Quickly identified the problem: backup in sewage system. Didn't have a snake, but got one within 1/2 hour as promised. Cleared pipe line and water receded right away. I thought they were a little pricey, but were professional and did the job outdoors in blowing snow. They did give me a 10% (Angie) discount. I was satisfied with the service provided and would use them again. This was my first time using Angie's List and it worked out very well for us.

Chad was our contractor who did an outstanding job. He worked in our kitchen for 10 days (2 weeks). There was a 3 day wait for the counter to be installed (which was actually a week from the time they scribed the counter.) They also had the kitchen sink attached under the counter top and a plumber came and put in the faucet, garbage disposal and connected the drain that same day. There was a delay in getting the backsplash completed but it was done by the end of the 4th week.. We chose to do our own painting. We did have some adjustments that D'Angelos were very quick to address and to our satisfaction. I love my new kitchen. I highly recommend D'Angelos. Bonnie is their designer and she worked closely with me to get everything I wanted with great design features that she recommended. We had a couple of minor glitches in that the 1st counter top we picked out wasn't available but I like the one I ended up with even better. We had a little trouble getting the accent tiles to our backsplash but Bonnie worked hard to give me great alternatives. The one thing that I wanted was an itemized bill which would show how much everything cost (i.e. the countertop) but they do just the full price. They were very cooperative with extras that we asked them to do. This was our first time using a contractor and I chose D'Angelos because I knew they were a trustworthy company that did quality work. I remembered an ad on TV they ran a few years ago where the couple said they wished they had more remodeling to give D'Angelos. I wanted a reliable company. It was a far bigger project than I expected. It isn't like TV where crews of people show up to make a new kitchen in three days. I am very satisfied with the overall project and the eager to please attitude of the people at D'Angelos.

In early August I returned from being out of town to find that a valve on my water softener had cracked/broken. Everything in my basement was sitting in two feet of water. Because of the electrical appliances, the fire department was called to shut off the water. After the water drained, a cleaning company came in to empty the contents and dry the basement. This consisted of heaters and huge fans.While all this was going on, Mike from D'Angelos was diligently working away at getting my furnace and air conditioner repaired and my water heater replaced. He worked for a couple of days in high heat and loud noise but still had a cheerful demeanor.

I was extremely pleased. In addition to the furnace cleaning, Josh took the time to diagnose, find and fix the source of an intermittent noise that occurred when the fan blower started up. I will definitely use D'Angelos again. Great job, with very good scheduling and communication.

Except for the coupon issue, it went well.

The gentlemen was very nice. He introduced himself showed up earlier then expected but that ended up working out for me. When he completed his services he went over their promotion that was going on at that time. You make I think 4 payments of $200 and then as long as you have your house they will come and service the a/c and heater. they will also remind you every year to make an appointment.

The techniciall basically did what my husband does with the plunger. not sure how long this will lhelp. he was there and the charge was $150 minus the $25 angies list coupon. He could not explain how the charges were determined( said they were determined by the office)

The installer came within the window of time I was given. He was very friendly, the installation was shorter than I expected, however, the heater didn't work after the time it should have. Turned out it had burned out element. I called and this company was amazing. They went above and beyond to fix the problem and make me happy.

We clearly don't know anything about our garbage disposal. But the tech who showed up ran me though how to fix the entirely-solvable problem we were having when we encounter it again.

The person who did the work arrived on time and had no problems with either of the first two repairs. When it came time to the third item, after looking at the valve, he said it probably didn't need to be replaced. Instead he tightened it and said to check if that stopped the drip. It did, saving me an additional repair fee, and the hassle of dealing with the main water being turned off by the water authority for a half a day. Needless to say I was very pleased with that result!

They were timely, professional, and courteous. I probably would use them again.

I have used D'Angelo's Plumbing & Heating in the past. I found that they were more expensive than some of the other companies. At the time I used their service I liked that they were family owned, they were a caring company, and they were close by.

Our 5-year-old water heater suddenly went out and spilled gallons of hot water all over our basement. Our house is new and we'd never had a reason to call a plumber, but we needed one fast. I checked AL and based on the proximity and good reviews (and that they were open on Saturday), we called D'Angelos. In an hour, we had a technician standing in our basement, calling the water heater manufacturer to confirm that the heater was under warranty. In two hours, we not only had a brand new hot water heater installed, but also had some installation errors on the old hot water heater fixed, a drip pan installed and a water alarm installed, which would have alerted us to an issue before it got quite so out of hand.

