Could not have gone better or smoother. The guys knew what they needed to do from their boss, who is a pro. They were there to work, to get the job done and done right with a smile on their faces. I will ONLY USE THIS COMPANY FOR MOVING & HAULING FROM NOW ON.And I will recommend this company to all of my friends.

The move was flawless. Who could predict that we would have a major snow storm in October? I contatcted Jimmy the day before the move because I was concerned about this, in bad weather. He was already one step ahead of me, and asked if instead of starting my move at 1pm, he asked if he could do the move at 7:30am instead? I welcomed this with open arms. His 2 men, Chris and Ernesto arrived a few minutes early, and tirelessly, and effortlessly had me moved out, and into my new location half an hour or so away before the first flakes stuck to the ground. I was more then pleased to have had this done so that it was convenient for me. Thank you sooooo much!!!!

Jimmy and his crew were fantastic. By far the best moving experience I have ever had. From the estimate to the end of the move...they were professional and extremely helpful. They were on time ( even EARLY actually) and took wonderful care of our things. Not one thing was damaged in the move. He was even able get me recycled boxes several weeks in advance at no additonal charge. We had more boxes than expected and Jimmy was a man of his word for the price he had quoted me. His team worked extremely hard, even when a freak October snowstorm came rolling into the area. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is moving,

Superlative service; I highly recommend Jimmy and his company! They were very professional, efficient and pleasant to work with. Jimmy was extremely responsive and gave me an estimate within 24 hours of contacting him. On the day of the move and haul out, Jimmy and his crew arrived on time, were wonderful to work with and completed the work quickly. They started at 8 AM; and by 12:30 PM, both jobs were completed. I was very pleased with the whole experience and will definitely call on him in the future. Give him a call, you won't be disappointed.

Price was excellent, employees proficient and polite. No problems in the move. Some confusion as to calling the night before to get clothing bags, but problem solved. Definitely would recommend.

Responsiveness was great. I called about 4 days before I needed to move my Mother, who is downsizing. I had an estimate within an hour or so and was able to secure the date I wanted. I had some old mattress to haul away and quite a bit of china to pack. Three guys came with one guy packing the china for most of the loading time (2 1/2 hours). They all unloaded in about 1 1/2 hours. Everything went very smoothly, and when we realized that there was more we wanted hauled away, we got a quote on the spot and added that to our bill. Otherwise the estimate was exactly what we paid! No hassles as all. Very pleased. I haven't unpacked the china yet, but hope and trust that all is in good order.

Our move was an absolutely painless process from the beginning. I called several different movers, and Jimmy was the only one who called me back; which turned out to be a lucky thing for me. I was able to schedule the move with just a couple of days notice, which was a tremendous help. Jimmy called the day before the move to confirm the time. Jimmy and his men were on-time and very professional. There were no issues with the move, and I would definitely use A Man With a Van & More for future moves.

This is a great moving company! I contacted them about two weeks before my move and got prompt and professional responses to all my questions/concerns. The house we were moving from had a VERY narrow and twisty staircase from the 3rd to the second floor and the two gentleman who moved us did not seem to even notice. Even when they had to take a king size mattress down this miserable staircase. Very, very professional. They were on time, courteous, and took great care with our belongings. If you are looking for a moving company. Stop looking! Just call Jimmy at Man With a Van and More.

Jimmy is the BEST! No need to research movers. I was running out of time to find a mover and I checked Jimmy's ratings on Angie's List and hired him from the ratings. We were so impressed! His team is on time, super nice and friendly, and were so diligent in their work. The move was tough as we underestimated the amount of boxes we moved but Jimmy was super flexible and adjusted the estimate completely fairly. The move included a week storage and we did not have one piece broken or damaged. The team so super professional and their service was just simply amazing!! Hire them again in a second.

