Description of Work: Started oit fine, but as the day went on, they did not seem to care abiut good service. Seemed like they rushed to get things done. Broken items, missing items still at old address, damaged items....some we are still finding 6 months after living at new address. Worker borrowed glass, and never gave back. Company had someone return a week later...person who dropped it off was rude about it. Used tools of ours (unbeknownst to us) and left them laying in the yard. We would need to jump through hoops for any compensation...we did not proceed and just wanted it over. The cost went up from what we were quoted as well. NEVER WILL USE THEM OR RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN.

Description of Work: They moved me two blocks and did not take care of my fine furniture.One of the workers got tired and didn't want to do any more. The supervisor was very nice and considerate but his team were not hard workers like he was. Broke my desk and had to be repaired and still didn't put it together correctly.

Description of Work: Moved all contents of my west side home across town (filled the entire 24 foot box truck), then went nearby to pick up furniture from my husbands house. I believe we took approximately 9 hours start to finish. The three man crew was efficient and obviously experienced. Even taking heavy and antique pieces up stairs went smoothly. From the moment I called, to the in home estimate with the owner, to moving day, I was more than pleased. They even provided some boxes, wardrobes, dish packs, and mattress bags without additional cost. This is a top notch company, and their prices beat the competition too. I very highly recommend them!

Description of Work: The company was very professional & the movers were experienced, friendly & a lot of fun. They wrapped & packed every thing. moved it from Cleve. Oh. to Florida. I had a lot of delicate & breakable pieces & art work. Absolutely not one piece was damaged or broken. The same movers that packed, drove, & delivered every thing on time. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Description of Work: Three men arrived on time , loaded the truck, stopped one hour for lunch, and unloaded the truck. the men were extremely co-operative in moving a few pieces a couple of times. Tey were simply outstanding!

Description of Work: The company provided boxes at no additional charge and wardrobes (10) the day of my move. I requested Will as he was among the two movers three years ago when I moved last. I moved from a third floor townhome to a single family home and for the second time, no damage and very smooth transition. I would recommend them to anyone; professional and very pleasant to work with.

Description of Work: I called D&D to inquire about their services for moving. It turned out that their location is too far from the area that I am moving within, however what I appreciated is their telling me that - and also that it would cost more to use them because of the distance. Description of Work: My brother-in-law passed away after a three year illness. My family and I were cleaning the house and getting rid of medical equipment. Our truck to move the hospital bed to a nearby nursing home for donation fell through. I called D&D and they were great! They showed great compassion to our situation, and arranged to have the bed picked up by one of their crews finishing a job. This made such a difference to my sister, to have all of the medical equipment moved out of the house so efficiently. The crew was lovely, and asked if we needed help moving anything else. I plan to use D&D for a move this summer...they were just great!

 + -1 moreI received quotes from three or four other movers and their quote was the lowest. They seemed reasonably likely to be able to deliver on what they said they were going to. In fact, they did deliver. It was not perfect but acceptable. I don't remember if it was a huge amount. There was one of their guys that I interacted with who had started out with not much of anything but had built a business on his own in over fifteen years or so. He seemed relatively honest and did exactly what he said he would do. The only exception being, he gave an estimate based on the estimation of stuff that was in the storage facility. He led me to believe, that was a maximum. They would weigh the truck before and after they have loaded it and give me a quote of what the actual weight was. If the weight was less than the estimation then they would charge me less but that did not happen. Once I had accepted that number that was what they charged me for. However, this was my perception as their price seemed fair and also I was not a local. I decided that any differences would probably be fairly small compared to the efforts that would take in demanding for the weighing slip.
Description of Work: I have used the services of D and D Moving in August 2009 for moving my stuff from Ohio to Massachusetts.

 + -1 moreEmployees were in general good but a few were careless. They packed some things in error. These were legal papers and jewelry. It was an honest error. They damaged an antique chair and table. 5 lamps also were damaged. I have called several times to discuss. I sent an itemized bill for the damaged goods and he refused to pay, but at first he told me to send the bill.
