Rain One Irrigation & Drainage Systems

Rain One installed our irrigation system and it has operated flawlessly. They maintain the system twice a year and, every year, their service technicians are prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and polite.

They were prompt and they finished the job on time.

It went fine. They are a little bit expensive. I would hire them again.

They are very professional and are always careful when they come in the house to go down to the basement to turn on and shut down the system, making sure they don't track dirt in. They seem very knowledgeable. Rhonda, in the office, has always been very helpful and professional. The cost listed is for the whole year's service. They do have an extra charge for each zone of your yard that they have to look at, so pricing will vary.

I've had no problems, whosoever with them. I like the idea that I have a contract with them, whereby I have already paid in advance for the opening and closing of my system & that I'll get at least one service call within the year. They are efficent and do what they say they are going to do. I've used other companies and this is the best one that I've had.

There are no don'ts . They did everything they promised & within a couple of hours.

It went wonderfully. They came and gave us a fair estimate. They told us outright that they were a little pricier than other companies, but the overall service and quality was well worth the price. In that we had gotten a quote for double their price, their price was A-OK! They did great work without completely destroying our yard. They then came back to go through the system with us since we were not at home when they initially installed it. They also offered free start up the following season.

Good. They really fit me into there busy schedule to take care of an emergency.

They very reliable and show up on time. If they find something wrong they well explain what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix it. They don't try to sell me something I don't need.

This company did adequate work on the system. They flushed out the system and did what was necessary. They were on time and got the work done at a reasonable price.

Everyone who has come to our house from Rain One has been friendly and respectful. The work was done quickly and efficiency. Will see them back next Spring!

The city required that I have backflow prevention tested on my irrigation system. I had not run it during the year because it was broken and would not turn on. Two employees worked on the system to check it. They had to disconnect wires from the current control box and connect them to their portable control box in order to get the system to work for the inspection. They then submitted the report. The spent a lot of time working on the system to check it.

Overall, things went great. The salesman we worked with, Jeff Schmidt, provided consultation and helped us design an irrigation system for our lawn, with separate zones for our landscaping. This way, flowers, shrubbery, and so forth could be watered independently of the lawn as each has different watering needs. Because we were in a new house, with new sod, we had to wait three months before Rain One could install the irrigation system. This is so the new sod could begin to establish roots, and not roll up when the irrigation supply lines were buried. This was not a shortcoming of Rain One, it is just a common industry practice since new sod is severely disturbed by their trenching equipment. Once the three months had elapsed, Rain One was timely in setting up an installation date. They completed the system installation in two days. The job was done very neatly. Since the installation, Rain One has been very responsive to other needs such as winterizing of the system.

The workers take the time to explain what they're going to do and what they've done. They make suggestions on how much water you need to provide for the health of your lawn. They are very professional, honest and patient.

They were very friendly when they were here working for me. They were on time to do the work for me. They were very professional about the job when they were here.

When the service tech discovered the leak in our backflow pipe, he recommended that we replace it with copper since the existing one was plastic. When I asked him how much this would cost, he told me around $100. I told him to go ahead and replace/fix it. He said he'd try to make it back that night (this was on Tuesday). He didn't return that day so I waited till Friday but still hadn't heard anything. I was wondering what was going on so I called to find out when he was coming back and was told he was coming back the following Monday. He came on Monday while I was at work and was done by the time I got home. When I received the bill later that week, the total for the repair was $233- one and a half times the cost he told me it would be. I called to find out why it was so much more (and to refuse to pay it) and was told that he had found an additional leak when he started the repair. At that point, I would have expected a phone call informing me of the additional leak and an estimate for the additional work, which of course he didn't do. I would not have authorized the repair- I would have wanted to get additional estimates for that high of a price. I told the company representative that I would only pay the $100 that I was quoted. They did amend my bill, but I am still not happy with my overall experience with this company- from the communication to the cost. There are enough other irrigation companies out there that I don't see any reason to continue with this one. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Rain one came out to turn off my irrigation system before winter. I also had them do the aeration after the system was shut off. They showed up as scheduled and did a great job.

Great. They arrived in the window of time they quoted. Andrew did a great job and spent time showing me the way to properly operate the system. They did what they said they were going to do, and with just one day notice. I plan to have them return to winterize the system, and change heads in the early spring. Thank you!

The service person did not realize I had been added to his schedule and was late. It shortened the time he had available for me and I think we did not check the system thoroughly. Two of the heads that were supposed to rotate did not rotate. I have not contacted the company I simply wish he had done a more thorough job. I have used other companies and they would not have left this problem unattended to. They were very nice, they had a cancellation and gave me an appointment within a week of my phone call, so they were helpful in working with me.
