We do not service the Buffalo, NY area at all. Did you call the company the day of the appointment to get an estimated time of arrival when you noticed they were late or did you call to see why they did not show up? The first appointment we schedule would be a Free Estimate Visit and we had no Free Estimates scheduled in our service area for Friday August 1, 2014 as shown in this review. Please contact us if you are referring to another date and/or location in our service area and we will be glad to assist you.

Steve, one of the owners, came out to provide a quote. Once we were ready to move forward we were quickly able to get a date scheduled. The team of 3 (including Deysi, the other owner) showed up on time and did a professional and thorough job. They did such a good job that I've hired them for on-going bi-weekly cleanings. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Rockland County, NY area.

D and S is not consistent in services. My dog was left out in the hall after the cleaning. This husband and wife team will side with each other before apologizing to clients. This company refuses to apologize and own leaving my dog in the hall, locked out of my apartment. If you don't care if your cleaning company checks to see if your dog is inside his or her own apartment, leaves and locks the door, then this is the company for you. And I would not be posting this at all if I had gotten an apology for that mistake. I offered to retract this report if they were willing to apologize. As you can see by the response they are not apologizing and instead blaming me for their wrongdoing. They left at 11ish am. I work in NYC, living in Rockland, and luckily it was a snow day and my neighbor who is a teacher was home. She found my dog and called my landlord, luckily also home, at 12:30pm my dog was put back in my apartment. My dog is diabetic and needs water and food. If he had been there until my dog walker came at 2pm or if the mailman had come and my dog had bolted, things could have turned out badly. Good fortune prevented this, not D and S and would not assume any responsibility for this or apologize. My first experience with D and S Cleaning was wonderful. Wood floors cleaned with Murphy's, everything s*** and span, with wonderful scented smells. My second experience less than good. Floor was not mopped. Vaccum cleaner emptied in the yard. And a general rush job. Called and D and S, Mr. Collazo apologized and gave me a discount for a third cleaning. Third, better with the discount. 4th on December 28, 2010. Mrs. Collazo and an assistant arrived at 9am and I was getting ready for work. They forgot the mop. And seemed rushed. I advised how important to leave the dog and gave some instructions. I have a small one bedroom apartment. Not a big house. I have lived here for over 5 years and not once by mistake have I left my dog outside of my apartment. There is no one to enter the apartment and let him out. On this day the only people in my apartment was D and S cleaning. My dog is diabetic, needing water and food all day. It was 11am when they left and there is no doubt in my mind that someone from D and S left the door open and my dog got out and was in the hall, maybe upstairs, there are 3 apartments. My neighbor found my dog at 11:45am and brought him into her apartment. She has no key to my apartment. Nobody has the key except the landlord. She found the landlord and at about 12:30pm my dog was back in his apartment, probably stressed. When I called to complain as I was very upset about my dog being locked outside of my apartment. There was no apology, Steve took up for his wife, who cleaned the apartment and was convinced that she saw the dog in my apartment as she left. Truly, no way my dog could have been left out except for her and her assistant. And when I stated a mistrust but conveyed that I was not wanting to part ways, probably just wanted an apology and ownership of the action of leaving my dog outside. I was told that they were stopping services, sending my key back and conveyed that many things can happen where a dog is left outside. I honestly felt that Steven Collazo took sides with his wife who obviously made an error in a very small apartment, not making sure my dog was inside his home, with water and food. He not only did not apologize, he insinuated that there were ways beyond his wife and her assistant that the dog could have escaped. Not sure how this could happen. As I said, I go to work 5 days a week, commuting into the city from Rockland, and this has never happened before. Things happen. And accidents happen. But as a customer with a valid complaint and issue, one wants respect and not to be blamed for their error. The fact is that if this was not a husband and wife team, my guess is the employee would have been talked to and an apology would have been forthcoming to the customer. Just a forewarning of how I was treated and how my dog was not cared for in the best way. An addendum, Mr. Collazo contacted this customer and wanted to know how come I wrote what I wrote. I once again said that I was not an overall unhappy customer. My main gripe is that D and S are minimizing a problem, leaving my dog outside, that I find to be irresponsible and could have been catastrophic, and it turned out well, but no thanks to them and I expected an apology and still do. D and S are still refusing to take responsibility and apologize. And personally this is not how I would like to conduct business with any professional company.

Response from D & S Cleaning Service
I cannot believe that you would actually post this and those bogus ratings and please tell everyone who else has a key to your apartment and how long your dog was allegedly left outside the apartment. According to you in our conversations, your dog "Willie" was safely back in your apartment after about 20 minutes of being out, and not even outside! Inside the apartment house! You even said he was safe upstairs because he liked the tenant there, and it was a place which you said he was accustomed of going to. Out of all the conversations and emails you have never mentioned your dog being diabetic and it appears that you want to add that now trying to draw sympathy. If your landlord put Willie back in your apartment at 11 AM then he would have seen the cleaners because they were there until about 11:45 AM. That is the time my wife left and she saw Willie go into your bedroom as she was leaving. We have a dog also who is part of our family and we treat all our client's pets as if they are our own. All our other clients can confirm that because we are just housecleaners but we even walk client's dogs and feed them upon request. These are things that are not usually done by housecleaners. Why would my wife leave Willie outside in the hallway? Even if it was an accident and he snuck out, and they did not see that, then how would they know to leave food and water in the hallway if it is something they did not know happened? If they left the door open, then why would the landlord need a key to open your door? Your dog is not small so it is not like he can get by her unnoticed as she is closing the door. Your story just does not make sense. Like I told you on the phone and in email, if in fact Willie was left outside in the hallway, we were very happy that he was safe inside the house and not able to go outside and that in fact he was, according to you, out of your apartment only for about 20 minutes and safe indoors. I am actually shocked that you would accuse us of being some sort of animal haters that purposefully tried to harm your special needs dog. You advise caution with using us? How did we mistreat or disrespect you???? You stated you did not know if you could trust us anymore and if that was the case why did you want us to continue? You sent me an email requesting your key back and that is why we decided to discontinue services. You complain that we stopped service? What else do you want me to do if you say you don't trust us and that you wanted your key back? You wanted us to apologize and take blame for something we did not do, you were the one who kept conveying the "what ifs" of your dog being left outside, i.e. what if the mailman came and he ran outside, what if this, what if that. I am the one who did not want to get into those "what if" scenarios and conveyed how happy I was that if in fact that he was safe and not in any danger. It seems more and more that you were just looking for another discount with this story and when you did not get it you are now trying to purposefully discredit us and make us look like an uncaring and awful housecleaning company. Thank you for mentioning the times we did handle your valid complaints, how I apologized, took responsibility, and how you were compensated. We want all our customers to be happy and as they can see we take customer satisfaction seriously. You keep saying that this was our error and that we blamed you for this error. You are wrong on both counts. You were not there, so how can you honestly say you know what happened and that we were to blame, if in fact this really did happen? If your dog is diabetic, has special needs, and requires food and water all day, then why are you leaving him alone all day in that apartment 5 days a week? I think that would in fact be a valid complaint. You want me to be sorry and apologize? Then I am sorry that you posted this deceitful, dishonest and malicious comment here. I am sorry that you would use your dog Willie to try to discredit us. All I ask now is that you just leave us alone. You said yourself that you wanted your key back for "closure" and we complied. This doesn't seem like closure to me. Steven C.
