ARCO has been serving the greater Cincinnati & Dayton Area since 1999. All of our technicians are certified sweeps and inspectors with the CSIA. ( Chimney Safety Institute of America ) Also, ARCO is a member of the Chimney Sweeping Guild and stay up to date with all new fire codes and county regulations. Here at ARCO we take pride in being an honest, straight forward family business looking for steady work at a fair profit. Our owner, Patrick Archer, spent 4 years in the military before being honorably discharged and starting college. Patrick's last 21 years has been in the construction industry with 15 of those years owning ARCO. We also have HAAG Certified Inspectors for those customers needing a certified roof inspection for their insurance company or any storm related claim damage. We have gathered loyal people with integrity, values, & experience. Our interior & exterior construction knowledge, combined with our on the job expertise makes ARCO a company you can count on! Description of Work: Well to originally the guy that came over that did the sweep, made a mess. The owner had him come back out to clean it. he owner also came to my house and apologized, checked the work and finished what the former employee didn't do and gave me an excellent deal on a chimney cap damper. The owner went above and beyond to make up for the first visit and I am very pleased with his customer service. He stands behind his company and makes good on his word. One bad employee can make a mess of things, but he is no longer working with the company because of the complaints.

Description of Work: First the serviceman argued with me that I did not have a gas fireplace - that I had a gas wood-fire starter system. Finally, I asked if he was going to clean it or not. He did not want to do all that was specified in the offer, but eventuall did most of it. Finally, he got soot on my rug in two places which I eventually got out. No, I would not use them again.

Description of Work: The chimney cleaning was fine and at a fair price. However, they used this as an opportunity to try to sell me on $2500 in chimney repairs. I also had to call and ask for the photos and an explanation of why they told me it was unsafe to burn a fire in a fireplace I had been using all year. They offered to lower the repair fees if I did them all at once but I am going to look at other providers. It felt like I went in for a low price oil change and was told I needed all the additional services.
