Dated 10/16/13 updated - I recently left a glowing review for this service in light of a great move and in being fair the move went by very well however PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE EVER CONSIDERING USING THIS SERVICE PLEASE BE VERY VERY CAREFUL with the owner by the name of Micah Bennett. He should never be trusted with 'fair pricing'. Incident - On Monday 10/14/13 I requested HVCS to simple table pick up and drop off. I sent an email to the owner and Micah made the arrangements with my father to pick up table at his location for this Friday October 18, 2013. - However these arrangements were finalized without pricing information. I called to get pricing yesterday Wednesday 10/16/13 on I was told something very disturbing by Micah, he stated that he did not create a pricing package and he would send it to me via email. - I didn't understand why since the price would have been approximately $20.00 for this service. He stated that the price would be based on the weight of the table over 20lbs + there would be a pick up location charge + drop off location charge + mileage charge from Wappingers Falls to New Paltz. - I asked why there would be mileage since I requested a pick up at a retail location to New Paltz for $20.00 and Micah stated I was absolutely correct however since I haven't called him for services in the a while the price would need to be increased. - In addition he stated I needed to keep in mind all of his prices for me were padded because I used to use him on a regular basis but since that is not the case now he would need to increase his price to justify the run. - Sad state of affairs when greed gets in the way of judgement and customer service. I have been the only regular customer that Micah could rely on for his business. I have spent well over $1500 - $2000 in service fees towards his blossoming business due to regular grocery runs and tips when I could afford it. - I even agreed to use his services for house sitting at $20.00 an hour until he wanted to increase the amount to $30.00 per hour because that cost would be justified if it was a 2 household income. - I have been insulted by this man on several occasions and managed to find a way to smooth things over due to his inexperience and youth in the business arena. However after my successful move I made a decision not to use his service on a regular basis because I didn't need to anymore. - I had no idea that not using his service on a regular basis would or could trigger a greed mentality. Micah does not have an ounce integrity especially if this is how he treats his very first client and client that kept his business afloat. - I would not recommend this service nor this owner to do anything for anyone ever! - He should never be trusted no matter what even if it sounds reasonable! - Micah will always appear to be 'charming' however in the end there will always be catch and questionable tactics even if you choose him to do your groceries he will still find a way to pad the price with higher amount to justify his bill. - He is a horrible in business and I truly believe this will be his ultimate downfall! - I stand by my word and my experience with him with this situation. My move went great! I even gave him a great tip but that still didn't motivate him to continue to treat me a priority client even if I don't need to use his services on a regular basis! - He is not worth the time nor your money to use this errand service ever. You would be better off to set up arrangements on Craigslist or your local newspaper to hire an errand service. - So does my Dad who actually was considering him to do some errands for him personally but that will never be the case and he stated he would never give him any reviews nor referrals with what took place yesterday.
