This company responded the same day and seemed to possess all technical know-how and equipment to fix my toilet. However I was skeptical when I was told that to auger the toilet and clear a simple blockage near the bowl would be $185.00; anything beyond that basic service would be more money. That seemed high to me, but having recently relocated to the area I did not know prevailing rates for such a service, and I did not have time to do the repair myself. So I consented and it took the company rep all of 3 minutes to clear the blockage. $185.00 for 3 minutes of work - really?? Once the blockage was clear I was informed that the filler valve was not working properly and needed to be replaced. The part would be about $20 and it would require another $80 labor. Once again, being unfamiliar with local rates I was skeptical but ultimately consented to the additional work. All in all the company rep was at my house for about one hour, charging me $265.00 labor for that single hour! One man, no specialized equipment beyond an auger, no particular problems or idiosyncracies reported to me. Not an emergency call, normal business hours during the middle of the day on a Monday (non-holiday). I visited a plumbing supply store today and learned that in the Huntington area plumbers typically charge about $75 per hour. Imagine my dismay at overpaying by so much. I was my own fault for agreeing to the charges, but that doesn't mean others must make the same mistake I did. In the interest of one's pocketbook, look elsewhere for plumbing services.

This was clearly the WORST experience as a homeowner ever.

They did an amazing job. They came on an emergency. The gentleman came within a few hours and spent the whole day fixing it. They were very responsive and the gentleman was really friendly. I would tell others they are a good choice, they are dependable and you do not feel like you are getting ripped off. Although I always wish things like this were cheaper!

Overall the job that was performed was a grade A numero uno shining example of having a professional service your needs i was hesitant to make the call i like to think i can fix anything but since i was putting up molding putting a new kitchen in hanging doors etc etc i thought i do not have time for this plumbing issue so i do what i always do look on Angie's list and the number one pick that came up was farmingdale roto rooter so i called and they said 1 hour sir i said ok when the gentleman arrived he was friendly and professional and he explained that he could roto rooter the pipes or just put a chemical in the drains but if i wanted to be sure i would go for the roto rooter the pipes i knew that since we had moved in 10 years ago this had never been done so i thought it was time after all the work was finished i wrote the man a check and was very satisfied that was this evening so only time will tell but i do know that my neighbor had his sewer backup and had to gut his whole ground floor and while everything was being repaired he and his family were not able to stay in the house for 2 months so i thought doing this job would give me piece of mind and it is nice to know that my sewer is not going to back up because of roto rooters expertise and skill i now have full confidence in a job well done and i wont have to wonder is my sewer going to back up to am i going to have to live in a hotel for 2 months or worse will i have to live with my RELATIVES oh well problem solved call roto rooter thats the name and you'll be right back in the game thanks again

At first, I was skeptical about using Roto-Rooter for plumbing as they are known more for drain service. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The job was performed in a professional manner and I am very pleased with the service. What is truly impressive about Roto-Rooter is their flexibility in scheduling. I scheduled my service to begin on a weekday evening at 7:00 and was completed at midnight. Try asking another plumber to do that and I doubt you will ever see him again.

This job needed to be done in the late evening. Several other plumbers would either not answer the phone, or were not willing to send a technician out until the next day. The Roto-Rooter technician not only showed up within the promised time period, but he also did a good job in clearing the clogged drain.

I was very impressed with this company and the ability for me to enter my service call on-line and pick a window of time for the appointment. I received e-mail status updates over the next 12 hours and got a call 45 minutes before the appointment stating the plumber was on his way. He showed up 10 minutes early, was very courteous, professional and knowledgable and completed his work in about 1/2 hour. I thought the cost was extremely high for the work that was done and would have to get additional quotes if I use this company again. Overall though the experience was a pleasant one and customer service was outstanding.

I wasted my whole day waiting for the guy to show up, and I think the service was rather overpriced, however the plumber himself was polite and patient and extremely professional.

They cleaned the drain within a short time

After I called and spoke with the dispatcher, I was called back and given an approximate arrival time. The plumber arrived on time and was very professional. He took care of the problem. He was very neat and cleaned up after he was done. The service cost a bit more than I expected, but it came with a 6 month waranty, which came in handy when I had to call back about 2 months later with the same problem. Again the plumber came on time and was very neat. He did the job and there was no charge. Overall I'm very satisfied,

I made an internet appointment on the RR website. Quickly received a confirmation that it was received, and advised me I would get a call Saturday morning as to the time the serviceman would arrive. They did just that, the serviceman installed the faucet and I was happy. I thought the price a bit high, but i had nothing to compare it to.

The serviceman came the same day I called and at the time expected. Satisfied with repairs. Only concern was that job cost more than I anticipated as he recommended additional repairs and products that I was not planning to purchase. Felt that if I did not follow his recommendations something bad would happen to my house/plumbing.

I had absolutely no problem with them. I thought their price was fair in comparison to other plumbers. They came and gave me a price and left it up to me if I wanted to use them. I had to have them back about a week later because one of the drains seemed to be backing up. They let me know up front that there was no charge and it was under warranty. Phil was the first guy that came out and Josh came the second time. They were courteous and professional. They were on time. We wish that we had done it ten years ago.

It all went well as described above. The tech (Chrissy) was knowledgeable, communicative, professional and friendly. The price was a little steep, but I do have a 6 month guarantee and the service was excellent.

When I realized I had a leak, I checked on AngiesList for plumbing services. I called and was given a 2 hour time frame, and the serviceman arrived in 1 hour. He evaluated the problem, went to his truck to cut pipe, and return to complete my repair. The cost was reasonable, the serviceman friendly and professional, and he was gone in just over 2 hours from my original call. He also had no problem with the fact that we have a dog.

When we had an emergency, I tried to get another company at the beginning, but they couldn?t come. They came immediately, they are very prompt. They don?t make you wait. We found them to be very conscientious and up front. They will work with you.

They are very expensive. It was about $300 to clean a drain. The workers were alright. They came in and did their job, but the price was a problem.

Gave an estimate of a toilet clog issue. Roto rooter was very helpful in determining if they could see an easy fix however the water jet treatment they recommended was incredibly overpriced at $999 plus tax and service. They didn't have the much less expensive air gun as even an option (around $250). With roto you get professional plumbers but they will have the highest prices hands down.

When I called Sat. night I was pretty worried. My crazy landlady had refused to fix the toilet so I was going to pay the plumber and take it off my rent. I got a call from the manager that his techs were booked up for that night but that someone would come first thing Sunday AM. Mike came bright and early as promised. A nice young man with a big pipe snake, he told me that my landlady was going to pay the plumbing after all.(This is why I don't know how much the repair was). He snaked out the drain and flushed it several times to make sure it was working.

Crissy and Andrew came and performed the work. They did a good job, were on time, and even came in an emergency.

They were really excellent, and very, very knowledgeable. They were prompt and professional and gave us all the knowledge that we needed to deal with it more by ourselves in the future. We will continue to use them as needed.

They are good and they go the extra step. They don't just do the job, they also make recommendations. They check their work after they are done and make sure everything works. Their prices are reasonable.
