CURB APPEAL PAINTING

Initial pressure wash did not get all of the dirt from the top panels of siding(those panels that are under the eaves). Follow-up by company rep. did result in an excellent job being performed after complaint. Painting portion of job was performed in excellent manner with excellent results.

It went well overall. The estimate was provided with punctuality. The painters showed up early every day and worked daily as weather permited. Painters were friendly and professional. Tracy from the office staff was also helpful and professional. Our need for painting was long over due and these guys made our house look very good again.

They did a great job. They came exactly when they said they would and finished the job in two days, They were neat, didn't spill paint all over, cleaned up the area, and the walls look great.

Called them based on grades in Angie's list and good comments. Very responsive; estimate the next day, and willing to commit to getting the painting done this season. Estimate was more than $1,500 below that of a comparable company. Did some touch up to the stucco of the house by way of stain removal in advance of their work. Crew was professional and great to work for. Their work was impeccable. Would recommend these folks to anyone.

Curb Appeal Painting did such a great job painting our cabinets that our whole kitchen looks brand new! We are looking forward to having the exterior of our house painted in a couple of years and definitely Curb Appeal Painting will be our choice of painters again. Our experience with them was that they delivered excellent customer service, they had friendly employees, exceptional painting and they definitely took pride in their work. They were wonderful people and very polite. They gave me a little bit more than what I had asked for.

I like the completely professional approach that Curb Appeal Painting has towards the job. Their people are extremely courteous and nice. I had a couple of issues with the painting before, but they are taking care of them without any problems, now. I am extremely happy with them. They have given me an estimate and I hope that will be the amount that I will end up paying for the job. I can say that they are really trying hard to do a great job.

Company was very responsive. Owner came to do an estimate the day after the phone call. Estimate was done and explained to me. Work was done within a week. Workers were on time and always explained what would be done on a certain day. Workers were extremly friendly and clean. I would recommend the company any time.

They did a wonderful job. I had one problem and didn't hear from them for 3 weeks but went out to check and it was already done and didn't charge me for that. They were prompt and did a great job. It's been a year and there are no problems. They were very polite and courteous.

It went very well. The work was done professionally and efficiently and now looks beautiful. The windows were in really poor condition, and the iron railing was abysmal, but now everything is perfect.

They did a good job. They were very prompt with the quote and that was nice. We ran into some timing issues because of the weather but it worked out well.

They were fabulous, and their price was good. They were there everyday that it took for the work to be done, and they were fast. They scraped the paint that was coming off and they primed the surfaces, which the people we had hired before had not done, due to which the paint was peeling off after a couple of years. They guaranteed their work, and it was transferable to the new people. They were quick and efficient with their work.

I selected this company from Angie's List because it was an A-listed company, but the company evidently sent me a C-level painting crew. (The carpenter did a good job.) Problems included: 1. Minimal prep work. Several sections had to be re-sanded and re-painted. 2. Failure to use drop cloths to cover foundation plants. My holly bushes, rhododendrons and other shrubs are still covered with the fine, tan-colored mist from the paint spray guns. 3. Failure to cover windows or wood door, or clean paint mist from windows. Cleaning the windows cost me $100, which the company did reimburse, to its credit. However, I still have a fine paint mist covering my natural wood front door. 4. Crew cleaned their paint brushes in my flower beds, leaving paint residue in the garden area. They left the garden hose running, which washed out dirt from the garden area into the lawn area. 5. Failure to cut in properly which resulted in white trim paint on finished wood porch ceilings. The crew leader returned to remove the white paint, which stripped the finish from the wood ceiling. On a positive note, the company owners and office staff were very personable and pleasant to work with. The crew leader responded to our concerns and tried to rectify the mistakes made by the crew. But given all the mistakes we had to deal with -- and still live with -- I can only give this company a grade of C.

All employees were courteous and punctual, work was done properly and on-time.

Overall, the experience went well. We set an appointment about a week out from my phone call. The estimator arrived on schedule and we walked the house. I told him what I was looking to have done. He went to his vehicle and I would say within 45 minutes of the walk-through he had a written and detailed estimate of the cost. I thought they were very professional.

