Description of Work: After cleaning which was a very good and through job they tried to tell me that I needed all of my refractory plates replaced even though the only bad one is the one in back. That did not sit well with me at all. Everywhere I read it says to only replace those that are cracked and the crack is bigger than a nickel width, again that only applies to the back panel.

Description of Work: Swept and inspected the chimney - and for that service - they get a decent score. The photos they provided were taken with a cell phone from the opening up top and the hearth below. I expect when a chimney sweep tells me they are going to give me pictures, that they will be done with a camera that goes inside the chimney. Thus - the inspection was of parts of the flue that I can inspect myself. | |Sweeping of the flue was not aggressive. Then, the sweep made recommendations for a total flue replacement. This flue is probably around 10 feet or so long. That being said - I know replacing a chimney flue is a lot of work. Conservatively speaking,I'm gonna say - a days work for 2 semi skilled individuals - let's call that 500 bucks. Call it 500 bucks for the company owner and a thousand for materials (I looked the materials up). That's around 2000 dollars plus tax. Heck, call it 2500 if you like... I would be okay with that. These guys wanted more than $4000.00 to do this work. I just wanted to ensure you know where I'm coming from when I say these folks were pricey.

Description of Work: We called them for a chimney sweep and they happen to have a cancellation the next day, so I didn't have to wait a month :) I was scheduled for 2pm, I called to ask if they had anything earlier, I would appreciate being moved up because I had to get to the hospital for my mother in law. Denise (?) who answered the phone went above and beyond . she contacted tech and he arranged his schedule to get to ours at about noon! Nick and Denise were so kind and I would definitely use them again! thanks so much for great customer service!!!

Description of Work: We had two chimneys cleaned and inspected. Nick wrote up a very comprehensive review of both fireplaces and we will be actioning those recommendations with Arco. We will probably use them for the new roof we need as well. Everyone we have dealt with has been super nice and professional.

Description of Work: They cleaned the chimney and repaired some inside work on the chimney that had gone unnoticed to make the fireplace work more efficiently. The representative arrived on time and went straight to work. Discussed the fireplace issue and gave an additional price before repairing it. I would recommend this company for anyone looking for an excellent chimney sweep job.
