Liars, completely unprofessional, making more damage than necessary. Had a water heater water leak, called the home warranty and they sent a plumber(he probably get's a cut from ERX) which "recommended" ERX. They came over and said not to worry, everything will be taken care of, mitigation and rebuild and said that at the end they will cover your insurance deductible. After you give them to go ahead, you are doomed. They are rude, unprofessional, dirty. The damage was in the garage, they removed the walls in the garage, than unnecessarily ripped out cabinets in the kitchen claiming there was a damage(now I know they were trying to make a buck). They stole the kitchen cabinets that they removed, counting on the rebuild. After couple days they came and took back the fans, than were suppose to schedule the rebuild. kept on postponing and scheduling than not show up, wasting my time waiting for them. After almost 4 months of the house being damaged, part of the kitchen is missing, and me calling them and emailing them trying to get this done and get them paid off, they decide to refuse to rebuild leave leave me hanging to dry telling me to look for someone else to do the work... *** ?!?!?! Now after 6 months, they called asking me to pay them for the mitigation(which they are not deserved because they damaged the place more than did any good) and the lady on the phone was loud and rude kept on cutting me off and ignoring what was agreed upon. I told her that even tho they don't deserve it I would pay what was agreed, the cost minus my deductible as they promised, but she was rude and kept on telling me the discount was "on the rebuild" which they cancelled !!! I told her that wasn't what was agreed, and that the discount was on the mitigation if I agree to do the rebuild, and she kept on getting pissy than hung up on me ! Now my lawyer is looking into it and we'll make sure they don't get away with it.

They tore apart what they claimed had been water damage to some sheet rock, and molding. Set up all these fans and dehumidifiers. A bit of an overkill to sat the least. Never came back to repair and I don’t want them back in my home. Bad people. Beware!!

We got a recommendation from a plumber we found here on Angies list. Talked to a man named Chris and another Brian who came over to the condo to access the damage. We had a leak in the shower area. We agreed on a price, they sent another young man over to sign the contract. They even said they would help me out with the insurance deductible of $500.00 (SO DONT BELIEVE THEM ON THAT LIE EITHER BECAUSE THEY DO NOT) They promised it could be done with in the next 2 weeks. They ripped everything out of the bathroom in order to dry it out. They removed toilet bathtub shower area. Never called me back to finish the restoration they started! Everytime I tried calling them they would either get back to me. or I didnt get any answer to my voice messages! They did not come pick up their equipment for 2-3 weeks now they are trying to charge me $8,000.00 just for drying the bathroom they tore apart and never came to restore and for late return of their equipment that they no showed on the appointment they arranged to come pick up. THEY ARE NOW TRYING TO PUT A LIEN AGAINST MY CONDO, even though my insurance company paid $4,000.00 to them for their drying out the condo and tearing it apart. nothing more. They got $4,000.00 for JUST THAT. More then the price they quoted me on the first day to do the entire restoration. ??WHAT?? I know huh?? Now they are trying to lien my condo for another $8,000.00 AND GUESS WHAT that was in Oct this is Jan and I still am unable to find another restorer to come in and fix it because they do not want to finish the work and be held responsible for something the other company ERX might have done wrong or failed to do. So my bathroom is still torn apart and this company has the gall to try to lien my condo for another 8,000.00 They never sent me an itemized bill or any bill for that matter after not being able to contact them for 2 1/2 months out of the blue I get a lien notice on my condo delivered to me in Dec! So now I guess I have to get a lawyer to fight that too. So this company is costing me a bathroom in middle of renovation, 4,000.00 paid and now another 8,000.00 lien + lawyer costs to get this lien lifted !!! DO NOT I WARN YOU DO NOT EVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL ROB YOU, THEY WERE NOT EVEN ON TIME FOR THE APPT THEY MADE TO COME AND DESTROY MY BATHROOM. ONLY BAD CAN COME OUT OF HIRING THIS COMPANY!!! I

