It was not the best experience. They charged me 3 times more than what they said they were going to charge me. They charged me about $13000, I was not happy. I would not use them. They had my mattresses on the outside, and they got wet. There were a few pieces which were broken. They told me that they would take 2 weeks, and they took 4 weeks.
Description of Work: I used Triple 7 from Last Vegas. We had furniture there, so we used them to move it to Texas.

I know that everyone says this, but I never write reviews for anything. However, our recent move with Triple 7 Movers from Nevada to Arizona far exceeded our expectations so I needed to write a real review so that people can see what they will get with Triple 7 Movers. Our 5 bedroom home in Nevada was hard to say goodbye to, but the time came to move on to bigger career opportunities in another state. We actually inherited the home from my wife's parents, so it was an especially difficult decision to make. When we finally did sell the house and started researching movers, we found that process to be even more challenging than selling and leaving the house! But thank goodness for Triple 7 Movers. When we first spoke with them, we were very impressed at how patient and understanding they were. Their process for giving quotes is to take down a full list of items you will be moving so they can offer you an accurate price. At first, we thought it was smarter to have someone come out to our home to visually estimate everything, but we quickly learned that even having that done was not the safest way to get an estimate. We never would have guessed that those "in-home estimates" were just a way for the company to stick you with an estimate based off of their guess as to how much everything in your home weighs. So even though Triple 7 Movers system takes a little longer, we felt very confident that our estimate was accurate. Another thing we really liked about Triple 7 Movers? service is that they took the time to explain to us how the actual move would work. We kind of thought that a truck would pick us up and drive straight out to Arizona. However, we learned that long distance moving is always done with multiple customers in a shipment to save money and make things logistically easier. It makes sense, but if they had not taken the time to walk us through this we would have never known and may have been upset by learning this when the move was taking place. We just wanted to know everything up front before we signed up, and Triple 7 Movers hid no information from us. They actually offered us information that we didn't know to ask for! It made us feel informed and that we could make safe decisions about our move. Another thing was that we assumed we had to do our own packing, because we guessed that the prices for a full pack of our home would be astronomical. They again took the time to give us several different estimates for their service, everything from their full packing service down to the option where we would pack everything ourselves. Knowing in full what we would be paying was another big issue for us; we didn't want any surprises! Once we booked our move with Triple 7 Movers we did our part to prepare. We got rid of some junk in closets and drawers, donated things to Salvation Army. I had no intention of paying to move junk! Once we completed this process, we realized we would probably wind up with fewer boxes that we originally estimated. Triple 7 Movers amended our estimate immediately after we notified them of this and sent us a revised move cost instantly. This was truly impressive and once again reassuring. That attention to detail and great customer service was what sold us on Triple 7 Movers in the first place. As a side note, I do feel bad for calling Triple 7 Movers almost daily before the pickup to ask questions. To my surprise, they were always cheerful and happy to help; they never seemed annoyed with my endless worrying. They were very knowledgeable, unlike a few other salespeople I spoke with at other companies who just seemed to be able to give prices but not really explain things or give advice based on experience in the industry. Move day was hectic but the movers were efficient and careful. We got to watch them in action and we definitely learned a thing or two from them about efficient packing! Not only did they do a great job but they showed us items that were damaged or they weren't sure we wanted to keep. Example: I had an older picture frame that was slightly broken but I loved it, when the movers went to wrap it they brought it to me to make sure that I knew it was damaged and asked me if I was sure that the frame was to be packed and moved. THAT is going above and beyond. Delivery day was exciting, but of course just as hectic as the pickup. But we did see the crew carefully cross-checking our inventory list from the pickup with what they were taking off of the truck. I double checked it myself (my wife was with the baby so she couldn't really be too hands-on with the move) and not one thing was missing. And not one thing was damaged, either! I really could go on about all of the good things that Triple 7 Movers does for its customers, but I feel like I?ve written a novel at this point. I hope that anyone reading this will give Triple 7 Movers a call for their move, I'm sure that they will give you the same outstanding service that we received. And just for the record, we are not filthy rich or famous or well connected. We are just normal people who needed movers. But apparently Triple 7 Movers gives all of their clients the celebrity treatment! Thank you again to everyone at Triple 7 Movers for making our move a success!

I guess you can say you get what you paid for. If you just have boxes or if you can pack your stuff up super well, maybe it would be worth it, but I wouldn't hire them again for delicate items.
Description of Work: We needed to move only a few things from Nevada to North Carolina. It filled a 10x10 moving space and was pretty easy. They were to pick it up from a storage unit and drop it off without having to set anything up. It was mostly boxes but the one thing I really cared about was my elliptical machine that I had just purchased a few months ago. I payed about $1200 for it and didn't want to let it go (main reason for the movers). It was cracked, missing pieces, not sitting evenly, and scratched all over. They didn't have much to do with this move and it was very upsetting to me to have such damage. I am trying to file a claim to have the damaged item fixed or replaced but haven't heard back from the representative yet. When I do, this review will be updated.

