Description of Work: No bad interaction with this company, however, they could not service/inspect gas fireplaces so I had too look elsewhere. Perhaps their advertisement on AL should indicate this more prominently.

Description of Work: Armco originally came out to clean out my gas fireplace & get it working again. John did a great job & contained the mess. We opted to order new logs, as age & deterioration had our old ones crumbling. He ordered, delivered & installed the new ones, which are really nice quality. I would definitely recommend Arco to everyone as a great company to do business with.

Description of Work: They performed the advertised special service ($99), which was to inspect and clean the chimney. After the inspection, they recommended some chimney repair services as well as a deep cleaning to remove glazed creosote. All of their recommendations were supported by photography. They were prompt, courteous and professional.

Description of Work: I purchased this service to replace a damper on my fireplace to help with drafts and to make needed masonry repairs. A cap/sealer was placed on the top of my chimney and some masonry repairs were made. I had to call them out twice after installation and neither time did they show up when they stated they were coming. They claim to have fixed all the leaking problems (dripping rain into my fireplace that I did not have prior to work being done).They claim they did not need me to be home to perform any repairs but I wanted to be there in order to ask questions and observe the repairs. The Spring rains will determine whether the "repairs" held. I still get major drafts from the fireplace. I felt it was a waste of money.

Description of Work: The workman did a great job cleaning up the fireplace in the living room with no mess at all. The ash dump was handled well, but left some ash around the basement that we had to clean up. In defense of the workman, the ash dump clean out is in a rather awkward spot behind the boiler and hot water heater. I would have them back again.

Description of Work: Gas fireplace was inspected and inside was cleaned as expected. However, the technician refused to clean the glass work telling my wife that he did not carry any glass cleaner. So she ended up doing it herself while he had the glass open and was cleaning the inside. The fireplace regulator needed to be replaced and he was to email me a written estimate for the new part and installation but I never received it.
