They came earlier than our appointment time. They packed the stuff that’s required but they went beyond my expectations. They handled items so professionally with a polite and graceful manners! I will definitely use them again!

I had a great experience with Roadway, and especially with Agustin, Christian and Iosif. There was a miscommunication on quantity to be moved, and due to the fee structure of roadway we needed to change the amount billed on the fly. Once we figured that out the actual moving went as well as possibly could be expected. I was very happy with them.

WOW! Moving in NYC is so incredibly difficult. but Roadway made everything about our move so simple and fast. They packed up my apartment, then my new roommate's, and moved us into our new place in three hours! They took extra special care of my fragile items and we're so friendly to have around. I'll absolutely be using Roadway every time that I move!

Roadway Moving did an excellent job! They delivered boxes ahead of time so I could pack. And on moving day they packed all my wardrobe boxes carefully and provided special wrapping for my fragile items like large mirrors, TV, and artwork. The team was super helpful and handled every detail of my move including assembling my bed and media console. They were super friendly as well! I would highly recommend them!

Roadway moving experience was unbelievable. Jose and his man worked at lightning speed to finish the job in time. We were sure by about 4:30pm that we’d have to finish the rest the next business day (because of the elevator cut off at 5pm) but Jose directed his team and we did a full unload in less than 30 minutes! It was incredible. Highly recommend!

Jose and his delivery team at Roadway were phenomenal. Their speed, handiness, and professionalism made for a seamless moving experience. Jose ensured that his entire team removed their shoes to keep our new rugs clean, and they left without a bump or scratch anywhere. On top of this, their customer service department provided excellent communication throughout the process, and even followed up with us during our move to ensure everything was to our liking. I would definitely recommend Roadway because they made things easy and stress-free.

Jose and his crew were awesome. They showed up early, worked efficiently, and were very respectful of our house/belongings. It was tough work and they offered advice when asked. Would definitely hire again. The entire crew really worked well as a team.

The move was beyond my expectations and "flawless"- The location in NYC was very challenging and the moving team prepared very well and showed up exactly on time. The care to wrap and move some very difficult pieces was great. I thank Tony for setting it up and George for leading the moving team and driving the truck for an early delivery into Maine the very next morning. You can definitely trust Roadway--They were recommended to me by an art auction house--The ONLY company they would recommend for interstate move.

The pick up was excellent, no problems at all. The delivery on the other hand was not. Not only did we have to have them deliver our things twice due to the 18 wheeler not able to park by the apartment, they lost few of my things. It’s been a month and they still cannot figure out where it is. Not to mention these items have a barcode that gets scanned during transaction at the warehouse. The driver specifically told me that it was scanned at the transaction at the warehouse and was in his truck. It got lost from there to here? I am at lost & furious. I had valuable items in there. Very dissatisfied with the service after paying so much, this wasn’t a cheap move.

ONE WORD- INCREDIBLE!!!! I have used Roadway Moving for 4 moves (I relocate a lot for work). Each and every time they deliver and exceed my expectations. The owner of the company (Ross Sapir) is a very hands on person and gets to know his customers which is unheard of in most industries. Everyone from Ross & the office staff to the movers/drivers themselves all do an incredible job at making this process seamless. Moving can be stressful, but I've learned that if I hire Roadway the stress decreases exponentially. I've moved 4 times with Roadway and have had no issues- they pack very carefully and unload very careful. I will never use another company for my moving needs- you shouldn't either- go with Roadway!

They sent a very professional estimator to go through the house, but when the estimate came, it did not include an inventory. In any event, we went with a lower estimate.

One large item was damaged but it was rectified and repaired. Company is very professional. Workers are all very nice. And the truck is impeccable. It could not have been a better experience. I'm only sorry it took so long to write the review. The salesman I worked with was Adrian and he was amazing. He was quick to respond to any question I had before and after I booked the job. I'm sorry I do not remember the names of my teams. They were great, They made what could have been a very stressful experience as easy as possible. I had them pack me and they did a great job. Everything got there in one piece. They used more boxes than originally estimated. My original estimate was for me to pack all but the fragiles. I think they estimate fewer boxes when you are packing yourself. They used more so they were not as heavy and it was easier for the team to move them They honored the estimate they gave me. They were prompt, neat, polite and very professional. I do not plan on moving again but if I did I would use them again in a heartbeat. Moving and relocating is stressful. The actual move was not. Thank you Roadway!!!

