Description of Work: They reconfigured the leaking plumbing under the kitchen sick, installed a new kitchen faucet, replaced two drain plug flaps in both of our bathtubs and advised us on other concerns we had with our plumbing. Very professional and will call them again if we ever need anything.

My husband had done most of the work on the dishwasher, so the plumber spent only a few minutes hooking it the rest of the way. Unfortunately, he never tested it, so the first time we ran the dishwasher, we discovered a leak, not it the plumbing the man did, but in a different part. He also installed the faucet. He was at our house about an hour and fiften minutes, and handed us a huge bill which our coupon deal did little to offset. We were shocked! D'Angelos charges by the job, not the time. Next time we'll go with a smaller business who charges by the hour!

Description of Work: Hooked up a new dishwasher as part of a whole kitchen remodel. Put in all new pipes, and a new water hookup for the dishwasher, since my kitchen never had one before. Also hooked up a new sink and faucet. Plus installed the dishwaher, including securing it to the cupboards.

Description of Work: We have a very expensive brass bathroom faucet made by an out of business manufacturer. It was here when we bought the house. It developed a slow leak at the stem. D'Angelo's correctly determined that a standard Delta part would do. They were the only one to correctly solve the problem. Others wanted to 'custom rebuild the stem' or replace the four matching faucets. |We had a second problem with a mysterious plumbing noise. And were charged $68 for diagnostics. The fix (tying down a pipe) did not work. We were charged $168 for the faucet repair and were told that was the standard cost for an uncomplicated faucet repair, cost of parts included. I find this very high! We used an Angie's List coupon for $200 to partially pay for the cost. There were other plumbing issues, but after hearing the cost of what was done, we decided to have this work done elsewhere. Having used Angie's List coupons before, we was very satisfied previously. This time I had the impression that with money already committed for use at D'Angelo's they were going to make me spend it all. I have other unproven thoughts about this pricing issue, but I can't substantiate them.

Description of Work: I requested repair/replacement of the bathtub drain in the 2nd floor bath. The serviceman received the $650 estimate from the office by phone. When I requested an itemized estimate, the office was not able/willing to provide one. When I told him I couldn't approve the work based on that top level estimate, we spent some time trying to free up the drain from the bathtub without success. After he departed, I was able to get the drain to close and fill the tub...but only with some difficulty. My belief is that added attention to freeing the drain plug could be successful. We so seldom fill the tub, the $650 expense was not justified. |

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal through them for $111 for $200 of Plumbing Services; they charged an additional $275 for the work. They removed the toilet and replaced the flange to the toilet; it wasn’t connected to the floor anymore.

Description of Work: We had to snake our main pipe that runs to the street. Our basement had a lot of water coming through from main floor bath. The toilet was overflowing. We had a major clog. Matt came out, was great, quick and in and out. I was able to buy an Angie's list deal and use it toward the service.
