He came to me as a referral because had I checked Angie's List first, I would have never hired him. Matt came out and gave me an estimate. I paid 1/2 down deposit (as he requested). He bought the wrong roof coating I'd ask for and I didn't discover this until he'd already finished 1 container on roof so I had him proceed with 2nd container of this same coating. The reflective coating is supposed to be stirred and mixed well before apply and when I went up on the roof to check out progress i noticed he hadn't even bother to stir the coating up to make sure it was mixed properly so I stirred coating myself as he was applying. In the meanwhile his other workers were in the process of my basement entrance demo. They used a tar coating to prevent moisture on the inside and got it all over a door and carpet they needed to walk on to use the bathroom. While they needed to let coating dry before they could finish basement entrance (redo walls, stairs, door, etc.) they did not return and I spent weeks following up to get them to come back and finish the job. Over a month went by before they came back and the first thing he wanted was a check to finish the job. I did not give him anymore money and after that day told them not to come back. I had to hire another contractor to come and finish the job. I strongly recommend you do not use this contractor.
Description of Work: Hired to fix roof leak, coat roof with reflective coating, redo basement entrance.

Complete and utter nightmare!! By far, the absolute worst experience I ever had with a contractor in my home. He runs his business day to day (and check to check) and cannot possibly handle any problems that may arise (read: no money left to run the actual business). He barely has any support to speak of and spreads himself too thin. He tries to be at all jobs at the same time and does none of them well. He claims to do everything needed for home repair but is a master of nothing. Since starting with Robinson, we had to bring in a new contractor to complete EVERY job he started. Every single job was left unfinished. Of the jobs that were close to completed, I still had to bring in another professional to actually do over much of the work he did complete. All work that was performed was shoddy and contained numerous mistakes. After almost 6 months, we still don't have our kitchen and den completed and most of the lights in our backyard still aren't functional. Since we stopped working with him, we have already brought in a new tile guy, a roofer to repair his gutter work, an electrician to redo his electrical work and had to contract directly with the cabinet manufacturer since Robinson couldn't actually pay for the work he was supposed to pay for. I definitely would NOT recommend working with Robinson's Customs.
Description of Work: Redo the kitchen, den, siding....NONE OF THESE JOBS WERE COMPLETED.
