Description of Work: It was late Sunday afternoon when I left a message for Dave at Ten Hoeve construction. I had a water leak in my dining room and needed an immediate repair as it was supposed to rain Monday night. He called me back that evening and spent a lot of time on the phone asking questions and educating me about roofs. He was filled with compassion and my need to get this fixed immediately. Dave came Monday morning at 7 AM, looked at the water damaged area, and the corresponding area on the roof. He also evaluated other areas of my roof. He said he thought the leak was coming from the valley, but as there was no attic to confirm this, he had to make an assessment based on his years of expertise and what he saw. I had read beforehand that without attic access, it is difficult to know the exact cause or spot. I was very impressed by Dave's knowledge, integrity, honesty, and the high standard he placed upon himself and crew for doing any job, big or small. I was impressed that Dave told me up front that the sealed valley would stand out and not match the roof and then asked me if I would mind. With rain and ice coming, I was happy to have my roof repaired, regardless of its look. Dave gave me a price to seal the valley and repair a few of the shingles in that area and on the other side of the roof. I thought his price was fair, accepted him as my roofer, we shook hands, and later in the day after the temperature rose a bit, Dave and his crew came out to do the work. His crew was outstanding, taking such pride in their work, cleaning up everything, answering my questions, and showing professionalism and courtesy to me as their customer. Unlike many roofers I have dealt with, Dave actually came to my home for our scheduled appointment, returned as promised to do the work, addressed my request for insurance, and was professional, very knowledgable, and most importantly, was a man of integrity and honesty. I would definitely use Dave and his crew again and highly recommend them to all.