They shrink wrapped all of my furniture. They were very efficient and they were able complete the entire job within the time frame that was given through the deal. They were honest and they did a very good job. It was a fine experience. We are going to use their services again to move the contents from the storage unit to a home as well.

The move went very well. We requested two trucks, which came with three movers per truck, because we wanted the move to be completed as quickly as possible. We packed a lot of the goods ourselves, but left the glass furniture and art pieces for the movers to pack. The way that glass and art pieces were individually wrapped in bubble wrap and cardboard was impressive. We had never seen the degree of care taken to insure the pieces were not damaged. The move was completed efficiently, and the movers were professional, and were careful to wear "booties" so as not to dirty white carpeting in the master bedroom. Since we wanted to store some of the furniture temporarily in the garage, the excellent packing made it easy to store and not worry about it.

They did show up on time, but almost from the moment they walked in the door the team lead was mentioning a tip, and pressured me about a tip the whole time. When they started unloading my furniture into my new apartment, they told me the couch wasn't going to fit. I began worrying and told them they could try whatever they had to to get the couch in the door, so the lead guy told me that if I take care of them *wink wink* then they'd take care of me. I went to get their payment when I got a call from their office that they couldn't prove that the coupon I purchased on Angie's List was valid, and advised me to withdrawal full payment!!! They called me back about 10 minutes later and told me they were in fact able to verify the coupon, but that still made me so angry. Then, when I returned to my apartment I saw that they were still attempting to get the couch in the door. They said they would have to remove the legs, but they did not have their own tools to do so. They ended up tracking down a maintenance man in the building to borrow a screw driver. After an hour they still didn't get the couch in the door so it's just in my storage unit now. I fully understand that it's not their fault if a piece of furniture doesn't fit, but they didn't seem prepared to try, and they added insult to injury with the whole pressure to tip and almost losing my Angie's List coupon.

Triple7 seemed nice enough on the phone. I purchased the $150 for $250 deal, however this turned out to be a cleverly structured scheme that, if used, raised the hourly price of the overall service eliminating the $100 savings. Thanks Triple7. Allow me to preface the actual move. I purchased these services for my elderly mother who was moving from a 2-bedroom townhouse into a 4-bedroom detached home 14mi away. I scheduled the movers to arrive at 11am and planned for a six hour window, an amount of time Triple7 estimated three men would need. All was well and good. They arrived at my mother's home at 2:20 pm, a full three hours after the promised time and several "reassuring" phone calls that "all would be taken care of." Three men stepped from the truck, only one of which spoke English who's name was Rick, I believe, and they went to work surveying the items in the home and again, reassured my mother and her husband that none of it was a problem. Two and half hours later, their truck was full with about half of the home's belongings. They left. It took them twice as long than the average car to drive between properties, so keep that in mind when factoring cost, placing them at the new house at nearly 6pm. I received a phone call around 7 pm from my exasperated mother that the men were working at a snail's pace (especially Rick, who seemed more interested in paperwork than actual work) and fulfilled almost none of the promises they made. I asked to speak with Rick who explained to me that my mother was "having a heart attack" about where she wanted to have boxes placed. (Nice choice of words Rick, oh, and that's MY MOTHER you are speaking about.) There were also some excuses about why he could or couldn't move live plants from the original house when he had just told my mother the opposite. She called him on his flip-flopping. He then sent me an invoice for 9 hours, when they'd performed no more than 6. My mother was exhausted and wanted them out of the house. I asked that he reduce the hours and leave, which he fought against, bringing the total hours to eight, $200 more than I planned to pay--beware, they also tacked on eight wardrobe boxes ($20 each) for "loose" items, of which there were few; my mother had almost everything boxed prior. Now I'm left with half an unmoved house, $1000 out of pocket and two disgruntled elderly folks. Triple 7s? More like two cherries and a slap in the face.

