NO ONE ever called or responded to my service request.

just fine. turns out we have 3 channels and i'm not sure which one was actually cleaned but seemed all good.

at first I was impressed and bought right into the sales pitch, " we are insured , bonded, and stand behind our work 100 %, we are on Angie's list with a high rating". I liked the person that actually did the work. After someone asked who did the work and pointed out that one of the caps was crooked I started taking pictures . Then a few days later I received a phone call and notice from the city to inform me that I would be facing a fine because a permit was not obtained. This led to the owner actually coming to the house after resolving the issue with the city. While speaking to him I remarked that I was impressed with his company but thought that they were a bit pricey. He then quoted an amount for the stainless steel used for the liners. This amount was quite different from the amount quoted previously. These two incidents should have been my first clues to trust my instincts regarding the over sell. Now fast forward to a terrible No'r easter a approx. a month later. It 's raining in my home! The water was dripping down the chimney on the inside and from the ceiling all around the edges of the chimney. We get cloths and a bucket to catch the water for the night. I take pics and call the next day to inform North American chimney what happened. I was promptly spoken down to " well you know we are in the middle of a No'reaster '. to which I replied " I've never had this happen before ever ". To their credit they sent someone out a few days later. This person recognized that it in fact was caused by the crooked and lifted flashing and shingles. He also apologized a few time saying that his company would stand by their work. He said he was going to call his boss and take pics, which he did. I asked if he could do something immediately because we were facing another storm and I would end up with more damage. After speaking with his boss he came back and said that he could place tar over the flashing for now and would do it on both chimneys just in case. Although the idea of lead flashing was so that tar wouldn't be used. So then he said his boss would call on Friday ( this was Tues.) to discuss what needed to be done and apologized again on behalf of his co.. They would do whatever I needed because they stand behind they'r work. Impressed again. Then I look up at the chimneys the next day. He put the tar on only one of them ! Friday passed , it's Wed. I call and after several phone calls and excuses it's the next Fri. I finally get to speak with the owner who informs me that we've had a really bad winter and that my chimneys are deteriorating and there are gaps in the bricks ! Didn't I jut have them repaired ? No the chimneys need to be rebuilt. I ask so you are not going to repair my ceiling and wall on the inside. (reply) No your chimneys need to be rebuilt . I said but I've never had this problem before the chimneys were repaired! He said " I'll absolutely cooperate with with you , I'll give you a price on repointing the chimneys ! I hung up . We'll see if they show up on the twenty first to replace the flashing, an appointment previously set with one of his people during one of the many phone calls in between our conversation.

Great! They not only cleaned the chimney but they also drew my attention to a nearly clogged exhaust flue for the furnace. No.other company had ever done that and it could've been deadly if not taken care of! They did try to sell me a flue pipe that was over priced and all I needed to do is get the shop vac out and clean it out.

In an industry where there are many who take advantage and are not to be trusted, these folks did exactly what the job called for. No overselling. Very professional. I really didn't trust anyone after all the stories you hear but I must say, two gentlemen came in last August and worked quickly and efficiently. They cleaned everything up and let all spotless. I would call them back again. I was actually delightfully surprised.

You know a service is more than excellent when you want to write a great review right after its done! Steve from North American C&G was right on time, very professional, very detailed in what needed to be done with our inspection and cleaning. His whole crew was thoughtful about cleaning up or tracking dirt around the house, you wouldn't even guess it had been done. There was no attempt at unnecessary service upsell and provided excellent, detailed info on best practices, what type of wood to burn to reduce issues and what kind of chimney we had. This was purchased as an Angie's deal and im happy to pay regular price in future to have them come back for my yearly inspections or any issues. Highly recommended!

Badly. Workers were nasty to me and my wife for no reason. We will never deal with an out of state company again. Just to be mean, they squashed our stainless steel cap over the flue. We had to buy another cap and have a local company install it. What a waste. We complained and went to mediation with Angie's. We gave a negative review. We eventually got our Discover credit for the sweep. Our negative review was removed! This is not fair!

It went very well. The workers were prompt and they alerted me to potential future chimney issues but were not pushy to get the issue fixed immediately like other companies. I would hire again.

Chris and his partner did a fantastic job. They described and walked me through the entire work process, which made me feel much more comfortable. Both, very respectable individuals.

They were very honest. Told me the type of chimney I had did not need to be cleaned.

It went well. Chris showed up on time and got right to work. He took photographs of the inside of the chimney / pipes and explained what he had done and issues to keep an eye on in the future. He answered my questions competently and I was satisfied with the service.

Service was great! This is my second time using this company and I was again, very pleased. I needed a chimney inspection while under contract for a new house purchase. They were able to come, with very short notice, and did a thorough inspection, providing me with a list of needed structural repairs to be completed by the sellers. They were prompt, efficient, professional and reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to other customers!

I was extremely happy with the manager Rich, he did explain and show pictures of all the work that had to be done,inside as well as outside. He and his helper Ryan were very professional and courteous. I would recommend Rich over and over again, he took pride in his work and made sure all my questions were answered, and any concern I had.

Went well, Paid a little extra for patching the chimney where bats were finding a way in. Cost me an additional $150 for what Pest Control wanted $2,500 for. ;)

The rental house had a sliding chimney on the roof. that was fixed as well. My house wound up with 3 flues, an old pipe from an old wood burning stove was sticking out in the main flue that was not allowing the stainless steel insert to go all the way down. Somehow the workmen got it out of the way without having to knock down my kitchen wall. A real cliff hanger. The price was for both properties,my house & my rental house.
