This guy is a joke. A con. A Donald Trump. Here’s what happened. The ‘Doctor’ (read: Demetri) was initially contacted to replace my ipod’s battery and hard drive. Issue 1: the repair person arrived about an hour after the agreed appointment. Issue 2: the repair person only had the hard drive and was ‘unaware’ that the battery needed to be replaced. So, another appointment needed to be scheduled to complete the entire job. But wait, there's more! Issue 3: the new battery, coupled with a solid state drive which is less reliant on battery power than the stock memory, actually holds *less of a charge* than the dying battery it replaced. That's right: the replacement battery is worse than the one it replaced. AMAZING! Accordingly, my initial Yelp review accurately portrayed this less than stellar experience. The ‘Doctor’s’ response? A number of harassing texts, emails AND phone calls asking, nay, bribing me to reconsider my rating. Here’s one example, sent May 13, 2016: “I wanted to follow up with you and see if everything is going well with your upgrade. I'm sure this is beating a dead horse (notation: yes, ‘Doctor’, you *are* beating a dead horse) but odd (notation: sic) also like to request once again that you reconsider giving us 5 stars or remove your feedback altogether. I'm not asking you to do anything unprincipled (notation: yes you are) but there must be something we can do to make your overall experience a more pleasurable one. I could give you a free gift for the inconvenience we caused you or a partial refund? Presently I have a really nice portable device charger we sell for $40 I could offer you for your inconvenience. It has to USB ports and charges an iPhone 6 from 0 - full twice on a charge(notation: bribe!) We could give that iPod a complete make over with a new front and back cover. I could give you a $50 certificate for a future repair such as if the headphone jack in your iPod ever break (notation 1: sic. notation 2: it DID break; perhaps the 'Doctor' has psychic ability! Read on!). Please consider these options. Yelp ranks businesses based on those stars and although we provide the highest quality parts in all our repairs (believe me this is not the case with over 80% of the stores out there) we won't even get seen by some people if we don't have the highest feedback (notation: the horror!). I'm not worried about people with iPod repairs finding me they always do I've been doing this in Manhattan longer than anyone but with iPhone or computer repairs which is where the majority of our business comes from those couple of stars have decreased our business significantly (notation: rightfully so. You mess up, there's gonna be consequences, 'Doctor').” Bribery, indeed. The ‘Doctor’ even went so far as to mention his litter and how they need to eat. Sigh. Fast forward a whole 24 days and the headphone jack fails. I’m not suggesting this is related to the initial repair. Actually, *repairs*. But the timing appears to be more than fortuitous. And it appears the 'Doctor' has a psychic ability. So, actually, I am suggesting this is related. Either way, I foolishly reached out to said ‘Doctor’ for the repair and, $50+ later -I can't recall exactly how much- it was fixed. But I didn't bite and take the bribe. That said, considering the experience was significantly better than the initial I changed my Yelp review. Fast forward 2 months and a couple of days, and the newly replaced headphone jack is not working; the right channel is dead. Although the ‘Doctor’ claims his work and parts are under warranty for a year, the ‘Doctor’ who, ordinarily quick to respond to emails/texts, goes utterly incognito. And I’m left paying *yet again* to source the part and have a 3rd party replace. You’re a joke. A con. A Donald Trump. Avoid at all costs.
Description of Work: 5th Gen. iPod's battery needed to be replaced (no longer held a charge) and original drive replaced w. a solid state. Oh, and later the headphone jack needed to be replaced, due to the 'Doctor's' shoddy work.

I had an appointment set up for April 15th from 11 AM-noon. Milan, the technician, arrived right on time and got to work. About halfway through the project, he asked me if I had any AAA batteries which I did not. He asked if there was a store nearby where he could pick some up. I advised him that there was a supermarket across the street. He left to get the batteries around 11:25 and returned about 11:50. He was able to finish up the work and left around 12:15 pushing my job into a second hour. I feel like this is either something that he should have been prepared for before starting the job or that the time spent getting batteries (which I could have gotten myself at any point) shouldn't have counted against me. I feel that the work could have been completed within the initial one-hour timeframe that was originally estimated by Dimitri. I think that it would be fair if I was refunded the $125 for the second hour as I do feel that the work could have been completed within the original hour as estimated.
Description of Work: I called NYCiPodDoctor.com towards the beginning of last week. I spoke with Dimitri who took the details of my request which was to set up my entertainment appliances in my new cadenza. He advised me that their first hour rate was $150 and then any additional time outside the first hour would be $125/hour. He then added that the work described shouldn't take more than an hour to complete.

Had read several online reviews of Demetri Leontaris' service so called him with my problems: (1) a battery that would not hold a charge, and (2) a hard drive that would not load the iPod software or my library of music/podcasts. (iPod was approx 11 years old and is no longer sold or supported by Apple.) He called and emailed with questions, suggested I mail him my iPod as it sounds like he does a fair amount of mail-in business and I did so. (Apparently he makes on-site service calls in the NYC area.) Prompt acknowledgement of receipt and Demetri kept me up-to-date on issues he found and solutions he was testing as well as options he thought would not be advisable. He really took a personal interest in fixing my device, all the more so when I explained why this particular item was important to me. Received my iPod back via mail within a couple of days after he'd completed the fixes/upgrades and so far, it's working like new. Demetri has since contacted me to ensure it's working satisfactorily. Really appreciated Demetri's professionalism!
Description of Work: Replaced the battery of an early iPod Classic III and swapped out a dysfunctional hard drive for a more stable flash drive approx 3x the size of the original hard drive