I scheduled a multi-destination move with Triple 7 Movers. My initial contact with them was good -the sales person was responsive and thorough. While they were not the least expensive quote -they were among the most competitive. The move involved pick ups at 2 Northern California locations, a pickup in Salem, Oregon and the final move destination was Lincoln City, Oregon.In summary -most of my furnishings arrived in good condition, the initial pickup occurred on schedule and the company honored the price estimate. These were positives. The negatives were as follows: -after the deposit -there was little communication until the moving day. The move was handled by a different crew between California and Oregon. I had to call several times to determine when the delivery was going to be made. The committed, scheduled window (between April 19-April 21) was missed -with no call or contact. The company charged a $150 fee for the two extra pickups -however there was no room in the truck to handle the few pieces that needed to be moved from Salem to Lincoln CIty -yet I was charged anyway for the Salem stop anyway (note -Salem is on the way to Lincoln City) and Salem and Lincoln City are approximately 1 hour apart -however delivery to Lincoln City did not occur until the following day (April 23). After several calls and contact with the company -they agreed to credit $75 back to me. They also said they would compensate me $25.00 for each review I posted provided it was not-negative -I told them that was unacceptable -I was going to post honest reviews and the credit was far less important to me than my integrity. So this was a mixed bag. Other than initial communications -communications were not proactive and I believe the company should have credited back the Salem stop immediately -and additionally credited an additional amount due to the missed window and inconvenience caused that still is not rectified (there are still furnishings in Salem I need to move to Lincoln City.)

They kept saying they were going to bring my belongings back in two days. The lady in the office called and said that that my name was spelled wrong and that was why they could not locate my belongings. They still charged us the same amount for the work as if I had moved to Houston. Nothing was actually damaged, but it did take one week to get my belongings back to my apartment. The whole experience with them was awful. However, the movers themselves did as good job with the loading and unloading.
Description of Work: My father hired them to move all of my belongings to Houston from Henderson. Nevada. They moved 16 boxes and a bedroom set out of my apartment and into a truck. Two days later, we cancelled the move and had them move everything back.

When they found out I was not going to move my belongings with me, they gave me a discount on storage. They are allowing me to pay monthly until I come back. They have been very good so far. They have been very nice, professional, and helpful. Everything has been great!

We boxed up our house and had them load, move them in thier truck & unload. They warned us that they were not responsible for boxed they had not packed.... But I did not expect them to be as careless as they were. Many boxed were smashed open, and they taped them up, without telling us. I would NOT reccomend them! They were fast & hard workers, but not worth the damage.

The were professional and very careful with all of our belongings. I was truly amazed with their ability to get the most out of their truck space. We only had one small problem. I asked them to not put together my bed because I wanted to clean the floor first. I was told one of the guys had the screws in his pocket and to remind him to give them to me. We got distracted and he left with my screws. I left a message with the dispatcher but did not get a call back. I replaced them. It really wasn't his fault. Other than that it was a fantastic experience. Thank you so much for making a stressful time so much easier.

100% satisfied. Movers (Luiz, Marvin and Jose) were at the location promptly at 7:30am. They were very polite and very hard at work, moving all the furniture. They did a great job covering house items with packing materials and no damage to house. They proceeded to the new house location, and again they did a fantastic job. It was a new house and again no damage done. They were strong and very professional and hard working guys. I highly recommend Triple 7 Movers. If I need to use movers again or if any friends and relatives are moving I will use Triple 7 Movers again. Great customer service from Office Staff: Leeor, Amanda and William. Thanks.

I received a phone call 1/2 hour before they were to arrive to let me know they were on the way. Furniture had stretch wrap put on it it and then wrapped with blankets. They were very professional and got the job done in less time than the estimate. They did not take any breaks and just worked and I was very impressed with their work ethics. I woud use them again.

during the packing process, they left things behind. Nearing the end of the packing process, they notified us that they can't transport liquids. WHAT THE?!?!? We should have been informed of that when we booked the service!!!! So we had to scramble to find, boxes, crates & bags to transport our "liquid" property in. Come to find out, they took everything out of my bathroom cabinets. THERE WERE LIQUIDS IN THERE!!!! They got the job done in a reasonable amount of time, but I wouldn't use them again.

The 3 person crew showed up on time and quickly got everything moved. Everyone was professional from the office staff, scheduler to the moving crew. What is nice is that they use a 3 person crew instead of 2 so the job gets done a lot quicker.

