The move was one of the worst of my life. The movers were cavalier and careless. The problems were the following: 1) They snapped my marble desk top in half by twisting it and lifting it carelessly. This is a $4,000 mistake. 2) When I checked in on the bedroom packing, I noticed that the surly serbian mover had placed the DVD player plug side down vertically on my 1950s Danish Modern dresser, creating material scratches. I pointed to the problem and to the scratches . In Flagrante Delicto! Literally --- we both looked at it --- and he said "I didn't do it". Unbelievable. I had warned them that the item was valuable and asked them to be mindful of the finish since something like this literally can't be refinished without changing the piece and decreasing its value. It had the original finish. So refinishing the surface will change it forever. This is a $10,000 mistake -- it was a valuable piece. Most serious collectors hate to refinish pieces for good reason -- this is a real shame. 3) They packed a bedroom lamp poorly, snapping its top off 4) They broke the beak of an antique hummingbird because it was thrown in carelessly with the lamp 5) They opened their boxes with razors on my stone floors, and scratched the floors!!! I caught them in the act and documented it with photos 6) One mover despite my repeated requests kept lugging stuff on his back, and dragging boxes against my walls, leaving marks 7) They gave me an estimate that included all packing. I spent $300 to use Jugglebox, and packed 50 boxes myself. Yet they tried to charge me $400 OVER the estimate. These movers quite simply were careless and caused material damage to valuable antiques. I paid them reluctantly and am considering legal remedies. On the bright side, two of their crew were excellent -- capable, friendly, joyous and competent. It was simply that the others were terrible and the company has made no material effort to fix the problems. If they were solid guys they would replace my marble desk, fix the floors, glue the lamp etc. The bureau can't be fixed, alas.

We would highly recommend Redline to anyone we know. Completed research on Angie's list and narrowed down to two companies. From initial phone call with lots of questions to Kieran from Redline keeping the estimate appointment, Redline was prompt, courteous, professional and provided an estimate (and assurances for two frazzled movers) that made sense and met our needs. I confirmed the day before the move that we were on schedule and the move was smooth and efficient. Redline is responsible for "smooth and efficient." TJ and his crew arrived on time which was important to meet co-op cut off time of 4pm for work to be complete. We quickly went through the house and the team started working. I have never met a more agreeable group of movers (and we have plenty of experience). This team not only divided resources, communicating clearly who would do what but efficiently disassembled furniture, wrapped every item (every one), boxed chairs and finished packing what ever we missed. What impressed us most was the care and concern for safety. Large pieces of furniture (small too) require brawn and focus. We heard over and over again "Do you have your end, are your shins protected, are you balanced etc etc." It was awesome to watch and we understood what Kieran (the estimator) meant about training and retaining crew members as a priority. Well done Redline, TJ and his crew were fantastic. At the other end we were moved in so fast: reassembled, all tape, blankets, dollies, boxes and paper removed below the estimate Kieran provided. We knew the estimate was reasonable and fair and we were happy when we came in under the maximum estimate. Overall, Redline 's hourly rate was slightly higher but quality should always be considered and Redline delivers quality. Hands down worth the moderate price differential which in the end with the efficiency of the move on the back end it evened out. Thank you Shane, Kieran, TJ and crew.

Redline Moving was responsive from beginning to end. We moved out of a 3,000 sq ft loft that we had lived in for 40 years so you can imagine the amount of stuff we had accumulated. They estimated the cost of the job, were meticulous and thorough and professional all along and genuinely fun to work with! Even though the job was more than they originally estimated in terms of volume, they stuck to the written estimate. When we had to move things into storage later, we called Redline and had the same experience. Do not look elsewhere. They are truly dedicated movers and stand-up human beings.

It was an excellent experience. I was arranging the move for my very elderly and infirm in-laws. From the beginning, all appointments, such as the preliminary assessment, were adhered to completely. The company was extremely responsive (delightful to deal with) to all questions prior to and after the move. As we had an issue of moving on a weekday, six men were sent to avoid a problem at the apartment being vacated and they were most helpful, cooperative, and accomplished their tasks rapidly. They were a pleasure to have on site and they completed the move earlier than expected. Some items that had been packed were not unpacked, but that occurred mostly because my mother-in-law had not decided where the items should be placed. The cost of the move was less than originally estimated. There was some damage to an antique, hand-made very large Japanese screen, but I had seen the young man remove it from its crate and the damage occurred although he handled this item very carefully. Redline compensated my in-laws within a few weeks afterward. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

This was the best moving experience I could have had. Starting with the in person estimate, everything was handled correctly and professionally. On the day of the first move, the movers carefully disassembled all furniture where necessary and even took down drapes and curtain rods, and everything was meticulously and carefully packed. I was able to relax and have a cup of coffee, the guys were so capable, friendly and cheerful, it was actually a very pleasant experience!! Who knew moving could be fun!

From the estimate to the last box being moved, Redline was excellent. They gave us a flat rate quote and quickly responded to any additional questions that we had. The crew were very careful with our belongings and really nice, polite guys. I would highly recommend them and I will absolutely use them again.

It went really well. They were friendly, cooperative, punctual, respectful and careful.

Overall, it was good - The nicest guys you'd ever meet. There were a few little things that went wrong, but nothing that would keep me from giving them an A. They were conscious of the dogs in the house & open doors. They were incredibly efficient. When they were done, they decided they'd overestimated the price and that we needed a refund! A few days later we have received a check! I was impressed by that. Overall a good experience.

In last 6 years I moved atleast 10 times and for the first time move was very swift and did not cost much damage except for one glass.

Boy, did they make this incredibly finicky, stressed out client (that would be me) feel that all would be well in the world. And it was. Great service. Nicest people. Where others told me my move was complicated (because it required moving and dumping), Redline said, "Piece of cake." Exactly what I wanted to hear!

