He took time to explain each step and made suggestions for valve replacements in the future. We are having his crew back to do a complete cleanup of our landscaping.

Description of Work: Thought I had 3 broken Malibu lights but Mitch found another and fixed all of them. Also, everytime the sprinklers went on, I found a big puddle in the rocks by the house. He dug down, found the leak and fixed it.

+ 1 moreI thought Mitch and his team did a great job for a very fair price. They worked on two separate days. The first day they were there from about 9:30-7:30 and did a lot, taking out a bunch of ugly bushes in the front yard and replacing them with some stepping pavers next to my driveway on one side, and some more attractive plants on the other side. They added some sod in some dead spots in the front, and then got to work in the backyard. They completely removed my old lawn, which was looking pretty ratty with lots of dead spots and 3 different kinds of grass and lots of weeds. They took out a line of bushes that my wife didn't care for, and put a bunch of plants where those bushes were and in another spot that needed some work. They adjusted all the sprinkler lines accordingly. I wanted to wait to add the new sod in the backyard until I had some other work completed, so about a month later they came back and put in the new sod and adjusted all the backyard sprinklers, which took over a half a day's work. The workers were very friendly and did a great job. Mitch was there the whole time to oversee the project and was very upfront that I was the boss and anything I said goes. The first time the new sod patches in the front yard didn't take, so when they came back they redid the sod and they have been growing very well ever since. Both the front and backyards look really great now, it is a pleasure to see my house from the street and hang out in the back and have my son waddle around on the lush grass. They really took a lot of time to make sure the sprinklers were going to do a good job of watering the lawn, and it has shown with how well it is doing. Mitch made me feel like he really cared about his work and that if I wasn't satisfied he would come and make it right. I definitely recommend him and would use Perfection in the future if the need arises.
Description of Work: Tore out ugly bushes in front and back yard, put paver steps where one bush was, planted new plants where ugly plants once grew. put new sod in dead and brown patches in front yard. Completely took out old weedy grass in back yard and replaced with new sod. Made sure all sprinklers were spraying correctly and in the right spots.

+ 0 moreI called Mitch and asked him to take a look at my lighting system and find out why some of the bulbs were not working. He jumped right on my job and went over there the next afternoon and then called me and explained to me everything that needed to be done. He was very upfront about the amount of work that was involved and how much it would cost. I told him to go ahead and do the job. The job took several days and he was always punctual and would then give me a call at the end of the day to let me know how the day went. Mitch is fair, honest and hardworking. Three qualities that I greatly admire. I will hire Mitch again, in a second, if I ever need anything in my yard done again.
Description of Work: Mitch went thru my entire lighting system and fixed all the corroded connections, water-proofed everything, and made sure everything was working 100%.

+ 0 moreI called Mitchell on Saturday, Sept. 6th about a sprinkler valve that would not shut off. He explained to me what he thought it could be and then let me know what his hourly rate was. He arrived on time and I explained the problem again and also an additional problem that one of my other sprinklers would not go off at the designated time. He went straight to work and informed me that my valve wiring was incorrect. He rewired my system and checked that everything was accurate. He also went over which section of my yard went with a particular zone. Mitch was very thorough and even gave me tips on how to repair the damage done to my lawn from the lack of water from the failing sprinkler system. Now everything works great. Mitchell is very professional and easy to speak with. I believe from my experience with Mitchell that he is extremely knowlegeable about his work and very fair with his prices. I highly recommend his services.

+ 0 moreHe was very puctual, he came at the time he stated. He checked the shut off valve. He was very informative. He told me what to look for on the shut off valve if there was a problem. He showed me how to "bleed" the valve if the weather ever gets cold enough for a freeze at night. He replaced the diaphram and checked the other thing (I can't remember what it is called) that works with the automatic system to shut it on and off. He also checked the filter and flushed out the system to see if there was anything blocking it. He them replaced the bubbler head that was giving us the problem. I was very impressed with the service and the professional way Mitch conducted the work. I definately will tell my friends about his business. Mitch told me when I called today that he charges $85 for the service call for the first hour he is here. He was here just 1 hour plus he replaced the diaphram and the bubbler with the total being $95. I am very appreciative of the time he took to show me things that I can look for and check before calling so if I can fix it myself I would be able to. I was very impressed with that.

+ 0 moreMr. Manis was very professional and courteous. He called on the same day that I emailed him from Angie's List and we agreed on a price over the phone. He said he would be here between 9:30 and 10;00 and was here at about 9;45. He went right to work and completed the job in less than a hour.
Description of Work: The provider changed out my irrigation system solenoid and valve for my backyard system. He also changed the insulation on my main control valve.

They came out timely and took a big mess and made it look great. I fully intend to hire them again after the summer to do some re-landscaping and other work.

I was informed that "Mitch" would be at my home the next day - sure enough he arrived as scheduled, made recommendations to my satisfaction, and went right to work. His professional demeanor and knowledge of his craft was impressive. He returned the next day with his crew - so friendly and "down to earth" and a great job accomplished. The job was finished in a short time. I highly recommend this fine company.
Description of Work: There was a problem with my irrigation system and water was leaking all over the place. They fixed my water pipe, and I could hardly see where the lifted the grass up to do the repairs.

So I e-mailed 2 irrigation specialists from Angie's list, both with A ratings. Luckily Perfection Landscape was one of them., Mitch contacted me the same day, showed up on time, then diagnosed and repaired the problem. At my request, he rechecked all my sprinkler stations, set times & durations. He is polite, knowledgeable and conscience. He will be the only company I will call when an irrigation situation arises. By the way... I am still waiting to hear from the other company. (Whew!)

+ -1 moreWe knew the irrigation system had not been maintained and that the valve leaked. The plants were overdue for cleanup, and the yard needed debris cleared. He and his crew handled all of it with aplomb. He came with a two man crew and worked first on the leaking valve. They then started on the trimming while some tested the irrigation. They removed a couple of bushes from around a palm that was being crowded, and needed to be a specimen that was by itself. At the end of the day we were very pleased with the condition of the yard. As they were finishing the irrigation testing my wife and I were on the patio and noticed a large amount of water coming up through the sidewalk. They spent quite a bit of time trying to find where the tubing went trough a sleeve under the walk and and could not. I mentioned either tearing up the sidewalk or digging a tunnel under another part of it where it was narrower. While the owner and I discussed the options the crew decided it for us and started digging under the sidewalk, and it was the correct decision. They spent a vigorous half hour digging the tunnel and getting a new tube run under the walk. They dug a trench along the edge of the walk to tie the tubing to the existing system. And there were no leaks when they tested it. He is, unfortunately, too expensive for monthly maintenance for us, but we sure are pleased with the work they did.

He also returned lighting systems that we did not need therefore reducing our cost. Very honest and reliable. Grass looks great in front of the house. He followed up to see if we had any issues several days after the job was completed. I will use his company again in the next month to trim trees.

Description of Work: Provider was unwilling to give me an estimate, as he said he is "not cheap". He stated that when people call for estimates, he finds it a waste of his time because people go with the cheapest bid. Unfortunately for him he will never earn our business or recommendation.

Upon investigation, the job was more involved as over the years many modifications and reworks ended up in a less than workable quick fix. As a result , the best way to handle the issue both short and long term was to completely rework most of the system. They worked through the weekend and holiday to complete the task.