This is the first half of my review because I took advantage of the 30 day free storage from this company. I will finish my review once they deliver everything to its final destination. I wanted to start my review now because the service has just been great. From my initial call customer service has been extraordinary. From the start, we had one point of contact, Nikki. She was so nice and available to answer any and every question that we had. She made the process smooth. The movers called the night before to tell us what time they would arrive. They arrived on time, were professional, worked quickly and worked hard. The forman of the crew was Luis he was fantastic. Again, very professional. The other two guys were also amazing. The packing job that they did was simply unbelievable. They handled everything with care, wrapped everything to perfection and seemed to never stop moving. They were just great. They were also polite and had a great sense of humor. Triple 7 movers also helped to identify New Way Moving Services to assist in shipping our car across country. I was less satisfied with this process. The price was great but New Way is just a dispatcher who works with a network of transport companies that do the actual transportation of the vehicle. New Way did their job, and they were nice, however once they connect you to the actual trucking company they have little to no ability to assist if there is a problem. Amko Auto Mover was the actual transporter that shipped the car. Amko increased the price by $50 with no real explanation, but I didn't have time to try and find another mover. I felt like I was held hostage. They told me they would be there between December 8-10. Again, I understand the reason for a 2 day window as they pick up cars across the country and they try to time their arrival accordingly. However, they did not come until December 12 at 11:30pm. THIS WAS ABSOLUTLY UNACCEPTABLE. Again, I was held hostage because by this time, I had already purchased plane tickets. I ended up spending extra money because I rented a car thinking they would be there between the Dec 8-10. When moving across country, you can imagine every dollar counts so I really didn't appreciate the fact that they not only came 2 days late, but I had my 77 year old mother out in a Walmart parking lot at 11:30 at night waiting for the truck to arrive. When I expressed my concerns with New Way -they had no recourse and didn't offer any real solutions. When I called Amko, again they showed no concern nor offered any apology. They did not show even the slightest gesture of empathy. I did get my car, but paid full price with no sense they cared at all for my inconvenience and the insensitivity of having my senior mother out at nearly midnight to drop off the car. I will file a complaint with the BBB on Amko Auto Movers. I don't blame New Way, but if you use them understand the limits of their role. Overall, there is no doubt I would recommend Triple 7 Movers. The price is fair and the service professional. I will write my final review once our belongings are delivered to Boston. Again, I just caution those who are shipping a vehicle.
Description of Work: I contacted Triple 7 Movers to provide and estimate to move my mother across country. After getting several estimates, Triple 7 was by far the best price - and had the most friendly customer service.

The movers arrived a little ahead of the scheduled time. There were three of them (Luis, David and Serafin). Each guy was clean, cheerful and ready to work. They worked hard and got things done quickly, keeping their sense humor throughout the day. I would absolutely use them again...and I have already recommended them!

I did a lot of research before choosing Triple 7. All other companies with comparable services were more expensive. Yvette in the sales department was exceptional. She returned all phones calls promptly and was professional, informative and very pleasant. When the visual estimate came in at a lesser amount than I expect for the volume of my stuff, she was understanding of my concerns and explained their process. The pick up went very well. On the hottest day on record in Las Vegas, Joe, DJ and Giovanni worked hard to get the job done in a professional manner. They handled my things carefully and loaded them in such a way that made me feel they would be secure on their trip to Maryland. I was impressed with how well boxes were taped and furniture was padded. I hope to be able to continue my excellent impression of Triple 7 as they transport, unload and set up my belongings in Maryland. UNLOAD AND SET UP: There was a bit of frustrating confusion about when my things would be delivered, but William took care of it immediately. The delivery was within the agreed upon window. The men who delivered my stuff were not as professional as those who loaded it. Alpha handled things better than Dabo. They were not very careful with the boxes, especially those clearly marked as FRAGILE! A few expensive items were broken, although there is no way to know where, in the process, that occurred. They were not careful about leaving scuff marks on the walls and made no attempt to clean them. There seemed to be a language barrier, so some things did not end up in the right rooms. Their set up skills were not very good. The dining room table will need to be re-assembled to correct their work. During unloading, Dabo spent time on his cell phone talking about his dinner plans and other personal topics. I thought this was unprofessional. He seemed to leave the heavier work to Alpha. This was my first cross country move with movers and I learned a lot! Overall, I graded them "B" and would use them again.
Description of Work: Loaded my belongings from my storage unit. All boxes were securely taped. All furniture was wrapped in padded blankets. Items were placed in the truck so that the least amount of space was taken. This was important as the cost is per cubic foot. They transported, unloaded and set up in Maryland.

Thank you so much triple 7 movers!! And thank you angies list as well!! Let me begin with the fact of how dificult it is to choose a mover on such a short notice (i found a renter that took over my lease within 24 hours!) I searched the web and all i could find was all kinds of brokers and lead providing companies that have 20 unlicensed companies call u 24 times an hour. I finally looked up angies list and was amazed how many companies are out there, i noticed triple 7 movers had no reviews and did some research on them, after talking to lea the local specialist i found out they were family owned and operated, localy licensed and insured and very nice people overall. They offered i should go to my apartment manager and ask about them.i was suprised to find out they were preffered vendors with my whole apartment corporate, costco anf many more. I am so happy i chose triple 7 movers, with a very reasonable rate of 110 per hour for 3 men and a truck (or 85 an hour for 2) it only turned out $220 total to move my 3 bdrm apartment! No hidden fees. Joe j. Did such a great job moving and managing jeremy and marcus i was amased how fast this could be done! I ended up calling them THE AVENGERS (i believe they took that nickname with them :-) ). It is a great honor to be the first to review! And i am sure many more will follow with there great experience.
