Description of Work: Removed skylight and retextured ceiling.

Description of Work: Prepped and painted a brick facade and all the wood trim on a 2-story house, plus sealed the wood ceiling on a new back porch. Did a fine job.

Description of Work: Conracted Curb Appeal to paint our kitchen cabinets. They were extremely professional and the cabinets look fantastic! We could have never achieved that look on our own! Would definitely hire again.

Description of Work: Our very old, very mottled aluminum siding was repainted, along with all the trim, shutters, front and garage doors. They also did some minor repair work, replacing a few pieces of damaged aluminum siding, and replacing some rotted wood pieces above the front windows and below the doors. |Everyone involved was courteous about calling to confirm times, and they arrived when they said they would. They were also excellent about following up if we had questions or concerns, and did what was asked of them so that the job was done to our satisfaction.

Description of Work: Whole house scraping and painting plus the garage plus all of the window wells after removing storm windows. Our house was built in the 1920's and is over 3 stories and they did a great job - very pleased and no paint chips in the garden beds. Crew was very professional and a pleasure to work with. Excellent job!

Description of Work: I was looking forward to using Curb Appeal. We would see their signs as we drove around Cleveland. We got an estimate. It was in the middle of the pack of our estimates. We had heard that they were good at details, so they were a bit more expensive. We had also heard from our neighbors that they are hit or miss based on the crew they send out. Sadly, our crew was a miss. The start date kept fluctuating because of the weather, which is acceptable. But they started the prep process and painted in the same day. (I am betting this paint job won't last very long!) I didn't really know what day they were starting, so I wasn't home for them. They chose to take some liberties such as not asking me how I wanted my window sills painted. Now around the first floor of my house, I have some windows that have four bricks up the side painted to no bricks up the side painted. Just alone on the back window of our hours we had 2, 3 and 4. When I said I didn't want anything painted they said "Oh we did what was there". I actually have pictures to show that they didn't also follow what was there. It was almost worn off too. When I asked them to fix it, they said it would be $40/hour plus materials. If they had asked in the first place, there wouldn't be anything to fix. From what the lead guy told me, he had two brand new guys on the team. He apologized for not checking their work and ended up basically repainting the house again on a Saturday. There were windows that had the storms off (there were a couple windows they couldn't access since I couldn't get them open!) that were completely unpainted. I could still pull the glazing off with my hands. I probably walked around the house about ten time to show all of the issues over and over. By the end there were still two lentils that were unpainted, but I didn't have the energy to go around for the 11th time with them. They were on the first floor and I decided I would just do it myself. Basically they were the farthest thing from detail oriented. They did fix a few more things for us like a door that looked really bad. I will say one of the owner DJ was great. He was super responsive at first. The moment he insisted on the check on there final day, he has been pretty absent. They sent a feedback survey where I ripped them apart and mentioned the unfinished work, but nothing came of it. Overall a pretty disappointing experience. In conclusion, yeah they can get the job done and they will probably fix it for you until it is at your satisfaction, but I would probably just pick a different painter so you can avoid the extra work. The house looks fine for the most part (besides the goofy sills).

Description of Work: I bought a big deal for 4 Man Hours of Drywall/Plaster Repair! They did a repair after a toilet overflowed.They get total thumbs up, and I would use them again. Scheduling an appointment with them was very flexible. They came out when I wanted them to.

Description of Work: I asked Curb Appeal to estimate a drywall repair & painting job. Their estimate was obviously inflated to avoid doing significant work for the coupon's agreed pricing. I already explained this is detail when I spoke with Angie's List Member Services (twice), who both agreed to refund the coupon price.

Description of Work: Mike came out and gave us an estimate on painting the exterior of the house - it is an 1100 square foot bungalow. The estimate was $2000. He spoke with my husband in detail about our home. His estimate even included the repairing of two fo our windows that had wood that was damaged. We are getting our house ready to sell, so we needed to go with the least expensive quote, which unfortunately was someone else. Curb Appeal was the second least expensive. If we were planning on staying in our home, we probably would have chosen Curb Appeal. Mike called a couple of weeks later to follow up from his estimate. Throughout the entire process, he was extremely professional and responsive.
