They did come out to fertilize and do the weed control. My mother in law said the guy did it so fast that maybe som areas didnt get covered. I am surprise after a number of applications..The lawn should not have any weeds or at least less weeds but we didnt see a difference.

good.  did what they promised.  on time.  price was introductory.  will probably contract next season.  although not all of the undesirable weeds were eradicated.  lawn was a real mess.  greatly improved.

I had one previous experience with this company which was exemplary. I reviewed it with straight A's. This experience was very different.
Well into the summer I called to say that my yard had more weeds in it this year than last year and would they take a look at it for me and see if they thought the yard was responding according to their standards. The response I got was a very curt and short answer that the Big Deal I signed up for only provided very basic weed protection and that almost everyone needed more treatments than that. After I questioned that, politely, in a second email, and a third, I continued to get basically the same response. At one point in these conversation, both on the phone and by email, I mentioned that a month or so earlier they had killed an almost perfectly round circle in my backyard a little less than a yard across. The response was, "Oh yeah, we had an equipment problem."
This series of exchanges led to the following email exchanges I have cut and pasted from the Angies List message page:
ME: On your phone message you said the treatments I signed up for were very basic and only included one weed treatment. This is a copy and paste from your advertisement. 
$149 for five lawn fertilizer applications
"Includes crabgrass and weed control, as well as grub, insect, and winterizing treatments
April: fertilizer plus weed and crabgrass prevention
May: weed and feed
June: fertilizer plus grub control
July: fertilizer plus summer insect control
October: Winterizer"
That specifically states "includes crabgrass and weed control". Please help me understand.

ME I am puzzled by your replies. Obviously I am not happy with the condition of my yard. You keep saying that additional treatments are needed but not included in my "bare bones" Big Deal purchase. Your ad certainly didn't indicate that. Until I said my yard is worse this year than last, you never conveyed that "reality" to me or recommended any additional treatments through the summer. You are not now recommending any additional treatments, either at full cost, no cost, or somewhere in between.
Your response to the damage in my yard, while not hugely substantial damage, was to say, "oh yeah, sorry about that we had a mechanical problem." You didn't notify me at the time. You didn't offer to put down a little dirt and grass seed next time you came.
Your message seems to be that you don't want me as a customer. The only reason I can think of for that is because I purchased a Big Deal which you must think you are losing money on and makes you think I'm a cheapskate or something. I used you a year ago and gave you a straight A rating. Is there something I'm missing here?

ME At the appropriate time please come by and do the final treatment for which I have already paid. The fact it took you three responses to act like you cared in even a small way is enough to let me know how you do business. I'll put some weedkiller on my lawn and dig up the new crabgrass myself. I hope when I review this experience on Angies List you will have enough integrity to not respond on that forum as if I have been anything but patient and reasonable in this matter.
I never heard back from them. Earlier this week they did the final treatment on my yard.

Everything went fine. They showed up as planned, performed the aeration and seeding quickly and efficiently. It was a good experience for me because they were so efficient. By that I mean, they arrived, got their equipment set up and 2 men went to work each doing one of the jobs. I hardly noticed they were working outside except for the minimal noise from the machine. My grass is growing quite nicely, very healthy looking.

They did a good job.  So far so good.

The sewer line to my house was replaced last August. The grass never recovered, so I hired Affordable Lawncare. I bought the topsoil, they spread it out, added grass seed and covered with straw. It even rained last nite to save me the first days watering ! The only problem was that he wanted $150. more than he quoted. I showed him a copy of his quote, and after some back and forth, he charged me the quoted amount. (I have had this problem before from Angie's list providers)

Affordable Lawncare has done a great of maintaining my lawn on a weekly basis.  Great attention to detail .. the lawn always looks good!

Everything went well.

It went very well. ACTUALLY THERE WAS MISCOMMUNICATION BY ME BY SOME ERROR, FOR WHICH REASON THEY CAME AND AERATED THE FRONT LAWN OF MY HOUSE AND SKIPPED THE BACK PART. AFTER I REALIZED, I DID CALL THEM IN THE AFTERNNOON TO COMPLETE THE FIRST PART TOO, IT WAS A TIGHT SCHEDULE FOR THEM AND THEY HAD TO RETURN THE DEVICES I ASSUME, DESPITE WHICH HE WAS SO POLITE TO SQEEZE MY HOUSE AT 8 PM WHEN THEY CAME AND FINISHED IT. VERY PROFESSIONAL, HUMBLE PERSON. HONESTLY, I AM NOT A REVIEW PERSON, BUT TO THESE GUYS, I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO GIVE THEM THIS POSITIVE RESPONSE FOR THE WORK AND COMMITMENT THEY DID.

They did a fine job.  It required cutting down large shrubs and then digging these out by the roots.  Old shrubs were then bundled and placed out for trash pickup.  New shrubs were planted appropriately and watered down.  No problems.

This was the first service i have purchased from Angie's list and I am very pleased.  The company contacted me very quickly to get the service set-up, the crew came in and performed the service quickly without disturbing me or anyone.  They got in and out quickly which was a great benefit when you have Dog's.

I contacted Kole this morning and asked about aeration.  I had him do some sod removal for new garden beds last fall and they did a great job.  He and Josh came out the same day I called and did a great job.  Raked the little plugs off the walks, professional, hard working, and my kids loved watching the whole time.  Thanks again for great work Kole!

The did exactly what they said.  I have fertilized my own lawn in the past and decided to use someone else because of the deal.  I will probably do it myself next year.

Set up appointmenet quickly.  Arrived on time.  Performed the work I wanted and was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

They showed up more or less on time.  However, I dont believe they worked the full time purchased.  So instead of asking if there was anything else to work on, they left.  In my observation they worked about half of the man-hours purchased.
