Had to wait about a week for repair technician to come to the house, which was OK. Less than 5 minutes before he arrived, I got on the bike to reconfirm the problem, and wouldn’t you know, it worked perfectly! I explained what the problem had been, and he spent about 30-minutes carefully inspecting the internal workings and putting it through its paces. I didn’t feel too bad about paying for the service call, since he gave it a thorough inspection and helpful advice on things to consider and where to shop when the time came to replace the bike. About 5 months later, the problem surfaced again, and I took his advice, replacing it with a higher-quality used machine at a reasonable price from a reputable local dealer. If/when my new bike needs repair, I will definitely call A Helping Hand again.
I gave a B grade for Price only because no actual repair was made, but it was my fault for not realizing sooner that the problem was no longer occurring and I could have cancelled the house call.