Thanks to Roadway our move was smooth and with minimum stress. It was a pleasure to deal with their extremely professional and friendly employees and everything arrived in perfect shape and faster than promised. From my first call on they were prompt, accessible and knowledgeable. Roadway did the full packing for us and also dedicated a truck that moved our stuff directly from NY to Texas. This was an expensive mode of transportation, but we think it was worth it as we care very much about our belongings and this guaranteed zero harm and very fast transport. My first contact was with Adrian, who came to our home and made an accurate estimate of the volumes to be moved. Subsequently he was patient with my very many questions and requirements - I was very worried before I started the process, I was sticking for details and he was always available with all the information and changes that I needed. (thank you Adrian). The packers came exactly when promised and packed up the entire house in a day. They were supposed to move the next day, but knowing how anxious I was about the time table, they actually performed much more than a day's work in a day. They exhibited an outstanding team work and their supervisor, Jose, worked as hard as the others leading and coordinating the team. (thanks Jose). The last lag was the actual transport and delivery- as good as the other parts of the process (I have run out of superlatives). (Thank you so much Lewis). I hope not to move again, but if I do, it will be with Roadway. They are excellent.

Was as pleasant as moving can be :-) They explained what to expect, they did what they said and besides minor damages everything worked out fine. Besides, they were pretty flexible when we had to change our plans (rental apartment instead of storage, different dates). overall: expensive, but I think worth it. $17,000 for 2600 cf (huge truck) including packing.

Workers were punctual and friendly. Also very efficient and move went smooth. Highly recommend this company.

Better than I could possibly imagine with a few minor mishaps. I was very stressed out as my Brooklyn apartment hadn't sold and I had already bought my house in Tucson. The first moving coordinator did not show up for our appointment and I contacted Roadway and they told me person was sick, but someone else would take care of my move. That was Avi. He was wonderful. He showed up for our appointment EARLY! He was very flexible when I had to change the contents of my move from moving everything (when I thought my apartment would sell) to moving most of my stuff but leaving enough for me to be able to stay in the 834 square foot apartment that hadn't sold (after all, I was still paying for it!). He brought the price down to reflect the fact that I was no longer moving everything. I packed most everything myself other than kitchen and electronics and heavy/big stuff that wouldn't fit into the cartons they supplied. The movers came on time with a big crew (7 people) who were terrific. They took about 6 hours with an hour lunch break, and they asked permission before they took this break. One other minor mishap during the period before my furniture was developed was that Roadway kept calling my Brooklyn landline rather than my cell to arrange delivery even though I had sent them an email asking them only to call my cell. Needless to say, anytime they called my Brooklyn landline they got voice mail, since I was already in Tucson! It did get straightened out a couple of days before my furniture was to be delivered. My furniture arrived 11 days later within the time period they promised. Two guys to unpack (just equipment to set up, tvs, etc., they didn't unpack cartons of books, clothes, etc.), so it took quite a while longer (about the same 6 hours as packing) but they were great and set everything up exactly where I wanted it. Nothing was missing. Nothing was broken. Now that it looks like my Brooklyn apartment will finally go into contract within the week, I can schedule another move with them to bring the remaining stuff I have in my apartment to Tucson or keep it in storage while I try to decide if I want to keep a New York presence. They contacted me after the move to check in. Extremely satisfied consumer! Could not recommend them more highly.

