They came within hours of my call which is just amazing. I have used this company before and that was over three years ago. (Before that, I used another place and had to call at least every year.) Roto-Rooter guys are courteous, pleasant and thorough. They also gave me some advice about how to keep the dirt out of the yard drain for even longer.

Great response time for a Sunday evening! Technician was on time and very helpful. Cleaned out or main drain line and answered all of our questions. He explained everything well and gave a very good idea of what we were dealing with now as well as what other issues we might have. I would definitely use them again.

This service visit was a "call back". They had cleared out the sewer line 4/25/14, but warned me that since the clog was due to tree roots, and it was spring time, it might come back. They said the work was performed with a 30 day warranty. If the line clogged again within the 30 days, the service call would be n/c. The call back was 37 days. I was prepared to "go to the mat" if they tried to charge me. No such worry. The techs had reviewed previous service record, pre-authorized the n/c status with the owner. I couldn't be more complimentary of the way the company handled the situation. The service techs, Dave, Karl were courteous and professional.

Tim was extremely professional and informative. He did a wonderful job and reassured us that we shouldn't have this problem again in the future and if anything occurs in the next 6 months that Roto-Rooter would come out again to correct the issue.

Well to begin with I never thought I would get anyone to come the Sunday of Memorial day weekend. We had an emergency as all drains were emptying out of our downstairs toilet, the water was everywhere and it would erupt like a volcano each and every time someone used water, flushed a toilet or used a washing machine. We were having a house full of company and thought we might just cancel. We decided not to but we did call Roto-Rooter to try to schedule someone to come to our house on Sunday. We called because the ad indicated that they work on weekends and holidays and that there is no extra charge for weekend and holiday service. It was a very busy day but the operator assured us that someone would be able to come Sunday. Initially she said they would come by 6:30. They did not come by 6:30 but they did come Sunday night. I gave them an "A" for promptness because although they did not come by the time originally indicated (6:30), they called on almost hourly intervals (without me asking them to do this) to let me know that the serviceman was really busy, tied up and running late and wanting to know if it was still ok for him to come. Thankfully I said yes. Eventially Marian came, diagnosed the problem and rectified it. He was very, very personable, explained everything to us and told us that it would be no problem to fix it, which he did. Everything has been great since Marian came on Sunday night and, although reluctant to call Roto-Rooter initially, I would call them immediately in the future with any plumbing related issue. We were very impressed with Marian, the service and this company. We highly recommend Roto-Rooter for any plumbing related issues.

Terrific! The technician, Foster, arrived on time, was professional, assessed the situation and then gave us options on how to fix/solve the situation. The work was done quickly and as agreed at the agreed upon price. He was an asset to the company and I'd use them again.

the next major rain will determine if the tech had found the cause of the problem of water coming into my basement very expensive though im a repeat roto rooter customer and a senior citizen on fixed income, all things considered the 400 price was very high i think for repeat customers there should be a major consaidereation as far as price for service is concerned friends and neighbors will ask about my using roto rooter and i d love to be able to recommend roto rooter but mentioning the price will be a deterrent to their using roto rooter i m sure

This drain had been giving me trouble for years, draining slower and slower all the time. I had a few plumbers in here and there and they couldn't solve the problem. My last plumber said to contact a snaking expert and I called Roto Rooter. (RR Plumbing) He arrived that day, shortly after my phone call. He was very friendly and professional. I really didn't think the problem could be solved after having so many people try to unclog the drain. After a short time, he came downstairs and said he freed the clog and the water was now able to drain. I was very happy with the work.

Was very delighted they came out at "Zero Hour" with estimate and scheduled start date, previous plumber left me hanging. Work went well, however, had to call them back the pipe leaked two days later. Scheduled appointment Monday evening, plumber ran late had to re schedule Tuesday, also arrived after promised time only to find the pipe had to settle and nothing further had to be done. The original estimate given by one person was not honored by the person who arrived to do the work, and did not take off the $40 coupon. A second visit was scheduled to connect the pipe for additional charge and promised to take the coupon off for the higher priced work. Had cabinet and new sink installed, the cabinet maker preceded with step 2 for me and connected the sink to the pipe at no charge, he felt I was being ripped off by calling them back. I contacted the office, who was very professional and helpful and Sonia (wonderful woman), credited my AmEx for the $40 Angie's list coupon and promised if I use their service again I would have a veteran plumber.

