I have heard horror stories about remodeling, but I have heard good things about this company from neighbors. He made big promises that everything would be done correctly. For the most part that was true. The only reason that it was ok was because I had to ask for them during the remodel. If I never would have said anything the whole thing would have been done badly. I had to ask to have the old paint scraped off of the tub before they repainted it. Another example, the floor. The tile was horribly installed, it looked chopped up in the corners instead of a nice clean cut. I had to ask the contractor to fix 3 corners of the floor, it looks a little bit better now, but I am not fully happy with it. He blames the tile, and says it is too difficult to deal with. I had picked the tile long before they started on the bathroom. I had to clean and fix the grout myself. The lamp fixtures, one of them was installed and is not secure it seems dangerous. I had to replace one of the screws myself so it would not move. The tub had a leak that I made the contractor very aware of and he said he could fix it. I still have the leak, it has improved a bit, but it is still there. These are things that I can take care of, but when I am paying someone so much, I do not expect to have to do these jobs. Its just that overall I see some careless planning on this job. He is a very nice person, but when it comes to the business part of it I do not see him as reliable. I am going to say that I would use them again because he is the super of the building and it is convenient.
Description of Work: This a pre-war building that just turned 100yrs old. The bathroom is original, and very small. Everything was gutted, the bathroom was completely taken down. All of the tile was replaced, the original tub was kept, as well as the stain glass window. We tried to keep it as original looking as possible during the remodel. Repainted, the room and replaced the sink and the toilet.
