I had just moved to Las Cruces and went to Ashley Furniture since it was just down the road from my new home. I selected a living room suite (chair and sofa), plus coffee table and end table. The salesman told me that if I wasn't satisfied, I would be able to return the items with a 20% restocking fee. However, when I called to let them know the tables would not work, they told me they did not take back used furniture. I told the lady on the phone that it had just been delivered and hadn't been used at all, plus I told her what the salesman had said, but she told me they would not take them back. I ended up selling the tables at a loss. Meanwhile, in less than a year, the sofa sagged terribly and the upholstery stapled to the back came loose and I had to re-staple.
Description of Work: I've never bought furniture at a store that would not allow returns, even after the salesman told me it was allowed.

bad customer service, called several times , no call backs. E mail sent with no response, finally after a month or more , got a hold of the manager and his response to our problem was a 25% discount on another dining set, which is not even a offer, we were offered less than that when we brought the set which is why we got it- so the 25% was an insult. After several calls made and trying to get an answer to our problem when the 25% discount was offered we just said enough is enough and never responded.. We are giving the set to our son and buying a dining set at another store. We will not buy another item at Ashley furniture .
Description of Work: Brought a dining room set at Ashley furniture store, I will not buy another item from this store, not good customer service, sent an e mail with no response. the lady on the phone that I tried to talk with had a bad cough that she did not care if she coughed thru the phone or not, I replied that I felt she needed to be in bed with that bad of a cough, she was rude, did not listen to what I was saying nor did she care. The communication between the sales lady and the service guy was messed up. I told the sales lady on the phone that the chair top wood was split and her response was so you broke the chair and you want it fixed, I replied-- Miss calm down we did not break the chair , the chair is split- like wood will split and she said , we can have someone service it-- there is a lot more that went on with this store, but it is a very long ordeal to review, so I am saying, I will not buy from Ashley furniture again. We were hoping to be able to exchange this dining set for a more comfortable , and better made set.. but that was not to be.
