Velvet Lawns

Prevented dandelions for about a month.

The yard is beautiful and weed free.  Once or twice weeds have shown up and they came right our to take care of them.

Lawn was in excellent shape all year.  Very affordable w coupon.

The interaction we had was good and the service was performed as stated. The price was reasonable for the service.  Scheduling went very good and they came on the days they appointed. The results are great.

I hired them based on a deal & to hopefully rid my lawn of violets. They informed me that they could not.

Went fine. They did the 3 applications over the course of some months.

The experiences we had with Velvet Lawns has been fine. They did what they said they would do and took care of the lawn.

Sprayed lawn for weeds. Killed plants in my yard and both neighboring yards. Didn't respond to repeated phone calls.

Overall, the experience has been very good and I look forward to working with them again this season.  My experience with Velvet Lawns was a huge improvement over my last experience with a lawn care service.

Helped a great deal, but I still had weeds sprout up.

The company did their magic and left a flag on my lawn saying that it had been treated. I used their services all of this year. My lawn is definitely looking better, and their treatments are cheaper than doing it yourself. I'm a happy camper.

First of all please disregard the  review for another company, I mistakenly thought that was the company you asked about because that was the last one I used. As you can see I was not totally satisfied with them. As for Velvet  Lawn  I was not happy with the results and discontinued the service. I did not have a good conversation with them when I called to cancel their service.

The weeds were never entirely killed after a full season of service.  I decided to stop their service  and wrote them to that effect on my last billing statement. They ignored the message and came again about a week ago.  i paid for this serice because it was completed but I again wrote on the statement to discontinue the service.  I am also going to call them and tell them on the phone.
   I also thought the price was too high because I had gotten the same service for a better price and a larger coverage area. After many calls from Weed Man I decided to go with them and give them a chance because he assured me they would get rid of the weeds.
  I have came to the conclusion you can never totally get rid of the weeds.  I may go back to the company who gave me a better price

They came at appropriate intervals and treated the lawn as contracted.

I hired Velvet Lawn with the expectation of improving the quality of my lawn after several treatments. After their scheduled three treatments I was no longer expecting their service. Several months later they called about treating my lawn again and after I said "no" they came out again and billed me. I disputed the service and Velvet lawn reduced the price which I paid. Several months later they came out again treated my lawn without my knowledge until I received a bill. I called them to discuss the matter which they did not return my call regarding the bill. I had to get an outside source to address the matter (Angie's List) where it was promptly taken care of.

I only received one treatment to date...please advise if there is more to come...asap

All contact was by phone, did not meet anyone.  The yard was sprayed as agreed and weeds wilted.  Two tretments remain, would use again.

the overall experience so far is positive

It's been very good and is less expensive than the company I was using before.

They were not punctual and I never knew when they would come. They would stick the bill on the door and if the wind blew it away, I would never know till they call about it. I liked the lawn but not the service.

They have improved my lawn. They have gotten rid of the weeds and thickened my lawn. They come out when they say they are going to. The technicians are easy to talk to.

They are very reliable and do excellent work. They are always ready to explain things and they are considerate to leave a note to let me know when I can let my pets back in the yard after spraying.

We are very satisfied with them. We have used them for many years. They are very responsive. They always call ahead of time so that we can get our dogs in.
