I called him over the phone and he told me what exactly to do to remedy it. My garage door and house got hit by lighting and it blew out the garage door motor. He came and replaced what needed to be replaced. He is absolutely the best garage door service installer and repairer that you could find. He came out the same day to repair the door. He is a 100% professional and helpful. He is intelligent and gives instructions. He is extremely responsive when I call, he will call back. At one point my garage door was squeaking and he gave me instructions over the phone as to what to do to and he doesn't charge me anything for information given on the phone and normally that has remedied whatever problem I have.

They did an excellent job. The man was very friendly, and I could not ask for anyone better. His price included a discount for being an Angie's List member.

We arrived home on a Saturday night and as we were closing the garage door, it came to a groaning halt and jammed. Tried to fix it but saw that the whole door system was off the runner and crooked --- one side remained open 2 feet and the other side around 3 feet. We called a number of places but did not expect any responses till the beginning of the work week. Kevin called back at 7:15 Sunday morning. He asked a number of questions and based on my answers, he indicated that it might be repairable but would need to come to see. Kevin indicated that he had another small job but could arrive around 9 am that morning! He called around 8:15, to give an updated estimate of his arrival time and showed up about one half hour later. Kevin gave a very detailed description of his evaluation of the problem, the work he needed to do to repair it, and a very fair fee for the cost. His work was very thorough and efficient. When the time comes to replace the garage door, Kevin will be hearing back from us.

Kevin came at the appointed time to explain my options and show me samples. He was very helpful and gave me estimates on several doors. Once I decided, we made an appointment for the installation. He was very flexible and patient about working around my schedule. On the day of installation, he and his father showed up promptly. The installation and clean-up were done quickly, efficiently, and professionally. I would definitely recommend him.

We had been having intermittent problems with one of our garage doors not closing. I had called 3 other businesses and was waiting for call backs when I remembered to check Angie's list. I found Kevin's name on Angie's List and called, leaving him a voice message. He called back promptly, was very pleasant and professional, and was at our home 3 hours later with his dad to do the repairs. He immediately identified the problem: the wheels that are on the cables were worn out and needed replacing. We decided to replace the wheels on both doors for a total of 8 wheels. He also reset the keypad opener and did some other door adjustments and taught us how to differentiate if there was an issue with the electronic eyes or another problem. We are not the original owners of the house so were concerned about some missing parts from the original garage door installation. My husband wanted the missing parts added to the doors. Kevin told me that he could certainly add those parts, what the cost would be but then went on to explain why it really wasn't necessary to do so. So many times people try to up sell in a service situation. Kevin didn't do that and we really appreciated his explanations and honesty. The service call was $85 and the cost to replace the 8 wheels on the doors $40. If we ever need garage door repair or replacement in the future Kevin is the person we will call. As a side note, the 3 other businesses didn't return my calls until after Kevin had already done the repairs. Snooze ya lose in the service business!

I spoke with Kevin the morning the work was performed, which happened to be a Sunday - his day off. Because we were having a hard time scheduling a time for the following day (Monday), Kevin took it upon himself to come out the very same day. He did not charge extra for this though I would've paid for the convenience of not having to probably leave work early during the week. We had discussed what needed to be done and an estimate over the phone and it worked out exactly as we discussed. Kevin is professional, personable, a real staight shooter, and his responsiveness speaks for itself. The previous reviews are why I called K J CLEARY GARAGE DOOR and I can attest to their accuracy. I would recommend Kevin and will call him for any future repairs or installations.

What a great experience. Kevin returned my call the same day, and even came to give me an estimate that afternoon. He was very friendly and polite, but more importantly, knowledgeable. He clearly explained the benefits of using double safety springs and larger wheels, and was very clear about the cost. He accommodated my schedule and came at 7:15 a.m. . He worked quickly, neatly and even added an extra support to the door with no extra charge. The door opens & closes perfectly. I cannot recommend him enough.

they showed up on time as promised. took off old doors, replaced them with 2 steel doors, new tracks, new censors, everything from soup to nuts. neat, clean, and incredibly professional. they spend time explaining how doors worked. i can barely hear the doors open when i am in the garage, that's how quiet they are.

These guys are a pleasure to do business with. They arrived on time and completed the job within the time frame they said they would. They're pleasant, professional and accommodating to your particular job. Kevin is a wealth of information when it comes to garage doors and openers. He's been doing it for 25 years and knows every garage door and opener out there. He'll take the time to answer your questions and explain how everything works.

The garage door would not open because the cable had broken and the car was therefore stuck in the garage. When we called they (father and son) were about 15-20 minutes away in the next town. They came over right away, explained what they could do and did the job immediately and on the spot. The door now operates well and works very smoothly. We really were not sure if they could do the work right away, but they did, and we are most grateful.

Kevin gave a clear and detailed estimate, explaining our options clearly. He arrived promptly, did the job (with the assistance of his father) quickly and well, and explained thoroughly the operation and features of the door. Good attention to detail, polite, and meticulous.

The job was perfect. Kevin was on-time, did exactly what he said he would do from the first time we called him, and the door was installed without any problems whatsoever. It works (and looks) great. He cleaned up so well that you'd have no idea he was even at my house working any work.

Mr. Cleary was prompt, pleasant, and very reasonably priced.

IF I COULD GIVE THEM AN A+ I WOULD. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS, POLITE AND RESPONSIVE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO WOULD NEED THEIR SERVICES.
