From the first call to set up the estimate to the final box being unloaded and the truck pulling away, this was a fantastic experience. It only took a day for Derrek to come to the home - he used his experience to look around and give us a very quick estimate. We had received estimates from four other moving companies, some higher, some lower, but Derrek was no nonsense and gave us a 'not to exceed' estimate. He also included climate controlled inside storage for up to 5 weeks, knowing that we weren't sure how long we needed it. He offered boxes, wardrobes and any help we needed. We felt comfortable with him and decided to give D&D our business. On moving day, we were well prepared. They sent five men and two trucks, which soon turned to six men and three trucks. Every one of them was professional, courteous, and took very good care of our home and all of our belongings. They were nice to point out how well our boxes were packed and marked and how prepared we were. They didn't hesitate to help us with anything that was left to be done. They moved very quickly through the basement, which to us was a sea of boxes. They meticulously wrapped every piece of furniture, marked everything we had for inventory and worked their way through the house - telling us when they stopped for breaks. They were careful and fast and fun to have around. Once they were done, they went over the inventory, thanked us for working with them and headed out to unload at the storage facility. When I called to schedule delivery to the new house, they were nice as could be. They made sure we were scheduled quickly and on a day convenient to us. On delivery day, the same crew came out and it was another wonderful experience. They had no trouble moving big items down the winding basement stairs or to the upstairs bedrooms. They covered the floors and paid special attention to the laundry room when bringing in the washer and dryer, as it was just freshly painted. The whole crew worked quickly, questioning us when needed to make sure everything was in it's right place. Again, they were so polite and really took good care of our belongings. Overall, it was the best moving experience I could imagine. I would recommend D&D to anyone and would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

D & D moving took care in a no hassle or headache fashion of my home relocation from Avon, OH to Charleston, SC. It was not easy for me in making the decision to use them for my long-distance move, I had good references on the quality of their relocation services on a local basis; but not on a long-distance relocation. Several of my friends in the local area had used them and spoke quite highly of their services in their local moves, but no one had any experience with them on long-distance moves. Well I couldn't have been more satisfied with the result. They took care of all facets of the move, from the office manager Suzanne to Derrek Supple(the owner) in answering my phone calls to confirm and re-confirm the dates, etc. To me because of the distance involved the dates were critical - I did not want to needlessly incur storage costs if I could avoid them! As it turned out, the loading, unloading, and transportation part of the move was the least harrowing for me among all the facets of the relocation. Derrek provided me with a quality employee, DJ,, to supervise and work on the loading, transportation, and unloading of my belongings. DJ assured me that it would all work out to my satisfaction when he arrived at my home in Avon on Friday morning. He and two other people proceeded to spend approximately 1/2 the day loading my belongings on the truck. My goal in my perfect world was to complete the relocation to Charleston the following Wednesday. DJ even gave me some alternate scenarios that they could work with in the event that all did not go as planned with the closing, etc. I was fortunate that I didn't need any contingency measures, the D & D truck showed-up in Charleston at 8:00 AM on the following Wednesday as planned. DJ was on hand with a member of the same crew that loaded my furnishings to make certain that the unloading went smoothly in my new home. They attended promptly to their business, and were complete by noon in Charleston. The entire moving/relocation scenario went off as planned in my perfect world without a hitch! And to add to the good news, they completed all the work within the original budget figure that Derrek had give me. Although my actual move of furniture, crates, and boxes varied from the original estimate; D & D managed to do everything for me for their original estimate! I would use them again in a heartbeat! They gave me first-rate service, and I will always be grateful to them.

Every mover supplies big strong people who can pick up and move your things to another location. The difference in D &D is the professionalism and courtesy of their employees. Each of the six gentleman that worked our move introduced themselves with their name and a handshake when they arrived. They were polite and gracious throughout the day and really made me feel comfortable with the way they were handling all of our possessions. We realize that for them it's just another day moving "stuff," but they never once made us feel that way and approached every detail recognizing that for us this was not just another day. They were efficient and asked questions making sure to get everything moved and placed just the way we wanted it. All of our things arrived safely. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to someone else. Derrek has a great crew!

D & D's excellent customer service begins with Derrek who personally came to my house to provide an estimate for their services. Next is Suzanne who manages the office. She had to accommodated me through two scheduled move dates to meet my needs due to changes beyond my control. She always answers the phone with a smile, friendly demeanor and a desire to help. On my move date, a team of three staff members arrived promptly as scheduled and went above and beyond my expectations in service, accommodation and results. They were extremely courteous, professional, and followed an efficient and conscientious process whereby my home was a clean as it was when they came in and all of my personal affects were well cared for. They are also providing storage service for my belongings, which were carefully inventoried and reported back to me for quality control for when I am ready to have my items returned once I secure a new home. They also provided a supply of 20 boxes and packing materials included in my price. And, they were so efficient, they came in just under the estimated cost. The price was extremely competitive when compared to other companies offering similar service. I valued the opportunity to support local business and I would highly recommend D & D Moving and Storage.