My experience with ERX was exceptional. Brian, came over and he saw the state of my kitchen and informed me that, although they would try to save my granite tile countertops, it was not likely. It was probable that we would wind up having to replace all of the kitchen counters because granite, being a natural stone, is impossible to match. So we did have to change the counters so we took the opportunity to upgrade. Brian, Chris and Kevin, our job superintendent, all said we could do whatever we wanted as far as replacing the counters and they meant it. We chose a material that ERX didn?t work with and they were more than willing to work with the other contractor. In the beginning, I asked how long the whole project might take. I was given an average length of time of about three weeks start to finish. But because I chose to order counters elsewhere, it extended the job time another two weeks. Even though my job took a lot longer, I never got any complaints or pushback on what I wanted to do. They patiently waited for me to arrange what I wanted and then worked around it. And just because I went through an alternate vendor for my countertops, which cost them money, the quality of work from ERX never suffered. Kevin was my go-to guy for questions or any perceived issues that came up. He gave us realistic expectations and good advice making decisions as far as what we wanted to do ourselves to save money or not, and was forever patient. They even corrected a major structural issue with my cabinetry that was not affected by the broken disposal. The drywall guys, Alex and Mario, Manny the cabinet guy, Paco the demo guy, and Lito the trim and touch up guy and every other employee that came through our door was professional, neat, efficient and friendly. They were completely transparent about all charges and even juggled some costs to reduce my deductible. In all ways, working with ERX was an excellent experience and if I ever need their services again, I would hire them in a heartbeat.

Worst company ever. Chris and mike manipulate you into signing their contract so they can begin work. Then you find out its not covered by your insurance company, which they said it would, and your left with a huge bill for unfinished work. Please if your reading this review and its not to late, do not go with them. If you don't believe read other reviews.

I am an out-of-state owner of a rental property. In the past, I always used my property management company's vendors for various repair jobs just for convenience. I am so glad I found Emergency Restoration this time, which was recommended to me by MC Plumbing. I felt disappointed when my tenant reported that the shower leak problem happened again despite previous repair. I felt even more frustrated when I heard from my tenant that the previous vendor put bathroom tiles on top of wood directly instead of putting the tiles on the hardiebacker board. I knew I had to find a trustworthy company myself this time. I signed up for Angie's list just for this. After I contacted Emergency Restoration, an inspection of the damage was done immediately. To my pleasant surprise the repair work was scheduled very promptly after I agreed to the work contract. I really want to resolve this issue for my tenant as soon as possible. Knowing this is a rental property, Emergency Restoration scheduled the appointments with my tenant directly which saved me time. During the whole process, I was kept informed of the work progress and potential issues. I was even given a choice to choose tile type and grout color. I feel the repair team is so detailed oriented and meticulous. I really appreciated the fact that they sent me before and after photos knowing that I couldn't be there to see the final result. Everyone I interacted with has been so professional and courteous. I want to especially thank Chris, Bill and Jennifer. I am very satisfied with the final result, and I am so happy I chose Emergency Restoration. For the price, quality of work and service, I wouldn't hesitate to use Emergency Restoration again in the future. I give Emergency Restoration my highest recommendations!

I, unfortunately, will be echoing some entries from other members posted on September and June with regards to responsiveness and punctuality. This entire ordeal was very upsetting since I had just purchased this home a few months ago and came home to a water spot on my ceiling. MC Plumbing discovered the leak from the bad wax ring on the upstairs toilet and recommended ERX. It took a couple of calls to get ERX scheduled to start and I was told this would take 3-4 weeks. The crew came as scheduled and proceeded to cut the ceiling out and the floor in the bathroom. It would have been nice if the guys would have used booties, so now I have the carpets to get cleaned too. Oh Yippy! They did their work and I even bought them a pizza lunch since it was a long day. I was told that two days having the fans and dehumidifiers with ERX picking them up on Friday. I never heard from anyone, so I called Chris Thursday night asking when they would be here on Friday, I was given a time frame between 4-6 pm. Friday evening at 5:45 I called Chris and he said they should be at my home shortly. An hour later they showed up and tore down the plastic, picked up the equipment (wore booties this time, thank you) and left close to 8:00 pm. During this entire week that my house was in remediation/mitigation, they should have scheduled me with the rebuild. Instead I am notified that they are "heavily booked" and now instead of a 3 -4 weeks it turned into a 6 plus weeks and no guarantee that my home would be put back together by Thanksgiving. This was not an option, so I went with another company who will have my home complete in a couple weeks. Although I have given ERX a B rating overall, price and quality, my above situation gives them a D rating on responsiveness and punctuality making my decision to not use ERX in the future. UPDATED: November 7 - Thank you Chris for responding, however, please speak with your office people as this is where my information about starting between Nov 6 and 10 and not being able to complete by Thanksgiving. Your project super., Kevin, also confirmed the potential start dates and completion. Fabricating a review is something that I do not do.