I just used Roadway to pack and move two apartments from Astoria Queens in NYC to Farmingville in Suffolk County, Long Island. It went so smoothly that I'm looking for a reason to move again! (absolutely joking. I just bought this house and there's no way I'm paying closing fees again anytime in the near future!) I was moving my 2 bedroom (3rd floor walk-up) plus my in-law parent's 1 bedroom (ground floor). I knew moving all of us would be expensive, so I was considering hiring some friends to help pack and then hiring a "guys with a truck" type service handle it. Before I tried to tackle the move with my own team, I jump on here to get quotes from a few top movers. I also did the "fill out this info and we'll blast it out to a few dozen movers to get you a quote." Because I was asking for a quote from so many companies, I started off by asking for an estimate with just pictures. I took a bunch of pictures of my apartment and started the process. Many didn't respond to the initial request or didn't want to deal with the pictures. That eliminated most of the poorly run companies and the high priced ones. After getting a rough estimate from a few companies, I invited the most promising ones to do the home inspection for a quote. I decided to pick Roadway because they had one of the best prices and their rating here was excellent. Because we were packing and moving 2 apartments, it took two days to complete everything. The packers were amazing, I wasn't prepared for how fast they move. TIP: If you're hiring a pro team to pack for you, expect them to move faster than lightning. The day before they come in, put everything you don't want them to pack aside somewhere. The cable box you need to return, a set of clothing you'll need right away, toiletries, your cat, etc. If you can't move it aside, put a sticker or some clear mark on it so they know not to pack it. Do this ahead of time. I tried to tell them what not to pack during the move but I couldn't keep up with their speed. They did ask me what I didn't want to have packed before they started packing and they asked me several times throughout the move but I didn't have a list, so I was figuring it out as they were packing. Often, by the time I remembered that I didn't want something packed, it was already in a box and headed for the truck. As much as it sucked to have something I needed already packed, I knew it was my fault and I just reminded myself how this is a nice problem to have. Thankfully the move was local and not cross-country, so I'd have my chance to dig into the boxes soon enough. After they loaded the trucks and started driving to the new house, I had to hang back to clean up my apartment before I left. That caused me to be about 30 minutes late but they were super nice. I'm sure they would rather have been done with the job sooner but they didn't express any frustration with me. During the unloading, it was like a conveyor belt of boxes coming through the front door. Furniture item after furniture item. Box after box. A constant stream of items coming in. My wife and I just sat by the door and told them which room each box goes into. It was great. The new house had unusually narrow stairs, so I thought they'd have to take my sons crib apart before getting it upstairs. They managed to lift that thing over their heads and get it into just the right position over the banister, so that it would fit and make it up there without disassembly. That was fantastic because who wants to have to put together a furniture item like that? I'm sure they'd do a fine job but each disassembly puts wear on the furniture item and I'd rather not have to bother. I'm sure the hassle of disassembly and assembly also motivated them to find the way up, haha. My bed was metal with a few simple bars and a head & foot board, so it was much more durable and easier to take apart and assemble. There was no avoiding that. As I write this review, we're half way through unboxing our stuff. So far everything is in great shape. Nothing broken and things were fairly easy to find. The boxes had some description of what was in them, so I didn't have to dig into too many boxes before I found what I needed right away. Best of all, the price I paid was what they quoted me. I've moved a bunch of times in my life. Most were local and a few were cross country. I've never had a terrible experience (thank goodness) and usually had an OK experience. This was the first time I moved and can say that it went great! When you pick a mover, definitely get a quote from multiple reputable companies (top rated here or 5 stars on Yelp). Have them come and do an in-person review, so they can give you a guaranteed quote. Don't just go off an inventory list. You'll forget to include some items or describe it incorrectly. Get the in-person and a guaranteed price. Also, definitely make these guys one of the companies you get a quote from. OK, back to unpacking...

The team was amazing. Roadway sent a three man team with an oversized truck. The team called ahead and arrived early (8:45am). The checked the storage unit and started properly packing anything that was loose and re-packing anything that wasn’t securely packed. The entire time they moved with speed and accuracy. The entire 10x10 unit which contained an apartment worth of furniture was securely packed in the truck in 2 hours. We exited the facility and quickly packed up my parents house. At my new home, they gladly unpacked items they had securely packed and asked for direction on the final destination for furniture so I wouldn’t have to worry about moving it again. When possible, they attempted to put together furniture that had already be shipped dissembled. All I can say is that in a stressful process during a stressful time of year -this team was a Christmas miracle.