Carefully and efficiently loaded moving truck, disassembled furniture as needed. Protected our belongings and the floor with provided materials. Accurate assessment of time of pickup and delivery. Our belongings arrived safely and were unloaded to my complete satisfaction.

EXCELLENT !!! Luke and DJ did an exceptional job! They did the packing and took care of the entire trip including driving the NEW air shock semi truck to Miami! They even placed the heavy furniture in the rooms! EVERYTHING arrived in excellent shape! No scratches, no chips, just perfect! We would recommend this company to anyone! Side Note: This company does not use sub contractors and after visiting with Luke and DJ I found out that they also transport extremely high quality automobiles for Snow Birds to use while they are in Florida for the winter. I was amused that these owners require "special" pads and a well equipped covered semi for their autos! GREAT WORK GUYS !!! Thank you!

I called to schedule an appointment to have a representative come out to give me an estimate on the cost of moving my whole house from Marshallville, OH to Canton OH. The woman on the other end told me that I was about 1 1/2 hours away from their location. Because of that, there would be an extra cost for travel, about $340. I told her that I understood but would like to still have an estimate done because they had an A rating. From there it went downhill. The woman on the other end basically told me that she did not want to waste her boss's time coming out to Marshallville. She felt that their price may not compare with another moving company because of the extra travel cost. Sometimes a small cost of $340 is nothing to the peace of mind that a moving company would care for your household belongs as if they were their own. I felt that D&D didn't even care if they got my business!!!! The woman on the phone told me everything she could to discourage me from using D&D! Very disappointed in the customer service.

The crew arrived right on time and we had a lot of things already packed and ready to go and they packed up all of the remaining stuff that we had not boxed like Lamps, kitchen cupboards dishes and last minute things. Everything was top notch and we really did not have a huge move so the two man crew was sufficient. Everything was packed carefully and there was no damage to anything. They worked efficiently and did not waste time at all. They stayed for as long as we needed them and really helped more than I had anticipated so we are extremely pleased with the whole job start to finish and it was worth it. I am happy to refer this mover to anyone in the future.

DandD Movers were extremely professional. They made moving day stress free and painless. All items treated with respect and care.

Driver & crew were courteous and hard working at both ends of the move. They showed up on time and had an adequate number of workers at both ends to get the job done. Two major items were broken: a wrought aluminum patio table and a 42" tv. Both items I believe were mis-handled/packed. I was surprised at the amount of damaged boxes I saw during unloading. Fortunately it was the boxes and not the contents damaged, i.e, the boxes did their job. My wife and I did all the packing of the smaller items (I was a professional package engineer dealing with corrugated boxes) and packed every thing carefully. I was surprised at the amount of damage the boxes sustained during shipment probably from stuffing the truck over full and misalignment of the shipping containers hence they all worked against one another causing boxes to crush/collapse. It will be interesting to see how D&D handle the two claims given their excellent reputation.

They have given me a quote and everything is very fair and very professional so far. I feel very confident in hiring them. The quote is for $998.

This was a challenging job as we were moving mostly antiques from a home with a very steep driveway to a mountain home with an 800 foot mountain driveway. Derrick came to our home and gave an estimate that was much less than the other estimate we received. He was able to accommodate our need to have furniture delivered a week after the pickup date. The movers, DJ and Luke ,were a true delight and very professional. The arrived on time in Ohio and N Carolina. The wrapped our family antiques with moving blankets and plastic. They brought a smaller truck to pick items up due to the steep driveway and had to move them into the larger van where they shared the ride with other family's furniture heading south. When they arrive in N Carolina they moved everything into the smaller truck we rented and then carried everything up to the house. I cannot recommend this company enough, from the owner to the friendly lady who takes calls. They made this big move much easier for us. Please use them and you will not regret it!

We initially contact D&D and two other movers mid-April. Out of the three, D&D offered the best price and service. Due to the transition of a partial relocation along with finding a house in Georgia and selling the North Ridgeville house, we needed a "partial-move" to empty out the excess in the N.R. house. D&D stored the boxes from the partial move at no additional charge along with boxes. This helped a lot. From the estimate to the partial move, storage, final packing (We had A LOT of pictures, photo albums, collectables, etc.), to unloading in Rome, the staff was courteous, professional, and worked with us throughout the entire process to make sure things went the way we needed them to go. They even went out of their way to help me move items out of the Georgia house to make room. Everything showed up and no damage was noted. I would recommend D&D to anyone who needs a professional company who will go the distance to ensure your move goes smoothly at the best price.