They were recommended to us by MC Plumbing after they installed a new water heater. They came in and put about half a dozen of blower machines to dry everything out. They were here instantly when the three days were up to pick up their machines. They didn’t contact me back regarding the restoration process. I had left many messages and they finally sent someone out a week later to take the measurements. They were supposed to get back to me with a quote on replacing the drywall and they have still not gotten back into contact with me. They did a great job with the drying service. However, they never did the restoration services. There are still plastic barriers hanging up and the smell from the damage is there. I am very unsatisfied with the lack of service from this company.

Though I gave low scores on Responsiveness and Punctuality, their Price, Quality, and Professionalism made up for it in the end, and though I would consider using these guys again in the future, I will probably try another company first before doing so. In any case, I'm fine with recommending them to a friend (given their strengths) but these guys would be perfect if they could address some of the communication and scheduling problems. Overall, everyone was extremely professional. Especially Chris, who came to look at the damage and give an estimate. No insurance was used in this case (I paid out of pocket) and asked if they could help save costs in certain areas (e.g. avoid painting, since I did this on my own, and then just do the necessities without going overboard--meanwhile providing a thorough remediation). The detailed estimate came in that evening and looked reasonable. Basically, out of three quotes, they came in second in price, which I didn't pick the cheapest, since the cheaper guys were a bit sketchy. Anyway, the team came to tear away the damaged walls, setup fans, apply anti-mold agent, and haul away stuff. They arrived early in the morning and got the job done in a matter of hours. Once everything was dry, they picked up the fans and the whole first phase was done. No problems there. Any frustrations started to arise when it came time to do the restoration and rebuild work. One thing I feel they could have done better is have the scheduling worked out ahead of time, and also know when everything would take place and be completed. I think any customer having their walls and kitchen torn out will want to know how long it was take to endure the transition. Luckily, I was able to get it worked out, but I had to contact a couple of different people in the office on my own to work this out, and I feel it would have been better if they had done it all ahead of time. The wall restoration and texturing was done punctually (about a week after the walls were removed) but the cabinet work for the kitchen took almost a month before anyone was able to show up to complete that, and I never really got a hard date on when they could come. This was the most frustrating part, in my case, because I didn't really hear anything on the progress of the date. I had to keep calling each week, where I was told to expect them "next week," but they were never really certain. One day I had expected on the estimated date, they did not show, and no one called to let me know they wouldn't be able to make it. Again, I had to call them. I was told their cabinet workers were heavily booked, which I can understand, but to have the scheduling pushed back several weeks seemed unusual since I've never seen another project go so long unexpectedly, coupled with me having to call them to get the updates. But once everything was done, I was happy with the end result. It's been several months since the work was completed and everything is fine. The cabinets and walls blend in almost perfectly. You would not know there had been damage there.

We were very impressed. They did exactly what they said they would do and we always knew what to expect. I would definitely recommend them.

I was promised a temporary sink so I would not be without the use of my kitchen, reminded them 3 separate times, and never received the sink. They didn't have the right baseboard when they first came to do the repairs. Then, when they returned, they still didn't have the right material and had to go get it. This seemed particularly inefficient when they had removed the original baseboard and could have used it as a sample. The work that was done was done very well. The delays and inconvenience of not receiving the sink, while not life-changing, were irritating. I did not feel that their customer service attitude was good. I'm old-fachioned enough for that to matter. Their work was more than satisfactory, but the overall experience was not.

We were extremely happy and satisfied with the work and customer service we received! They worked quickly and efficiently. They were very accommodating, pleasant, and professional. They arrived in a timely manner, even though it was after normal business hours. They worked well with our tenant and kept us up to date on the progress of the situation. They even drove to our home to help with the insurance claim so I did not have to get my children out of bed. They answered all our questions and communicated well about the process and timeline. They were very honest and true to their word! We decided to utilized them for the repair side since the mitigation process went well. This was also a good experience. They worked with our homeowners insurance company. Again they communicated well and made the process smooth. Bill, who was in charge of the construction supplies was very professional and pleasant. We appreciate that he was so nice in helping us get the flooring we wanted. He made an extra effort to get us the quality we wanted for the budget we were allowed. He made several trips right to our home to show us samples. They work was completed right on schedule and the quality was good! All the employees we communicated with at the office were very pleasant too. Thank you Erica and Christina! The overall experience was very good, considering it was a stressful and unpleasant event. Thank goodness for insurance though! We do not have a lot of knowledge about the drying out process and water damage in general, but it seemed quite expensive. We assume it was fair though, as the insurance company was agreeable and covered the bills promptly and without a hassle. We will definitely recommend Emergency Restoration to family and friends!