I thought they were good people; I am comfortable with them. My impression of them is that they are trustworthy. It’s possible that I will use them.

I called D'Angelo's based on positive reviews on your site. They were extremely friendly and curtious on the initial call. I had an appointment scheduled for the next day. They arrived on time, opened the ceiling, confirmed the drain leak and completed the work in less than 2 hours. In addition the cost was very reasonable and significantly less expensive than previously estimated by another company. I will definately call them in the future if I have any plumbing needs.

Since our hot water tank died unexpectedly, we needed a replacement asap. My husband called D'Angelos and they came out the same day. They had a problem because we needed a custom size to fit into a tight space. They went back to their shop and returned with a different heater , again on the same day. The servicemen were very courteous and professional. So far, so good on the hot water tank itself. The price wasn't cheap, but we thought it was fair. I have absolutely no complaints, and would recommend D'Angelos highly.

Our water heater failed late Friday evening, causing a flood in the basement. I couldn't wait until Monday to have it replaced, because the shutoff on the old heater didn't work properly, meaning I would have had to shut off the water to the entire house for the weekend. I called a couple of companies, including the one that had installed the current heater. They said that I would pay a premium of around $300 for weekend service. I called D'Angelo because of their reviews on Angie's List. The technician, Ken, gave me a price, which was not as much of a premium as I feared, and said he could come out at 9:00 Saturday a.m. He called at 8:50 am to tell me he was running 30 minutes late, which I appreciated, as late arrival with no notice is one of my pet peeves. He arrived at 9:10 am. When he started, he told me that my vent pipe was pitched wrong, and he would have to replace it to meet code. As it turned out, the new heater was just enough shorter that the pitch was ok, and he was able to avoid having to do that additional work. He installed a new shutoff valve, and only charged me for the part. He finished by 11:00 am, cleaned up, took the old heater away, and the price was exactly what he had promised. Can't ask for much better than that. One surprise, I mentioned D'Angelo's excellent ratings on Angie's List, and he was totally surprised. Said the owner had no idea he was even "on" Angie's List. I suggested that he get the owner to check his evaluations, because a lot of people use Angie's List when selecting a contractor!

They were very professional and they did a good job as far as installing it. Everything looked well done. The one thing that bothered me was that it was a bit of a crisis situation – my old water heater burst – and I called them and they replaced it. At that time they encouraged me to get the value-added flood detection system and different types of valves. In retrospect I wonder if I really needed them and I’m a bit bothered that they pushed them on me, given the situation and the fact I didn’t have time to think about it. They seemed like they were taking advantage of the situation. They had good workmanship but the way they handled themselves did bother me. They were also trying to hire themselves to do my furnace. “We do furnaces also and you want to make sure this expensive furnace doesn’t get broken. You can call us and we can clean your furnace.” For what they gave me, I would say the price was spot-on with the competition. The only time I would use them again would be to service that hot water heater; I would use them because they know it. I would use them if necessary but I would rather use someone else.

He did a good job. He did quickly and efficiently. He was good to work with.

The sump pump has worked well. However, the piping they installed has had several problems. The joint is weak and we need to prop in up. Cleaning the furnace has always gone well.

They provide me with lifetime free service for the furnace. Their service was great. They came in and did what they needed to do and told me what I also was to do. I would use them again in the future.

When making the initial call, I was told that they would send someone within the 1/2 hour and I told the gentleman on the phone that it wasn't an emergency. He said that it was fine - he would get the truck loaded and that they would be out. First impressions can be very important - and it was! Josh arrived shortly after and was very professional and polite taking time to explain his recommendations for the updated shut off valves and the benefits of the deluxe water pan package. I wasn't looking to spend any extra but my dad always told me that if you're going to buy something, get the best you can so it lasts, so I went ahead and purchased the deluxe package with the alarm in case of leaks. After the job was complete, Josh asked if we had any questions, taking the time to explain, making sure we had no further questions of him before he was done. We also spoke to him about wanting to add a small powder room in the basement as well as relocate a toilet. Right away he called another D'Angelo's rep., Terry, to come out and give us an estimate. Terry was also very professional and took the time to explain everything and was very detailed with his estimate. He even recommended a carpenter as the main bathroom remodel would require a carpenter. I found that their pricing for the water heater was slightly higher than some (within $20.00) however I wanted to go with a company that had great ratings from Angie's List as well as offered a more rounded service. i.e. plumbing AND heating as opposed to just a plumbing service or heating/cooling service. I am very pleased at the level of service and definitely recommend D'Angelo's for your plumbing and heating needs.
