Did good job

They installed the fan stand on another person’s house instead of my house. They went to these peoples home when they were not at home, drilled a hole in the roof and installed it there. When I called and asked them where my fan was they said that they had already put it up. They gave me a hard time and told me that they were out for a $ 500 fan that they had installed on someone else’s house. They eventually came back out after I called the American express and said I was not going to pay for it. However, it took them another ten days to come back out and all they had to say was that they were out $ 500 for the fan which I really did not care about. Their punctuality was fine as they were on time coming out initially.

To start there was a scheduling mix up and I waited hours for the tech to arrive. Gentlemen were very nice and they finished in 20 minutes; included was time he took trying to sell me a different type of gutter guard. Downspout flushing was not done as was advertised as part of the deal; tech said it wasn't needed; they would run clear, he could tell by tapping on the pipe. They left debris aroung the house. I e-mailed photos of this to the company; they responded right away via phone and sent a crew within 24 hours and debris was cleared. When I hooked up with a rep from the company he told me he was refunding half of the fee which was more than I expected until he told me downspout flushing was not intended to be part of the deal; it never should have been printed as such on Angie's List. That part of the service was what I was interested in most as the basement had been getting water during rainy periods and I wanted to see if that was part of the problem. Since then I have discovered a spout behind some bushes completely distached from the drain pipe; I am not holding them responsible for that; it would have been nice to discover 2 months ago tho. Also a corner of a gutter has been bent and as I cannot say how this happened, it wasn't like that a week before these guys were here but it was the next day. The folks from the office were very concerned and professional about fixing the debris situation which was appreciated. In their defense I did not tell them about the bent gutter; I was done dealing with the situation by then.

Jeff was wonderful and went above and beyond the call of duty. While he was up on the roof, he noticed some things that were not right with both of my chimneys, which I had previously had repaired by another contractor. The reason he had told me about them, is because I had had some leaking water damage in my house in the ceiling. I called the owner of the company to come over and take a look at the work his crew had done to determine if it was done correctly. Since I didn't understand all of the terms concerning the repairs, and felt I couldn't argue intelligently about what needed to be done, I asked Jeff if he could come over when the owner of the other company was there to explain to him what he saw. He readily did so without charging me anything for the service. I totally appreciated the extra support I received from Jeff. Jeff returned later to complete the work he was contracted to do-install an attic fan. He arrived on time, worked quickly and cleaned up everything. He was very helpful and honest with a lot in integrity.

I was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It went wonderful. The two young gentlemen did a great job. They came here hen they said they were gonna be here and they did the job. I liked everything. They were on time and very polite. I offered them refreshments because it was hot, I said that after the job was done they would have some water. They worked hard and got the job done.

The crew was very professional and friendly.

Immediately after my purchase the contractor called and set up an appointment. The work was done three days after. He even fixed some dent and loose screws.

It was a big deal purchase. The fine print said that it only included 2 story houses but this is a 3 story home. There was no extra charge. They were very nice. For the special the pricing was very good. The water seems to be running through the gutters. Responsiveness was very good.

I had to go to work, on the day they came.I know they were here because they left a card in the door. But that is all I know. They were to send me an evaluation of the roof but I never received it. So I am assuming it was fine. I cannot see into the gutters so I assume they are clean.

no phone call to schedule cleaning after I called and left a message. Missed first scheduled appointment. Late for second appointment. GPS took them to wrong house was their reason for being late. Told me they would e-mail receipt and an estimate to install leafs guards. Never did receive info. They were always very professional on the phone and in person. Looked to me as if they had lots of gutter cleaning jobs and sceduling issues.

The work they did was average however, I was unsure if they had flushed the down spouts. They told me they dont do it unless they have to but I told them it was part of the coupon. They had to come back out to finish the project. I wish they would have called a head of time before they arrived.

