The auto document feed was working, now after getting it back it doesn't work at all. I called the business to try to solve these problems and I was hung up on. I feel this company does't have a clue what they are doing with these machines so I wanted to get the word out so people don't get scammed like I did.
The kicker is, they tried to sell me another printer for $500.00.
"We value the member's business and regret that he is upset. We believe that we explained clearly to him when he originally called for service on his HP M1522, that our minimum charge to come to his home and perform any diagnosis and or repairs the cost would be $135 an hour. which includes any parts and labor for the first hour. Any time after that would be prorated. When our technicians work on copiers they are trained to first diagnose and repair the most obvious and least expensive parts that may be contributing to the problem. After the basic maintenance is done sometimes the problem is resolved and sometimes further troubleshooting is required or other issues are apparent. It is very similar to the way a mechanic works on a car. We went to his home and at that time we explained further work and diagnosis would be required upon his approval we brought the machine back to our shop. After two more hours in which we did not charge the member, it was apparent the machine would need more work, he then declined our services and requested we return the machine unrepaired. Which we documented on the work order he signed upon its return (please see attachment). Mr. Foley was only charged the initial fee of $135. We also suggested an excellent, inexpensive higher quality machine to him."
