INSTALL A LOCK

Excellent. They came right on time and replaced the lock very quickly. He then checked to make sure everything worked properly and discovered there was a problem with the door because the frame had been bent. It took the extra time (going above and beyond what he needed to do) to fix the door to make she the door latched properly. He also tightened all the screws around my door to make sure it was secure. He was just amazing and didn't charge me anything extra for the time he spent on the underlying door issues. He was professional and knew what he was doing expertly. I would ABSOLUTELY use this company again and would recommend them to anyone!!

We had an exchange of emails on Sunday. He said I could send him photos of the locks I was looking to replace. He made a good suggestion about keys. Then I realized that the job would require more than I initially thought. Because the work is in a condo building I need further approval by the board before hiring anyone. When we're ready to go I know I'll be calling Jerry.

Had an electronic lock that had fallen out of alignment and frequently not locking. Called Install A Lock. Jerry was able to come out within about 2 hours. Very friendly and professional. Worked very patiently for about 1 hour getting everything realigned, including readjusting the door hinges to correct alignment with door. Was very impressed with his professionalism and determination to fix the problem, rather than trying to sell me a new lock. Recommend, without reservation, to anyone looking for an honest, reliable locksmith who takes pride in his work and values his integrity.

We were locked out of our house on Easter Sunday and called Install A Lock at about 8:00 AM. Someone was at our house by 9:15 to help us. We were told on the phone that the job usually costs less but because it was a holiday there was a price increase which is understandable. Overall it was a very good experience and we would use them again.

They answered the phone and gave me an appointment for the same day. The locksmith was professional and prompt - arrived exactly at the time he promised and fixed my problem.

Went very well. I called him due to the good reviews he got here on angieslist.com and Jerry himself answered the phone. We made arrangements on the spot (one-call-close... I didn't even call around for price comparison). The day of service came without a call for confirmation (on either end), and when he was slightly late, I worried and called his office. They told me he got caught up at some sort of emergency and that he was already enroute to me. In deed, he arrived just a short time later, maybe 30 minutes late. Thankfully, it wasn't a big deal for my schedule, and I didn't even mention anything to him as he originally wanted to meet up with me earlier in the morning since he already had some personal things going on later in the day. Since I couldn't do earlier, I was just happy he was able to help at the time I was available, on a Saturday, and he came out from Long Island. He brought an old friend of his along with him for company, and that didn't bother me a bit. Both very nice guys and we shot the wind a bit. Jerry worked quickly disassembling the old parts, re-keying and making copies of the new one as I requested, and finally putting all the new parts in place and making sure everything worked smoothly. He had me double-check that everything worked well, and in fact, my back door locked more smoothly than it had before, due to some adjustments he made. He was paid, and with a handshake and well wishing, they were off! In short, I'd definitely use him again. While I wish he called to say, "Hey- I'm a little late!", it wasn't a very big deal for me. While bringing a friend actually made for nice chemistry in my eyes, it could be an issue for someone else, so I mention it here just in case you're looking for more professionalism. I think he's a stand-up kind of guy, a family man, he goes in and does his job, and does it well. I was so relieved to have the work done by an honest professional.

Gerry explained all of the work clearly, gave me options, and installed the locks well. He fixed a couple issues with my door hinges/frame without charge. He's a proud family man who knows locks well. I will definitely use him again for any lock/door work in the future.

The experience was great from start to finish. I called and spoke to Jerry and he was helpful and knowledgable. He even showed patience with me as I had had him work up an entire estimate only for me to call back 5 min later and change my mind on what I wanted. Jerry showed up on time and the work was quick and professional. He really took time to improve the locks as he worked. He also gave me plenty of options about how to secure my basement door. Jerry also righted a number f door handles through out the house, which I really appreciated. Moreover, Jerry was very a very pleasant person.