Jimmy was able to fit me in on two days notice, arrived on time, moved quickly, quietly and efficiently, and had the entire move (one room and personal gear) completed in less than two hours. Price was a bit high, but given the miles traveled and the short notice, I can't complaint. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I contacted Jimmy after reviewing the company on Angie's List. He was extremely responsive, and we quickly arrived at an estimate and scheduled move date. Unfortunately, the agreed date of the move was also the day that Hurricane Irene hit the area. Jimmy was very responsive in determining whether the move could occur that day, and after it had to be cancelled, he worked closely with me to reschedule within two days. The move was very difficult due to closed roads and construction in the area where my old office was. Jimmy and his crew were extremely resourceful and professional in figuring out how to safely move my heavy furniture, even without the use of the (broken) freight elevator in my old building. Overall, they did an EXCELLENT job and came in within the boundaries of our agreed estimate, despite the difficulties. I highly recommend this company to any individual or company that needs to move in this area!

I spoke with Jimmy about a planned move. I described the nightmare of a previous move, and he not only empathized, but provided me with contact information to file an official complaint with the appropriate bureau and offered his assistance. Following that, his estimate was quickly sent, and more than reasonable, and his level of expertise and pride in his work instilled a great deal of confidence that he could take on our move with skill, care, and efficiency. The only reason we will not be using his company is that we will be able to take advantage of an employee benefit allowing us access to deeply discounted moving services. If not for that, we would not hesitate to hire him.

I contacted the company to get a quote. Jimmy called back very quickly, and asked me to fill out a form online. The quote was fine, but then he hounded me for the next day to make a decision. I decided to go in another direction, and was kind enough to email him to let him know. He then replied saying he booked something anyway for that date since he knew I was going to "stick him". All I can say, is that I am glad I went in another direction. The guy seems pretty shady.

I contacted Jimmy based on a add in Angie's List magazine. I spoke to someone and left my contact information and Jimmy was quick to respond. I was hoping to do that day, but missed the window of opportunity as his guys had already finished for the day. We agreed on Friday but didn't set a time. Jimmy called on Friday morning and said his guys would be at the house in 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the pick up location was not where we lived so we had to scramble to meet them as we lived about 15 minutes away. That was the only part of the transaction that wasn't completely satisfactory. They were there when my husband arrived waiting for him. The team was very careful with the marble bench that had to be carried the full length of the yard. It was extremely heavy. When they arrived at our house, they helped position and adjust it until it was in the right spot, then they carried the snow blower the length of our yard to the garage in the back. They were extremely careful and courteous. We were very pleased. We will use them again.

Jimmy and his team did a good professional job. I was happy with the overall work completed. They were responsive to my initial inquiry about the move and again later when I contacted them with a more complete list of the property to be moved. I thought the cost was reasonable for the amount of work to be done. In addition to large furniture pieces, there were many books. Jimmy was accommodating to get me on his schedule at the last minute. Due to a family event he knew I would have trouble getting everything packed prior to the scheduled date I still had the kitchen and one room to pack when the van arrived. He had several crew members finish packing those rooms. There were some scuff marks to the fresh paint in both houses and a few dings to a couple of tables. Payment was very easy, Jimmy told me I could pay by cheque or cash and he happily accepted my cheque at the end of the day. The entire job took no more than 6-7 hours due to the number of men he had on his crew. I would reach out to Jimmy again if (when) I move again, it was a job well done and his crew is very pleasant and easy to work with.

After some changes and adjustments, my friend who completed the move at his house was very happy. He thought the workers were very careful and responsible. Excellent job. He would highly recommend this company.

I orginally set up an appointment for free estimate only. At that appointment they said they could do it now. The price was good, so I agreed. Glad I did. Professional, good follow up. Never felt they were pulling anything over on me. Answered my questions and made sure we both understood what was to go and what was to stay. Great hard working crew. Knew exactly what to do and just did it with little or no guidance. Sorted and piled things up on driveway and lawn. No damage or pieces left from those piles. When they left there was no trace they or the piles were ever there, just a nice cleaned out garage. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Over the years I have had experience hiring various movers in different parts of the country. I have never had such a great experience. The price was fair (and competitive as I received three estimates) and the workers were timely and courteous. The owner (who remained personally involved throughout the day) went above the call of duty from providing me with moving blankets and clean used boxes (free of charge), to making sure that all items were placed correctly and undamaged at their destination. It's rare to find a business so dedicated to making its customers happy. And, from past moves, I feel its unheard of in the moving industry where past bad experiences taught me to read the fine print and to expect the worst. The owner's dedication and professionalism are unmatched. Truly an experience almost too good to be true!

