Did not trim trees like they have in past, they suddenly can not stand on a ladder to trim trees, workman's comp issue, did not tell me that til after they did a poor job of trimming trees, waste of money ! So much for tree service ! Taking advantage of a senior citizen who lives alone !

I called Turf Trimmers and originally got the answering machine. Within a half hour I received a call back from Ron or Dave. Not quite sure who it was as the phone connection wasn't great. He left the telephone # and said that he would call me back or I could call them back. I chose to call their office back and I spoke with Tommy. A very friendly voice and personality. I told Tommy that I needed a quote for desert landscaping clean up front and back. I need blowing of pine trees that have dropped needles and shrubs that need trimming. He gave me a quote that to me, was too high. He said part of the reason his price was at that level was because blowing pine needles required a lot of time. I understood but my previous guy was no where in the price range Turf Trimmers was charging. However, he also gave me a suggestion and another option. I should contact a lawn service company that comes into our subdivision already. Landscapers come into my subdivision by the dozen at least on a weekly or monthly basis. It might be worth it economically. I agreed and that's where we left things. I asked as a courtesy if he would not mind setting my sprinkler timer and he did so w/o hesitation. He also gave me useful information about several shrubs and plants of mine that were lacking in water and, the fact that some plants were in direct sunlight was not good. That they should be moved. He also did a quick fix of one or two of my drips. One had a hole in it. One of the rabbits had chewed through it. I never noticed it. I thanked Tommy for his quote and his kindness for setting the timer and repairing the drip thingy. I simply could not afford his service's. To date I am still looking. Must be bad time of year to be looking for a Landscaper, they all seem to be too busy in the summer...

This company was very resonably priced and the servicemen were nice people.

They retrenched and laid new piping for my drip irrigation system. They did a REALLY good job.I had a couple of quotes, and Turf Trimmers was by far the best price. They were punctual, and professional. I will absolutely use them in the future.

They have two divisions because they also do total design too which was done years ago. I have to tell you that there are two things I can say about them. They give you the highest quality service. They show up on time. There is one particular worker who we insist on getting. His name is Pedro and he has been with them for years. Now the only thing I can disagree with them on is that I think they might be pricier than others, but for me it is worth it because I have a larger lot than most people and I have a fairly large backyard with big trees and stuff like that and we are very picky and they get the things done. In the end, I know I might be paying more, but their reliability is excellent. There is an ongoing problem in the Las Vegas area of unlicensed landscapers and also landscapers that show up once or twice and you never hear from them again. We were warned when we first got everything put it. We were warned that it was going to be a problem and we went through about 3 landscapers until we got this one. So I totally rely upon them and what is nice also is that the owner or the brother in law who works in a partnership with him. They come out first. They give me the estimate on what work we want to have done and price never goes up. The price never goes up. There is things that I don't want them to hear and I will tell you what they are. Again, they are a little pricier than others. I consider them worth it. They only like to get paid by check and if you want to pay by credit card, it is Visa or MasterCard and they take a certain percentage and they add it on for running the credit card. I don't agree with them on that, but they are too good to let go of. Because also in hard times like this past time, we got an income tax bill that was just outrageous. We have never paid such a high bill before. I asked them if I could pay him twice. In other words, instead of paying it when it is due on the 15th, he is letting me make two payments. One on the 15th and one on the 30th. It helps my budget a lot and he is very reasonable about that. I think he is with his long standing customers. He called me up about two weeks ago and he said you no Bob I have been looking at your records. We haven't put a preemergent for weeds in a couple of years. We have got to get that in there. So he said, since you have been having problems, how about we after May 1st because they bill on the 30th or the 15th of the next month. So I get basically a month and a half to pay for it. So we work together and that is a good thing for me. So I highly recommend him.

It was terrible, the were not punctual, nor professional. The owner was rude, and when questioned on work not done, or work promised, but not done, he got irrational, irate, insulting, and plain rude. They were supposed to totally red our irrigation system, and three days later, there were leaks, and upon fixing those, approximately every week, they had to come back and repair their supposedly redone irrigation, which seems they only repaired the system that was there. They made a mess of our valve. They were messy in their work, and left things unfinished. The did not plant the plants they said they were going to plant, because they kept saying they were looking for said plants, and after 4 weeks, without plants in 3 various locations,they finally brought other plants that were supposedly of equal value. This would not be a company that I would promote.

See above, it was awful, the attitude, the work, the work they told us they were going to do, wasn't the work they did.

I was not at all happy with them. They overcharged a lot. I wasn't pleased with them, but the things are alive that they planted. I had to call them a couple of times. He had a crummy attitude.

I called the owner, who had overcharged me for work done on 3/31/09. I told him I had a lot of weeds in the rock garden that had been cleared of weeds on March 31. He said everyone had weeds and he needed to come out again and give another quote. He did, and said it was a lot of work working the weed preventer into the soil and the weed preventer was very expensive(it costs $8.00 for an 8 lb. bag.) And he was going to do a few things overlooked the month prior. The quote was for $300 plus the weed preventer ($75.00). I said that was extremely expensive, and the weed killer/preventer should have been done when they were out the previous month and I wouldn't have to have it done again. I asked that he do the rock garden work only because I would not be home to supervise and I didn't think it necessary to be there for that. His worker was out on May 1, 2009. When I got home on Monday, May 4, there was a bill from Turf Trimmers dated April 30, 2009 (before any work was done) for $285 + $75 for weed preventer. I checked the rock garden - the weeds were pulled, but the weed preventer was apparently just sprinkled on the ground surface. Being on the canyon, it blows away and the birds eat it, as he was informed previously. I called to protest the bill - his worker was there less than 1 hour. He said, in effect, "Too bad, that's what I charge for that" So I sent the original bill back and asked for a revised billing. It came, with a revised amount of $250.00. In one month and one day, I have paid $735 with very little to show for it.

They have expert knowledge and the workers are clean. They come over on a phone calls notice. They are professional and reasonably priced.

They always make sure that everything is okay. They are on time and plan ahead. Whatever they say is usually right on the ball. I am pleased with the service and I would recommend them to anyone.

Turf Trimmers Land advertised that they had a group of knowledgeable and professional people working for them however that was not the case. They haven't provided us with anything outside of questionable results and I will leave it at that. I wouldn't suggest people using them unless they are open to having a job done numerous times. When it comes to lawns and landscaping, they get failing grades in all aspects.

Turf Trimmers Land is a pretty good company to do business with. We haven't had problems with any of their work or any of their plants dying. In fact, we have recommended them to others needing this type of work done. The crew was very easy to work with. I feel that they were very courteous and friendly.
