window cleaners, and compare, There should be a category for "maybe", and a place to explain why you put yes, no, or maybe.
Description of Work: We hired Technicare because they do carpet cleaning as well as windows. When I first called, I was told that one of the carpet cleaners woud be able to give us an estimate on the windows. So I scheduled an appt to have our windows cleaned at the same time I scheduled the carpet cleaning. When the carpet cleaners came out, I explained that I was told they could provide an estimate for the window washing. They said they didn't do estimates on window washing - it was no big deal. I figured they'd be in the ballpark of what other companies were charging. Technicare has good reviews on Angies List, so I thought I'd give them a try. When the two window washers first arrived they explained how they wash the windows. Then I took them around to look at what they'd be washing. Other than 2 large windows in our foyer, which are too high for me to wash, we only wanted the windows washed inside and out on the lower level, and only outside in the bedrooms. They removed the screens, washed them separately, and then washed the windows quickly and quietly. The only disappointment was that one of them moved a few items I forgot to move, and then washed the lower part of the kitchen window, but left the upper part of the windows completely unwashed, and it was very apparent.

+ -1 moreThey do an excellent job, but it was a tad on the expensive side. They will clean the window sash (they may call it the sill), but they do not clean the marble sill. This is not a big deal, just make sure you understand what they are doing.

It took them about two hours, and they gave us tips for future cost-saving measures. We also had them clean our carpets last year, and we will call on them again for car detailing and a variety of other services, as they can do almost anything.

gutter cleaning
+ -1 moreWe had been experiencing some overflow on one gutter. I explained that we had never had the gutters cleaned and were concerned that the water was falling near the foundation of the house. He said that he could be back to clean our gutters in about 2 weeks. We were needing someone to clean them sooner than that and he said that we could be put on a call list if there was an opening we would be next in line. They called us the next day and were cleaning our gutters that afternoon. Jeff found the problem to the water overflow and it was not due to the gutters being dirty but that the water needed to be redirected. They cleaned all of our gutters and were very neat (putting the debris from the gutters into a bucket and not all over the yard).
Description of Work: Jeff came to our home on Monday to give an estimate on cleaning the gutters. On Tuesday Jeff called and said there was an opening and he could come and clean our gutters.

Stains included grease and urine. I am amazed at how great the carpet looks now! The young gentlemen who did the work were very polite and professional and represented Technicare very well. Relatively speaking, these were very small jobs (cleaning one gutter at the back of my house and cleaning some windows), but each time I've been pleased with their customer service. They are professional (helpful when scheduling, prompt, and courteous), and I appreciate that I don't have to be there to supervise their work. I may hire them to power wash my deck as well.

A date was set, they arrived early, knocked at the door to let me know they were here and went to work. They were finished in no time....it was raining. They told me if I was not satisfied they would come back....Sun is out today and the windows are wonderful....believe or not..no streaks. Great job guys.

+ -1 moreIt went well. Tech was on time and did a nice job. Very professional. A day or two later, I notice a very samll area of the carpet that was not as clean as I would have liked. I was going to call back but kept putting it off. Then out of the blue, a lady from the company called to check on the results and if I was happy. I told her about the spot and wthout any hesitation, she said they would come back at my convenience and re-clean the spot for me. I was impressed. They are scheduled to come back tomorrow.

+ -1 moreThis is maybe the 5th time we've used them. I don't mind cleaning windows, but there is NO way I could duplicate whatever they do. When they're done, it looks like there is no glass in the windows! No streaks, smudges, drips, nothing. They're careful not to let the kitties out, friendly folks, respectful, and just plain nice to have around. This is one of my favorite expenditures annually; sometimes twice a year.
Description of Work: Technicare washed the inside and outside of all our windows, including two skylights in the family room which involve crawling up on the roof. They moved all the furniture that was in the way, put it all back, and were courteous the entire time.

+ -1 moreWe received a discount coupon in the mail and were easily able to talk with a rep by phone. He explained the coupon and other carpet cleaning services. We bought the more thorough cleaning of the whole carpet after talking with the rep. The rep scheduled the service call and explained that the cleaning would take about 90 minutes. This enabled me to better plan my day. On the day of the cleaning, I called Technicare to confirm my appointment and again was quickly connected to a "live person" rather than dealing with a phone system. Thank you! Dave and Josh called 20 minutes before they arrived. They walked through the house and compared it to the phone quote. They asked us a few questions about moving furniture. Then, together, they worked as a team handling the hoses, moving a few large pieces of furniture, and pre-treating the heavily soiled areas. They completed the job in about 90 minutes. What a difference! Our carpet is a creamy vanilla again. We'll call them again soon to do the second floor.
Description of Work: Cleaned the whole first floor and stairs to the second floor. Areas included 1) dining room, 2) great room, 3) small half bath, 4) master bedroom, 5) traffic path in small walk-in closet, 6) small hall at base of stairs, and 7) stairs(steps, risers, and landing). Whole area is roughly 1,000 square feet. Spots and heavy traffic areas were pretreated including a rust spot from an iron table. Carpet was steam cleaned.

+ -1 moreBased on their Angie's List reputation, we hired Technicare to clean the carpets. Unlike another local company we've used, the technician didn't scout the carpet for stains prior to cleaning, and I had to point out all the stains they then missed. Even after that, the stains remained and got worse over the next few days. While I realize that our carpet is old and heavily trafficked, not to mention very stained, I just wasn't impressed with the job they did. For other services, I will continue to use Technicare, but for carpet cleaning I think I'll stick with the other local company.