I had scheduled the company to do my move after reading their reviews on Angie's list and speaking with other companies. Due to changing circumstances I had to unexpectedly move 2 weeks early and called Jimmy on Saturday morning around 10am. I never thought that I would get a mover at the last minute on a Saturday. Fortunately Jimmy picked his phone right up and said he would be able to get 6 guys over to my place in a few hours after they finished their current job. Jimmy called me about 2 hours before they arrived (they got to my house at 2:30) so we could be prepared and when his team arrived they went right to work. Even though he was going to originally use 4 guys for my move, he had the 6 guys available and sent them so they could get the job done faster. They took meticulous care with our furniture and antiques and did not scratch a wall or damage a single piece of furniture. Everything was wrapped in plastic for extra protection. This is particularly amazing because there are so many stairs and tight turns in my home. Even more surprising was that they got the whole move done in just a few hours. Jimmy's men worked hard and were a real pleasure. I still have to move in a few weeks and will be using them again and recommending them to anyone who needs a mover.

It was a really mixed experience for me. The workers that performed the actual move were great - they worked hard and fast, were careful, and very professional. The problem with the move was entirely in dealing with the owner. I hired A Man with a Van after shopping around a bit and reading reviews that said that he was worth the extra cost (he came in a little over other quotes i had gotten) Plus, he agreed to throw in free boxes (but failed to mention that i would have to drive 60 miles to pick them up) I was looking for someone to move me, but also to pack my kitchen up. Jimmy told me that the best way to do this would be to have his guys come a day early to pack the kitchen, and then come the next day to do the actual moving. He assured me that this was the "only way to do it" and that anyone who told me that they could do it all in one day was not to be trusted. So, the night before he was supposed to come pack the kitchen Jimmy called to tell me that he wasn't going to come the next day and would instead do it all in one day (the very thing he had warned me against). He claimed that this was because he was tired from a move the previous day, and that there was going to be too much traffic. Neither excuse seemed that good to me, especially since i had already taken the day off from work to meet the movers. The morning of the actual move, Jimmy called again, this time to tell me that he had gotten stuck somewhere near my apartment, but couldn't figure out how to get to my apartment. (This was because of road construction) I tried to give him simple directions around the detour, but he demanded that I get in my car and come find him so that he could follow me back to my apartment. He sounded exasperated, as though i was wasting his time by trying to give directions. The move went ok from there - but it was certainly much more hectic than it would have been had they packed the day before. When the time came for payment Jimmy tried to collect all in cash, claiming that he had "definitely told me" that he didn't take checks or credit cards. I'm sure i would have remembered hearing that i had to come up with that much cash. So in sum, i would say that the actual move was fine, but i would not recommend the company, It was not worth dealing with the owner.

Jimmy was responsive, polite, and completely honest. I had a few more boxes than I expected and there were no complaints or extra fees. Jimmy and his men had my wife and I moved in to our new home in a matter of hours! In this day of so many fly by night vendors, it is always worth the extra money to hire professionals like Jimmy and his crew. Great service, reasonable price!

Excellent service and reasonably priced. The men were very professional and accomodating. Items were delivered safely with no damage. They even made an extra stop a few blocks away at no charge.

Jimmy responded to our request for quote very quickly and with a reasonable price. Date & Time was scheduled and insurance put in place quickly. They arrived on schedule for the move, and packed everything quickly and securely. The same for unloading. Jimmy and his crew are professional who take great care and pride in their work. Highly recommended.

Jimmy was quick to return my call, we made an appointment for later that day, he came as scheduled, moved the sofas, over all great experience.

Everything went well. The manager answered the phone on Sunday, and we moved out on Wednesday.