The movers literally packed up our entire house. They were fast, friendly and took very good care of our belongings. The truck they brought to NY wasn't quite big enough for all of our possessions, but they didn't miss a beat, as they rented a UHaul, finished the packing and didn't charge us extra. They took apart large furniture apart (beds, cribs, dining room table, etc) and put it back together in the new house. They were willing to unload our stuff into any room in our new house and were very thorough in asking us where we wanted certain boxes to go. We haven't unpacked everything yet, but so far there has been no damage.

Derrek and his crew did a great job moving us from WV to Ohio. They were quick, efficient and on time.

It went well from our initial meeting. Derrek was friendly and professional from the first time we met and was very accommodating regarding the openness of a date for our upcoming move - we did not have an exact date for moving due to my husband traveling so much with work, but had a window of a few weeks. When we confirmed our move date we planned to move over two days (we were moving with a newborn and toddler), however, there was a storm moving in so it was decided to pack everything up in one day. We went ahead that evening and stayed in a hotel that night and the truck arrived the next morning as planned. The guys were very professional and fantastic with our kids. We honestly felt like we could trust them from the second they come through the door. We thought we were ready when they arrived, even though we had a few boxes left to pack (i.e. things for the baby etc. that we were using) -- the first movers we used a few years ago were so slow -- that was not the case with D&D Moving. The guys had our stuff packed up in record time; it was almost overwhelming at how quickly they had everything on the truck; but everything went well and we would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others.

Overall the experience was not that bad (we moved several times in the past, so we had something to compare it to). Right after the move, the only negatives were a big scratch on one of our nice chests of dwarers (for various factors - too busy, etc, we never addressed it with them, and now I deeply regret it, we should have) and a table that they forgot to put back together (also didnt leave the screws, we had to call them and they brought the screws later). However, yesterday (4 months after the move) our king size bed collapsed. When we went to fix it, we realized that the supports for the matress are not screwed into the frame. And, of course, we dont have the screws. For now we managed to put the supports back in place and put the mattress back on (which wasnt easy considering the size and weight of the mattress and the fact that we had to spend a lot of time under the bed making sure the supports are in place). Now we have to find the screws that would work for this bed, and at this point of time we are not sure if we can just get them at Home Depot (would be nice). The supports and the frame have deep holes and we are not sure if simple screws will work. Again, overall the experience wasnt that bad (I still flinch every time I look at the scratch on the chest of drawers though), but overall we believe that the professionalist and level of care could be better for the company with the reputation that is pretty good. We are surpised now, tha majority of reviews are really positive, however, I cannot give them an A after our bed collapsing yesterday. Overall the word "negligent" comes to mind. We will not be hiring them again and we will not be recommending them.

There were excellent across the board. They were very curious and professional. I thought they went above and beyond and even helped load stuff in my car.

They stepped up as we were not as ready as we thought we were on the day of the move. they handled it with ease. We had 2 trucks one going to our new home in North Ridgeville and 1 truck going to parma heights and Parma to leave of items st our children's homes as part of our downsizing effort. I would highly recommend for any move.

We were happy to receive the recommendation for D&D Moving and see they had a high rating on Angie's List. One of the owners came to give us an estimate for moving. We chose to hire three movers for our same-day in-county move. The movers arrived on time, previewed the stuff to move and began immediately. They found our new house easily as well. They were courteous at each location, and asked us where we wanted everything at the new place (they even moved a mis-labeled box after bringing it into the house). They finished much earlier (about an hour) than stated in the estimate, and charged us less due to taking less time. I gladly recommend this moving company.

It went very well. They were quick and efficient and most importantly didn't break anything!

Initially, everything went smoothly. The lady working in the office was super nice and helpful, and seemed to offer a fair quote. The movers showed up on time, seemed pumped up to get work done, and managed to get everything out of the house very quickly. However, things got stickier at the new place. I did my best to direct the movers to get the items into the correct rooms. However, one large piece was obviously too large for the home and obviously too cumbersome for the movers. Flooring and walls and ceilings were damaged by this large piece, and because of the time spent figuring out how to manuever the large piece our initial quote was no longer. It ended up costing nearly $400 more than the initial quote. I paid, and then emailed the nice lady I was originally dealing with. She asked for photos, which I sent, and then offered to have the damage repaired or to partially refund us. I sent an email stating whichever was more cost effective for them, and never heard back. They never followed up. I'm not angry about it, I just probably won't go with D&D again in the future.

We got several other estimates, but decided to go with D&D. They were not the least expensive, but competitive. This was one of the best decisions of our out of state moving experience. They were exemplary from the first phone contact in September 2013 to the final hand shake in March 2014. Every member of their organization is professional, courteous and helpful. Derrek, the owner, Suzanne, who runs the home office, and Patrick, Mike and Jimmy who headed our move from Ohio were just invaluable in providing comfort during our out of state move. They are available to answer questions prior to the move, they are prompt, polite and professional during the move and I would highly recommend them and would never consider using anyone else in the future!!!
