Service provider came to my home and I was seeking to get my dryer vent cleaned. Upon inspection, he identified that the run was too long and it was incorrectly done. He provided resources to get it fixed and did not charge me for his 1 hour visit despite my insistence to do so. Harold did an awesome job and is an awesome dude. Once i get my stuff fixed, I will have him come clean my vents.

After rescheduling a few times, (which didn't seem to faze the owner, Harold,) he arrived as advertised with his capable assistant Steve and was ready to tackle the job. Keep in mind I had informed him that the job was usually done by me, annually, in January, but this year I had gotten lazy and decided to let a "Pro" handle it. What a perfect opportunity for an unscrupulous business person to agree, "Yes you definitely need my services, and in fact, I'm surprised your house hasn't burned down yet!" Not this gent. Instead, he and his assistant did a most thorough testing and inspection along with recommendations for my future guidance. His prognosis: "Your dryer and vents are fine; you don't need my to do anything, I would only be taking your money for nothing: Call me back in a year. NO charge for today!" Guess what I'll be doing a year from now...... along with touting him to neighbors, friends and relatives . We need more business people like Harold. If you don't employee My Dryer Vent Guy, you are in serious need of professional help!

Harold showed up on time and did a very thorough job cleaning the dryer vent. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided tips on best ways to limit lint accumulation. Price quoted over phone was exactly what was charged. Would definitely hire again.

Where do I start? Purchased my home about a year ago and wanted a routine check-up of a PERFECTLY FUNCTIONAL DRYER and possible cleaning of my vent. Harold showed up an hour early which is unprofessional but acceptable. He then proceeded to begin cleaning the vent outside (Leaving large chunks of lint all over my yard) before telling me the job could not be done without installing a new vent. Without notice or even a goodbye Harold is out of the driveway and onto his next appointment. That night I go to do a load of laundry and coincidentally my dryer no longer functions whatsoever. Thanks Harold, your free of charge service was worth exactly that. Amazing you have such good reviews on here....Good luck with this guy...

[Member Name Removed], thank you for the review and I am sorry I did not meet your expectations. Yes I did arrive early and I am sorry if that was an inconvenience. When you work in the field going from house to house it is very hard to pinpoint an exact arrival time as you never know how long the previous job will take or what traffic you may or may not hit. When I arrived you informed me that your clothes were not drying and thought it might be a vent issue. We then proceeded to the dryer and I started a visual inspection of the vent line. I then went outside and climbed on my ladder and looked into the vent from the outside and pulled out handfuls of large chunks of lint that were accumulated on the end of the vent. At this point I came back in and told you that after pulling out those large chunks I was able to see in the vent and the vent was flexible that was run in between the ceiling and flexible in a wall could not be cleaned as the brushes would rip it. I informed you at that point that the vent was installed with a piece of rigid pipe on each end and flexible buried in the wall so as to deceive a home inspector and he would think you had rigid the whole length. You then brought me throughout your house and showed me all the large holes in your walls and ceilings showing me the new heating ducts you had to have installed because the home inspector didn’t catch a faulty heating system and how it cost you thousands of dollars. You told me the home inspector refunded your money to you but the repairs were on you and that the whole house had so many things wrong with it that the home inspector did not catch them. I informed you at that point that if it was my house I would buy a ventless condensing dryer because of the location of your dryer being tucked into a makeshift closet under stairs. The expense of running a new vent either through the ceiling or as the other gentleman at your house at that time recommended, through a bedroom closet and out the front of your house would be more money than a ventless condensing dryer. I said I could blast some air through the vent to give you some temporary relief until you decide what you wanted to do but it may damage the flexible line and did not recommend it since there were already old condensation marks on the ceiling where the vent was already leaking and we didn’t know how much condensation was still in the line. I said I would email you a copy of the building code to read to help you in your decision and shook your hand and said if you have any questions to give me a call. You then asked me how much you owed me at your front door and I said don’t worry about it as I don’t charge for inspections. I wish I could take a picture of the email you sent me in response to the email I sent you with the building code attached because your exact words were “Thank you. Pleasure meeting you! Will leave good feedback. Again, sorry I did not meet your expectations.Eva V.

The owner---I believe his name is Harold---was outstanding. He spent 20 minutes evaluating the situation, which is a bit unusual, and checked out air flow and determined that nothing had to be done at this time. He even found the Model and Serial numbers on my washer and dryer and refused to take any money for his time since his next customer was nearby. I will definitely recommend and use him when the time is right.

gas dryer, vent = 15-18 feet from first floor, through floor board, across half the basement and out. Harold replaced and properly re-routed, in a now safe design, the entire vent. Harold came to review the job, gave me an estimate, and returned right on time to do the 2.5 hour job.... EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Harold is exceptional. Phone calls returned promptly, very organized, intelligent, and personable. Very service oriented and kindly juggled his schedule to work me in, as I was having slight gas smell on using the dryer. He had to move my dryer and jump over countertop to access rear, which he did with good humor. Educated me on maintenance and vent system. Did fine job on my long-ignored lint build-up. Dryer running so much better, no gas smell. Now he's my dryer guy. Great value and we now feel safe.

Harold was extremely helpful and knowledgeable . He was responsive, arrived promptly, and quickly diagnosed our problem. He confirmed our fear that our dryer vent was improperly ventilating under our enclosed porch. He offered practical solutions, including purchasing a ventless dryer, as we are unable to move our laundry room. And after spending about 45 minutes with me explaining everything, he did not charge a dime. Would highly recommend!

He was unable to access the vent on the outside of the house since it's under a screened-in porch. He immediately knew he could clean out the vent from inside. He was very calm and knowledgeable and obviously "had the tools to do the job." As someone who is not comfortable having strangers in my home, I will definitely hire him again.

The reviews are true - Harold is a honest, knowledgeable gentleman who delivered excellent service at a fair price. I had 17 years of lint build-up in my vent and by the time he was done it was like new again. Don't take a chance on other firms, Harold is the real deal.

Harold performed some tests and determined that our vent/dryer was working fine and it did not need cleaning at this time. His charge for the check-up was very reasonable to say the least! Highly recommend.

Mr. Dryer Vent Guy was very professional and knowledgeable. He cleaned out my dryer vent hose which was filled with 18+ years of lint and replaced some pieces. He explained everything he was doing and gave me good advice about how to maintain everything. I will definitely be calling him again next year!