The company had an emergency, so I was called, and they did come a few hours late. However, Jerry was very professional, and walked me through everything he was going to do, and all of my options at different price points. He gave me a quick estimate of nicer locks and when I told him that was too much, he gave me a less expensive option, but still a good quality lock. He made sure all the locks fit nicely in the doors and drilled and scraped out the holes to make sure they closed smoothly. He was very pleasant, and didn't go above the price he quoted me on at all. He did a great job!

I spoke with Jimmy at the store first set up an appointment for 7/5 with Jerry to install my locks. I was very please from the very beginning since I moved out to Bethpage in my very first home I wanted to feel secure. At no time did I feel pressure to buy an expensive lock but I wanted to even though Jerry suggested a more affordable lock (who does that these days usally they always try to rip you off but not Jerry!) Poor Jerry was there for hours but he made sure that everything worked and was secured. I now really have a piece of mind and that you can't put a price on. Just moved to Baldwin Long island 1st time homeowner happy and nervous at the same time. I found this place this morning at 3:30am and I got a good feeling after reading all the reviews. So I called today at like 8:15am gave them a description of what I wanted done and the parts I already had and they gave me the price right then. Jerry was here at like 10:30am. He installed a touch pad deadbolt key lock and change all the back door locks to match the new deadbolt key on front door. He showed me and my wife how to program the new lock so she would feel comfortable with the touch deadbolt my new bright idea. In these times were living in now its hard to find a business thats offering a service and they make you feel like a priority. Well I'm here to tell you Install A Lock made us feel that way today. Jerry arrived on time and tended to the numerous issues our front door lock had. He pointed out the ways that it had been abused over the years, and explained what he was doing as he made fixes. Now the lock is working smoothly again, and with proper new keys it's a cinch to operate. Jerry was able to repair the lock mechanism, handles, and strike plate without the need for major new parts - saving money. He even gave us a better door chain to install. We're quite happy with his service and would make hm our first call in the future.

They did a really great job, offered additional service that I was going to do anyway. You could also tell that they have a lot of experience in this field and that is what you want.

I contacted Install a Lock at about 9PM and left a message. For security reasons, I needed my lock changed ASAP. My call was returned within minutes. I was told someone would call me at 8AM the following morning to set up an appointment. I was called at exactly 8AM, as promised. I explained that I needed my lock changed ASAP. We set up an appointment for 10AM, and the locksmith was there even before 10. Very polite and professional. I have no idea what a fair price is for this service, but at the time I had a pressing need to get it done fast, and this company delivered on that request. Would definitely recommend them.

Jerry gave me a fair estimate and followed through with the work. He arrived in his fully-equipped mobile lock-shop van to do the work. I have three entrances to my home, and two of the door locksets were malfunctioning. The third was on a separate key. He repaired one set, replaced another and keyed all three alike - locksets and dead bolts. I now have three working doors with a single key. He did such a fast and reasonably priced job that I sent him directly over to my son's new home in our town. They were just moving in and needed to change locks and keys. He did a great job for them too.

No problem -- the guys from Install A Lock showed up as promised and made new keys for my four existing locks within 1/2 hour. Great job. I would highly recommend them and, if I ever need a locksmith again I will definitely give them a call.

I had reached out to Jerry at IALocksmith. He was very accessible and accepted photos of the existing doors on email -- I got very good advice on the types of locks and knobs to buy, so that I had all my equipment ordered with the right make/model/color way before they got here. IALockmith team arrived on time and were extremely professional in their approach. They cleaned up their work areas and gave us additional suggestions for our porch doors as well.

We had to have our locks changed fairly quickly. My wife forgot her keys at a friends who sent it back to us via UPS. The package containing the keys "accidently" got opened at the UPS facility (the outer envelope plus an in inner padded envelope somehow were opened by some machine (their words) at their facility. On a side note we will never use UPS again). So our house keys and our address were out in the open for hours, enough time to make a copy. This happened on Dec. 23. The next day Install a Lock came over and re-pinned 5 of our locks and made several sets of new keys for $260 in about an hour. They were very professional and I would use them again.