After the work was completed, the nightmares began. It is 1 1/2 years and I am still receiving harassing calls and emails from Emergency Restoration Experts. Instead of working with the Insurance company as he promised, Emergency Restoration Experts immediately claimed that my Insurance company will not pay for the work and proceeded to threaten me with default payment. When I called my Insurance company to ask why the work was not covered, they informed me that Emergency Restoration Experts did not provide proper documentation. They gave Chris a detailed list of what needed to be provided. When I called Chris, his response was "I don't have time for this bureaucracy. You owe me money." Then, he had his team sent emails and called my family to threaten lawsuits, putting a lien on my house, etc. After 1 1/2 years, Emergency Restoration Experts finally sent the proper documents to my Insurance company and were paid.However, it doesn't stop. Now, I owe Emergency Restoration Experts "penalties" because I did not pay on time. Again, the immediate position of Chris and his team is that I will be sued and liens will be put on my house. Please, if there is one thing you should never do, never work with Emergency Restoration Experts.

I was told on March 13, 2013 that if we had them do the work, that they would accept the insurance check for settlement. They NEVER gave a discount for belonging to "Angie's List". On April 15, 2013, the Emergency Restoration employee told me that I have to sign the Work Completion Certificate, BEFORE he did the final inspection. Then he gave me the written invoice for $2,300, and told me that I was responsible for paying the difference between his final invoice and what the insurance company paid. THIS IS IN DIRECT CONTRAST TO WHAT HE PREVIOUSLY TOLD ME. THIS IS A "BAIT AND SWITCH" TRANSACTION.

Job was completed beyond our expectations. I would use them again.

they got the job done well with little envolvement from us. decided i wanted to be more hands on in the repairs, so i hired individual contractor that I used before. I did use an Angies List Plumber.

If you decide to use this Emergency Restoration Experts, be prepared for frustration due to poor communication on the part of management. The company was recommended by MC Plumbing when I called them for leak detection. I have no complaint about quality of the work. The laborers were very skilled, showed up on time, and worked diligently. They dried it up, and did the repairs, although it took about 6 weeks to finish, including one full week when the employee(s) had planned time off. (I found out by phone call when they told me they planned to work all day Saturday and Sunday - this was NOT acceptable to me. They had access to the house all day every day of a normal work week.) They did additional repairs in another bathroom, and that was completed in a timely fashion. The communication problem there was about the tile color. I walked in and found them laying white tile when the bathroom was beige. They had to pull it all back out. No one talked to me about the color, so I assumed they would put in the same as the existing. Huge mistake on my part! Anyway, this company is small, and I think you should keep this in mind if you think about using them. If your job is small, they are probably okay. But if you are talking 2 rooms or more, be very very careful. Learn form my mistake :(

To anyone looking for help, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will leave the work half-done and attempt to rip off $$$. Any communication is completely on their terms; no sense of customer service. They have internal personnel problems that further complicate things. They will promise you one thing, then ignore you until you contact them. They promised to get me an estimate for repairs and did not respond. They insisted on knowing how much $$$ my insurance company gave me, then performing the work in a hurry without an estimate. A month has gone by and my place is still torn-up; which is a contant reminder of their incompetence. Chris and Greg seem to be "in charge;" do not believe anything they say. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

They seemed expensive but our insurance paid. I would give them overall an A.

They were recommended by Union Plumbing when my water heater burst. They came out fairly quickly, but did an excessive amount of work that was not required and used an excessive amount of dryers that were not needed. Just to be able to charge more since I was claiming it through insurance. Once they tore everything apart they were gone. They made 4 large holes in the walls to dry out the inside. The holes were made higher than necessary and destroyed the paint job, they could have made the holes a lot lower in order to be covered by baseboards. I asked when things were being taken apart if they also the ones to help with the repairs, they responded with yes. They came by a week later to remove their dryers and I never heard from them again till I received a large bill in the mail. Felt very taken advantage of.

They were very good, professional and know what they were doing. They were very nice and I just liked them. I will use them again in the future.