They were supposed to arrive between 1 and 2, he called me at 12:50 and said he was running a little late and will be there at 2:15, which is when they arrived. 15 minutes late is really no big deal but I appreciated the notice very much. Two guys came, got right to work and cleaned my gutters, and it appears they did a good job. I saw them throwing big things off the roof and cleaning out the gutters. I did not check their work (I hired them because I'm way too clumsy to go up a ladder myself) but the spot that was leaking when it rained (gutter was overflowing) does not leak anymore. They took pictures of a crack in the chimney roof and showed how it was leaking and the water damage it was causing, and quoted me a price to fix it. I will definitely be calling them back to fix it next paycheck. Would recommend! The two gentlemen were both very professional and friendly. A+ company.

It took a few calls to get them to answer the phone, but from the sound of it they are a small local company and a lot of people had been getting work done so I wasn't surprised. When they did answer they were very professional and called me back shortly after go schedule an appointment. The estimator showed up at exactly when he said he would, and we quickly went around the house to take a look at the damages. He very plainly explained how the process worked with insurance claims, and gave me an honest opinion on what he thought the insurance company would look at and what he expected.

I am very glad, I have found a reliable general contractor in my community!

I was working with another Company, and they were having a very hard time finding my siding, even with the help of my insurance company. I got very frustrated and called Arco, they had done my roof a few years previous (competive bid, showed up when they said they would, completed in a day, great quality). Patrick was able to find my speicfication on his own, his price was less than the other company, and he always called to keep me up on progress.

I called for an estimate and they were out within a couple days. I was told I had more damage than a couple shingles missing and I should call my insurance to see if they would cover the hail/wind damage. I was extremely thankful for the guidance and my insurance company covered the replacement in full. Since ARCO was so helpful and reasonable, I asked for a gutter quote and had them complete that job too. I am extremely satisfied with the jobs. I have recommended them to my neighbors.

We'd had Arco do roof and deck work for us before so when we needed our shutters replaced we contacted them. The color and style choices they presented were fine so we went ahead with the job. It took a couple of weeks for the shutters to come in, but once they did Arco completed the work promptly and carted off the old ones. The house looks much better. One pair of shutters arrived from the factory broken so Arco put up the first 6 pairs that arrived and mounted the last set when the replacement came in about 2 weeks later. Not a problem. Arco's personal attention to each job and willingness to address each issue that comes up is important to us, so we'll continue to bring them in when we need work done.

Overall, Next time we need our deck serviced I will make sure the price includes untaping covered trim and replacing deck furniture.

The job itself was done well, and they were good at keeping in contact with me during the job process. He estimated the job to take 5-7 days, and it ended up taking over a month because the incorrect material was sent, and because of weather delays. The dumpster was removed a couple of days after the job was complete, but the incorrect siding material was left at the house, and it was never removed. After 3 weeks I finally was able to get him on the phone, and first he said he never got my original message from the week before, then he said he would take care of it. I have since tried phone messages and emails, and he has not returned anything. Six weeks after the job was finished, I finally left a message indicating that I was initiating complaints with BBB and Angie's List. I worked with an Angie's List representative to describe the desired resolution. Two days later, the material was finally removed so I ended the complaint process. I am disappointed that I had to take these steps to prompt action from this company and that I did not receive any communication from them since initiating the complaint.

Patrick and his crew were very organized and detailed. He was very responsive and the job was performed as agreed. He was attentive to details and really cared about the results. I would definitely recommend Arco for any home project.

Job 1: Patrick Archer was one of the very few contractors who quoted who really listened to what we wanted. He is very knowledgeable in his trade and helped us through the issues. His installation crew were professional and took the pains required to do a good job, not just finish the job. ($8,965) Job 2: A caulk joint between the chimney and the house separated at several points. It appeared the caulk had not been applied properly. I sent an email to Patrick Archer(our contact). He responded promptly and said that the foreman of the crew that did the job would be out to fix it in a few days. He showed up and fixed it when we were not at home and did a good job. It is nice to deal with someone who stands behind their work.
