INSTALL A LOCK

I just purchased a home in Baldwin NY, and Jerry was excellent, I called him last night and he was very pleasant, very professional, arrived first thing in the morning and was excellent in all his suggestions. I am very happy with all his prices, and his work, will definitely use his services again. THANK YOU !!!!

I spoke to Jerry Sunday after our front door knob ended up in my husband's hand! He was able to come the next day (Monday) in the evening, which accommodated our work schedules. He replaced the lock set on our front door and gave various options (e.g., to do just the bottom knob/lock not the deadbolt, etc.) and the prices for those options. He was upfront about the service call fee, which is reduced for Angie's list members. He worked quickly and neatly and was friendly and easy to talk to. Apparently the locks installed when we moved in a couple of years ago were rather cheap. He pointed out aspects of the new locks which make them a much better quality and durable. He made a few sets of duplicate keys for us on his truck as well. I would definitely use Install "A" Lock again and will recommend them to family and friends!

Tech came and assessed the problem. Ordered the part and promptly installed. Very professional and friendly. Punctual and extremely accommodating. Definitely would use this company again and would have no problem recommending them to others. Fair price for a job well done

It was a pleasure to have Jerry come over and install the 2 locks on my front door. Jerry is very friendly and open! He is also the best at what he does. Before he started the job he knew what type of door I had, what type of locks I needed and etc. In addition, he is very open and easy to talk to about everyday stuff, plus to make it better he's a Mets fan! 8p I would recommend anyone and everyone to have Jerry come over with any lock issues or installation.

Jerry was very nice and easy to work with from the beginning. He was prompt, available, and precise. He explained and even showed us our options, didn't make us feel like we were being pressured to purchase up. We feel we got a great product that would keep us secure. I felt that they were a little pricey. It was not a difficult job, so anyone could have done it, probably for less.

The front door on the home I just moved into was in dire need of an upgrade, it felt like anyone who knew basic karate could easily just kick it in. The lock was about 50 years old and custom fit for the door, so it couldn't be changed. But these guys did a couple of things to the lock and it now feels like I have a real front door. May not even need to replace it, potentially saving me a significant amount of money. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience. Extremely professional. Responded immediately to my call, made appointment very promptly, showed up exactly on time, and stayed for as long as it took to do the whole job right, which was about 4 hours. Explained everything he was doing, offered me choices and helpful suggestions. As discussed above, he voluntarily suggested a creative solution to the problem of giving one of the new keys to the contractors by teaching me how to switch out an old deadbolt for a new one myself, even though it meant he would not get the extra business of coming out to switch out the old deadbolt for the new one once the contractor work was done. I would recommend him to anyone and will absolutely use again next time I need any help with a lock of any kind.

Our front door and lock are original to the home, and we had no luck finding an appropriate replacement mortise lock when ours finally fell apart recently. We had decided to order an entirely new front door, but called this company as a last ditch effort because of the positive Angie's List reviews. Not only were Jerry and his associates incredibly responsive and pleasant to deal with, but they made an effort beforehand to eliminate the need for a return visit/extra charges by requesting pictures of the lock via email and discussing exactly what we wanted. We were able to keep the original decorative pieces and the nice old wooden door as a result. Prompt, professional, and courteous - I'd use them again in a heartbeat!

Punctual, polite and professional. Did not try to "oversell" my needs. After being paid, as a courtesy, he installed an outside doorknob that I had bought earlier but could not figure out how to install myself.

Very professional locksmith! Definitely not one that play games & ripe you off!!

Overall, a very good job. I gave a low grade for punctuality because nobody showed up for an hour, at which point I called and found the guy taking my call scheduled it on the wrong day. To his credit, the locksmith arrived shortly there after. He quickly did exactly what I wanted (repair a very old lock) and didn't try to up-sell me a more expensive fix. No complaints at all about the work - the guy obviously knows his trade. The price was reasonable, too.

He gave he many options and suggested the most cost effective alternatives. He was very professional in installing the new locks. I am very please with the job.

The initial message from me to the company was returned quickly and all prices were clearly explained. On the day of the scheduled appointment, I received a phone call providing me with an approximate arrival time. After arrival, all work was efficiently and professionally completed. It was apparent that this is a company that strives to please new customers. Install a Lock will be my first choice for any future work I may need. I am pleased to recommend them.

I just moved to a new home in the Jericho/Westbury/Brookville area and hired Install-a-Lock based on the recommendations at Angie's List...I was not disappointed! Jerry was incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous -- I wanted a secure setup and Jerry did not disappoint with his installation on a multi-lock high security lock system.

They have never actually done service for me, however the gentleman that I spoke with was so helpful. He told me rather than coming out to the house and paying for the service call that I should first try the WD40 and if it didn’t help to give them a call back. I thought it was wonderful that they didn’t just go ahead and charge me the money for the service call. After we got off the phone, I did what he told me and sure enough it worked just fine and it didn’t cost me anything. In the future, if I need any locksmith work I wouldn’t hesitate to call them after this excellent experience.

Mike, the locksmith was exactly on time. He worked on the door to adjust its alignment as it was very old. He was pleasant and friendly to my husband and to me. Mike worked quickly, supplying the locks and installing them. The price was reasonable and Angie’s list coupon accepted.
