They charged us the maximum amount our insurance would pay for water damage(on top of our deductible), basically just to destroy our rec room. We had carpet down there that we glued to the floor. They tore it up and left all the rubbery material behind. They started scraping it up, but just left mostly all of it. They destroyed some walls and didn't repair them. They underwent some changes of management and employment throughout the process. The last guy I talked to, who was the new man that took over the billing, was actually nice. They said that we still owed them some money, and he sent us a letter advising that he didn't feel right charging us that amount. Even still, I can't recommend them to anyone because of the nightmare they caused at the time.

I got the name and contact info for Drypatrol from Angie's List.  They failed to reconnect dishwasher properly, causing another leak after they dried it out the first time.  We then paid an appliance repair company to come out and connect it properly.  Drypatrol did allow me to deduct the $80 we paid to the appliance repair company from the bill due them.  The whole ordeal was a hassle and would not recommend this company nor do we plan to use them again. 

They arrived promptly after my call at midnight and immediately went into damage assessment and control. They worked efficiently and effectively. Within 24 hours, the majority of the moisture was gone. The stubborn spots took a few days longer and the Dry Patrol staff checked the moisture daily throughout the normal Mon-Fri workweek. They arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled time and gave me a call if they were going to be late. They worked with the original installers of the carpet pad to make sure we got the correct vapor barrier padding reinstalled. The installation and carpet cleaning went without a hitch. They worked directly with my insurance company to arrive at an acceptable estimate and schedule of costs. We had a couple of scheduling mix-ups but nothing of consequence. In the end, they worked to meet my needs and my schedule. In the end, the overall price was acceptable when you consider that they handled all the coordination with the carpet installer who had to research and purchase the padding.
All of the specialists and office staff were professional, competent, and knowledgeable. When I had questions, I got answers quickly.
The entire event took four weeks. It would have take less time if my schedule was a bit more flexible and the carpet pad installer had not inadvertently dropped us off the schedule the first time. In the end, the delays were of only minor consequence.
I would certainly use them again but hope I don't have to.

We liked them. They did a good job and we would recommend them. They were very reasonable and cheaper than a lot of the other estimates we received. They were on time and called before they came over. They told us when they would be over and they were here at the appointed time. They finished the job on time and on budget. Any time we called them, they came over. We didn't have any issues whatsoever.

City sewer backed up into our basement bathroom, furnace room, and family room. Dry Patrol responded within an hour provided a written estimate and started work immediately, getting the awful smell out of our home that day. They finished the work as agreed in 4 days, arriving each day on the time arranged. They completed the work to our satisfaction for less than the original esimate.
