I called around when I first moved to the neighborhood in the winter. Arnie was the only person at the time who was reasonable and didn't require me to sign an annual maintenance package. He came out to my house himself and I got a chance to meet him and speak to him. A lot of others didn't even return my call - must have been because of the season. We agreed on a price, shook hands and for 3 months (Jan-Mar) I didn't hear from him. When April rolled around, I wondered if he remembered and would still mow. Sure enough once it got warm and dry, his crew came out. They introduced themselves, asked a couple of questions and were polite and pleasant to deal with. I asked about the schedules and was told they'd come out every Tuesday, which turned out not to be the case. They come out depending on weather. If it's dry Thursday instead of Tuesday, they'll come then. While their mowing has been good, there's been a couple areas that are lacking. 1. It's strictly lawn service. They don't trim the hedges, do edging, or snow removal. So I have to contact others to get those services. 2. We have a wet area on our lawn. When it's too wet to mow, they skip it. Which is understandable and appreciated. Otherwise I'd have mower tracks running through that area. When they skip it, I get charged the standard weekly rate. But when they come back the next week when it's dry and mow it. I get charged double since it is a double cut for long grass. 3. The billing is difficult. We've had checks written in October that were not yet cashed in December. Or notices that we haven't sent a check in when we were waiting for it to be cashed. There would be times we could go a while without an invoice and all of a sudden a large invoice all together. We ended up having to keep a spreadsheet specifically for our lawn services of when they came out, whether or not we were billed etc.
Description of Work: They send out a crew to do lawn maintenance. It's typically one guy on a mower and the others with blowers or a trimmer. We also use them for fall and spring cleanups.