Eh. I was really not impressed and regretted my choice a little. My neighbor used them and had the A-team. Her house looks awesome. Even the painters who came to my house couldn't believe their company did it. My house - not so much. The owner promised to fix the caulking and then claimed it wasn't needed. The edges were sloppy. The owner pointed out repeatedly that I was paying for medium quality work. Yeah... difference of opinion as to what is medium. I didn't want museum quality but there are jagged edges around the window and paint dripped on the house. They over-promised what they could do on the shutters. I could get that for a lot cheaper. I had to get some other contractors to come out and fix what they should have fixed on the caulking. They did honor their repair commitment for flaking paint but claimed it was the weather. Yeah, maybe so, but I paid - medium prices, apparently - for a paint job and it came with a couple of years of touch-ups and I wanted my touch ups. The painters themselves were very nice guys which was important because I have small children around and I didn't want foul language or anything. But next time I would go with a cheaper company if I wanted this quality of work. They are not highly responsive to phone calls. And, check my reports, I am not a chronic complainer.

They were very responsive: came out quickly to provide the quote, gave us a professional estimate, called within a week of our confirming the job to tell us when they were coming. They came on time. All the workers were professional, pleasant quick and quiet. They scraped and painted my window boxes just to be nice. Their cleanup was amazing. They also pointed out some other problems that we need to fix. They finished in 2 days. I couldn't be more pleased.

It only took one call to arrange for an estimator to come. He arrived when he said he would and gave a very detailed, machine printed contract proposal. The price was slightly higher than one other company and a bit lower than another. We bargained over start time, about six weeks wait due to their backlog, but Curb Appeal agreed to write a firm date in the contract for when the job would be finished. I chose them because of Angie's List, they gave a guarantee on when the job would be done, the contract also had no payment due until the job was completed to my satisfaction and they promised that once they start a job they don't start another until the first one is finished. They were totally professional, courteous, and cleaned up everything each day.

After I told them what I wanted they did a good job, but I had to watch over them to make sure the work was completed to my satisfaction.

It was basically fine and we had no issues. They were professional and polite. They gave us an estimate, which was right on and I thought the price was reasonable. They cleaned up when they finished.

We had a great experience. Blair the owner was very informative during the estimate process, and gave a very reasonable quote. When I called back with a specific question regarding the paint job around the window trim, he made another trip out just to see in person what I was talking about -that showed that he really cared about details and about his customers. The crew was fantastic. They showed up early, courteously waited in their cars until a decent hour to start work. They were fast, efficient, quiet, and respectful. Kevin, the foreman, is an extremely hard worker. He was the first one to arrive and the last to leave. He worked straight through the day, I never saw him idle. He was a good leader of the crew, and knew exactly what to do to get the job done well, and in a timely manner. He was open to all questions, and answered them kindly was very informative. He seems very knowledgeable and experienced in this profession. The crew, too, was great. They all worked hard, and were very respectful of my house. They even brought up my newspaper and fliers from the driveway to my door. The paint job was impeccable. I saw some very minor imperfections, and they corrected it right away to my satisfaction. It was a big job, and they didn't cut corners, or become sloppy. I'm 100% satisfied with the end result. They cleaned up after themselves very well too.

Excellent experience. Blair responded promptly to our request for a quote and the crew began and completed the job on schedule, as promised. I was especially impressed with the crew leader, Jerome. Once the job was basically complete, he walked the fence with me. I saw areas that had uneven stain coverage. He recognized the problem and reworked those areas himself. Even when I thought he was done, at the end of the day, he appeared the next day to finish some other areas where he must have seen a problem. Also, we have extensive plantings near the fence and Curb Appeal took great care to protect our plants from stain splashes and from being crushed while they worked. Great job.

They were prompt and cleaned up well. I had an estimate from one other highly recommended (Angie's List) company. Their estimate for outside painting was almost exactly the same, but their estimate for painting inside storm windows was twice as much. Curb Appeal Painting has a carpenter on call, and he came after the painting was done. He did a number of exterior repairs for us for a total cost of $595, and his work was well worth the price.

I had used them before. Dale, the owner, was efficient and prompt. When there was a problem with the paint color, I was pleased with the way they resolved the issue. They even brought the manager of the paint store to my house to take a look at it.