I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. I called RedLine after reading positive reviews on Angie's List. My first contact was with Shane, who asked me specific questions about the move, which was a rather complicated situation. He gave me a verbal estimate, and then immediately followed up by email with a written one. Several weeks later, when I called to book the appointment, he worked hard to find a suitable day for me. On the day of the move, it was 10 degrees outside. The crew of 4 men, led by Tommy, arrived exactly on time and went immediately to work. They were extremely careful with my things, many of which I consider to be "heirlooms" inherited from both of my grandmothers. They were polite, considerate and cheerful, in spite of the biting cold. Even though the travel between the two homes had to be on local roads, they wasted no time and arrived promptly at the second location. Again, they set right to work with the same care and great attitudes. On several occasions, I changed my mind about the location of a piece of furniture and they cheerfully moved it, waiting patiently while I made up my mind. The final leg of the move was to return to the original location and unpack and place the furniture there. At that point, they had been working for eight hours, with only a short break to have a quick lunch. They continued in the same vein, including moving rugs to accommodate the new furniture being placed. I would recommend this company VERY highly!

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. We moved from Western Nassau County to Western Suffolk. They showed up early (2 trucks and 5 guys), marked every piece of furniture that they wrapped and boxes that they packed with the appropriate room names, asking for verification when they were unsure. Everything they packed (electronics and miscellaneous items) were packed well with LOTS of packing paper. They worked diligently throughout the 10 hour moving day, and when we got to our new home, they placed all of the furniture exactly where we wanted it and before they left, they asked if we wanted anything else moved to a different location. They were friendly and careful with our belongings and we just had the best experience.

Our experience with Redline was excellent. Keiran and Shane run an excellent business and have great people working for them. Both were very professional, responsive, and accommodating of our schedule with regards to setting up an in-person estimate, delivering boxes, and scheduling the move itself. They sent a great team of movers who were very polite, efficient, focused, and careful. We really appreciated the care they took to communicate with us throughout the move to make sure that things were cared for and moved as we wanted them to be. Also found their pricing to be very fair, and the quality of the experience overall to be very high. They certainly didn't add a bit of stress to our moving day, which is a lot more than most people have to say about their experience with their movers!

Went very well from the estimate through the move. They arrived on time (actually a bit early). Completed the job one hour under the estimate. All furniture was wrapped and handled carefully. Mattresses were placed in plastic protecive bags. Piano move was a difficult move - a heavy antique piano that had been stored in a basement, but somehow they managed it. There were no damages. Movers and foreman were all polite and professional. Would definitely recommend Redline.

Since my wife was 5 months pregnant at the time, I needed to find a moving company that would provide a full-service move from midtown Manhattan to Stamford, CT. I had heard (and read) a few horror stories about companies overcharging and even keeping furniture hostage, so I was also looking for a company that would provide a binding quote. I started out by contacting some of the national companies that I knew (Mayflower, Allied, etc.) and asked for a quote. The local affiliates for these companies ended up calling us to set-up an in home estimate. I also contacted Redline after reading a lot of positive reviews on Angie?s List. Out of the companies that provided an in-home estimate, Redline was the least expensive and they were also the friendliest and most responsive. There was one company that provided an estimate that was lower, but they had rescheduled their in-home estimate several times and then provided the estimate without even coming to see the apartment. That company also wouldn't provide a binding estimate, so I didn't want to risk using them. The move went very smoothly and my wife and I did not have to lift a finger for this move. Kieran and his crew came in the day before our move and packed up all our boxes and furniture. They did a great job of padding the furniture and labeling / organizing boxes. They were also very tolerant of our cat who can sometimes be a little testy. The crew arrived right on time (even a few minutes early), we had absolutely zero damage to our items and they made it very easy to unpack. At the end of the day, there were no surprises with the cost and we were very happy. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company.

Redline's Keiran, Shane, Simon and their crew were all terrific. Kieren provided a prompt and professional estimate in advance, and dropped off boxes in advance for self-packing. E-mail communications were stellar. On moving day the crew arrived promptly, and dealt with unexpected parking issues with grace. They packed in the morning, drove from Brooklyn to Philly, and unpacked, all within a single day. Their atttention to detail in packing items such as china and furniture was extraordinary - far better than I have ever experienced with large, nationwide movers used in past years for relocations. The entire Redline team exhibited a strong sense of customer service, and a keen sense of quality professionalism. I highly recommend them.

It was the beginning of a unique experience in moving when I contacted Redline for an estimate. With all my previous moves, the estimator only vaguely represented the outcome of the move; I would see the person once and that's it. Also, the managers/owners of these companies were usually available only by phone. Kieran arrived (on time), meticulously and honestly estimated my move, followed up numerous times and then... (and this blew my mind) ...showed up on the day of the move to foreman the whole procedure. Kieran is the whole deal: owner, estimator and mover! His estimate was spot-on, and his hard work normalized a difficult disruption of my life into a pleasant experience. Thank you Redline!

these guys were awesome. we had originally used them a few weeks before to move some very large very awkward antiques from my mother's house in Brooklyn to my brother's house in Staten Island. everything went off without a hitch. they were a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. The first contact we had was Shane Denley and he was extremely nice, patient adn very helpful. I would recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for a mover. They made my Aunt extremely comfortable with the move and she was very happy with the outcome. it was a painless experience.

We were absolutely delighted with Redline Movers. Everything about them was top-notch professional. They kept to their original estimate, showed up early, had a terrific crew of smart, good-natured, hard-working people, were kind to us throughout the day (moving can be traumatic!), and completed everything on schedule and without any breakage. We also appreciated the fact that they had eco-friendly recyclable containers. We've never had such a great moving experience!
