Description of Work: I believe the cost of running a business is overwhelming and contributes to inflated prices for routine plumbing repairs. That said I contacted this company and explained to the office person that I had a Lady Lux, Grohe faucet and it need a new water cartridge. I asked if they had this part and I was assured yes. When I inquired as to how much it would be I was told they send a tech to your home and he advises you of your options at a cost of $49.00. So I agreed and the tech new (title for plumber) came to my home on time. I would also like to say I respect the knowledge and ability of all trades people.. I was told by the aka plumber that the cost to replace the cartridge was $ 569.00 . That exceeds the cost of an entire new faucet. Then I was advised that they do not carry Grohe and that he could contact the warehouse and the could attempt to locate the needed cartridge.. The tech advised me that if I obtained a replacement from Grohe he could install that cartridge for $233.00. The other option was a new Kohler faucet for 598.00. If I had called and not been clear with what service I needed and told this company does not stock Grohe I would have not agreed to hire them with the diagnostic charge of 49.00. I feel I was baited and attempted to be defrauded over a kitchen faucet. Routine repairs should simply be a simple charge. That said I even had a new cartridge from a previous Lady Lux and was not sure if it fit and the tech looked at it and put it down. I felt like that new commercial on TV where the dentist is looking in the guys mouth and says yep you got a bad cavity and the patient says aren't you going to fix it. The dentist says I am not a dentist I am only an adviser (tech). You have to laugh maybe in the back of the Sal Manzo truck a little old man with screw driver is waiting so if you need a tech call Sal if you need a plumber call a plumber. My suggestion go to amazon order the part for 39.65 check the box for installation and they have contracted to local plumbers to install and for a fair price of 133.95. I was told by the tech that part was 200.00 dollars by the way. This is not a company to call for routine plumbing problems. I took out my old screw driver and my allen key and installed the thing myself it took 20 minutes. Additionally I contacted Grohe and they are sending me a replacement cartridge despite my inability to provide a sales receipt they were horrified that a plumber, tech company would even attempted to charge so much for an easy repair lol.

Description of Work: Needed emergency service on a Sunday. They called back ASAP and showed up within an hour or so. Work was excellent as the technician had to locate the blockage which was not so simple. He corrected it and cleaned up afterwards. Would highly recommend. |

Description of Work: Replaced shower handles, cartridges and spout. All work was done with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. Technician cleaned up work area when finished and fully explained what work was done. Highly recommended.

Description of Work: We discoveres a leak in this jet tub shower unit in our home. Mind you, we had moved in 3 days prior. This is an odd unit, looks like a space ship. Anyway, we called Satueday and Sal came our 1st thing Monday. It would only leak when turned on so an emergency visit wasn't required. He was very honest with us and advises he doesn't woel on these types of units, they are made from some country overseas. He said ww would hve a hard time finding someone who would service it. (yes, we contacted the company, they only sell them, they DO NOT install or service them... I still shake my head!). He was great though in giving us numerous suggestions on how we could at least determine what part of this unit that does 10 different things was the cause. (We did use his advice and determined the cause of the leak). | |He did update our piping under our sinks as recommended in our inspection. He installed new PVC piping, strung up the hose to the underneath of the sink, and even attached a vanity to the wall! He was also very honest and told us one of the sinks was absolutely and we did not need to spend the extra money on replacing the pipes.

Description of Work: Sent apprentice to perform work, he didn't seem to really know what he was doing. Seemed to have been a simple fix but he struggled with it. Seemed expensive for what was done.

Description of Work: I had a frozen heating pipe. They told me the price up front $488.00/hour and would fix up to 4 leaks. They were here 1 1/2 hours and found 1 leak. Very neat and professional. I just wish I was a plumber and not in the medical profession I don't make this amount of money per hour. I just hope they were not taking advantage of all the cold weather damage here in the Northeast. They did a good job but very pricey

Description of Work: I used Sal Manzo Plumbing and Heating in Wantagh, N. Y. 11793, for my plumbing job in October, 2014, and was pleased with the response and services. Mike responded as promised, was on time and had the toilet I needed as promised. Upon my visual confirmation of other problems he identified, he was able to canvass suppliers and secure replacement items.

Description of Work: Stay away from these guys they're way way overpriced. Learn from me, get a second or third estimate before spending a dime. I learned too late from another local plumber that I should have spent no more than $250 on the work I had done by Sal Manzo Plumbing and Heating. Unfortunately, I spent $630.

Description of Work: I hired Sal Manzo plumbing to cap some exterior gas lines that are no longer needed. Mike came out to do this work, and it was accomplished quickly and to my satisfaction. Mike also provided a quote for installing a pressure regulating valve on our cold water line, which seemed high (~$569). We did not have this work done.

Description of Work: Unclogged a toilet in the kids bathroom. I tried myself for hours and it took them 5 minutes.

Description of Work: OUR OIL BURNER BROKE DURING A VERY COLD WEEK. SAL CAME AND INSTALLED A NEW ONE. OUR OLD ONE WAS 30 YEARS OLD.