Steve showed up within an hour of my call to the company. He examined the area. Tried to get through the pipes, but the line from the trap was full. He needed to cut through the sheet rock, remove a part of the pipe to access the clogged area. Steve was very courteous and informative. He explained the issues as they came up.

Very well - called them on a Thurs night when blockage was discovered - they came within 2 hours and cleared line. Two days later came back with camera and showed me all the problems (Sat). Came on Mon 4/21 and did the work described above. The personnel were courteous and very professional. Explained everything to me.

Roto-Rooter always provides prompt and quality service any time of day, and offers free estimates. I guess that is why their prices always are more expensive than a local plumber, but that is the cost of piece of mind.

Service provided OK but cost was very high. I was charged $225.00 for the toilet and $409.00 for the sink. But I did get a $122.70 senior discount. But the $225 was a $20 overcharge, which I got refunded when I complained about the cost to the office. The service guy took about one hour to do the work so I consider the total cost to be excessive..

When my hot water heater failed, I scheduled an appointment with this company online. I figured they were a big company and would be my best bet to get someone here quickly. They also advertised that they are available 24/7. However, after making my appointment I was called back shortly to be informed that they would not be able to come that day. They did let me know they could come the following evening. That next day I rushed home after work to meet them. About an hour after my appointment time, I was called to be notified that they would not be there within the established time window but would still be coming. A few hours later I was called again to be informed that they were stuck on another job but are going to be there that evening. Later on I finally received a call after almost two hours to let me know they were on there way. However, fifteen minutes later I got a call that they could not find parking and would not be coming that evening. This was just before midnight. They did inform me at that time they would be there the following day first thing in the morning between 8 and 10. That morning I received a call about halfway though the time window I had been given to let me know that they would not be there on time but would be there within four hours. Since they were keeping me informed, I felt they would still be coming, but after that four hour window had come and gone, I lost any hope that this company was coming and was tired of being dragged along for almost two days waiting for them to show up. When your hot water heater goes, you can only wait so long! At this point I called another local company to see if they could come. Shortly after I had made arrangements for that other company to come, I received a call from roto-rooter to let me know that it would be closer to 4 in the afternoon that they would arrive. I doubt that would have happened. Either way, I told them not to bother. Bottom line is avoid this company. On a positive note, they did keep me informed along the way every time that they would NOT be showing up, so I was well informed that I needed to keep waiting. Therefore, I gave them a C on professionalism for at least calling and keeping me informed. Ultimately I wasted way too much time waiting for this company just to show up and would never consider them again. My lesson has been learned. Support a local company that is more responsive and would be happy to have your business!

First he was ontime, knew exactly what to do to clear the drainage pipes and he gave a clear explaining what happen and how to prevent this from happening again.

Called at 11 AM and they wanted to come within 2 hours. I said I wouldn't be available until after 3PM. They arrived within the 2 hour time they gave me and were very professional. After reviewing the situation thoroughly they gave me the price. Once I agreed, the work was done efficiently and effectively. The service man explained the causes and how I might prevent it from happening again. He was very polite and left the bathroom very clean. I would definitely use them again.

The work was good and done promptly. However, the cost was a bit high in my opinion.

John (260) was great. He explained exactly what was causing our problem and how he could fix it. I could not be happier with the service we received. I have used other plumbers before and was never as satisfied with the service person or the job done. I will use Roto-Rooter and especially John whenever, God forbid, we have any plumbing problems and to do maintenance of our drains.

Had to return the next morning to continue the job. We were very satisfied with the service.

It was a pretty typical event. I had a hard time unclogging a toilet so I called Roto Rooter. The convenience, courtesy and promptness were all commendable. I take the quality down a notch because they scratched the porcelain a bit. The price gets a very low grade because collusion seems to be the only logical way to explain it. $300 for 90 seconds of work--we're in a densely populated area, so call it 15 minutes with travel time--seems excessive. You just can't support it by specialization of tools, knowledge, time, effort etc. Intuitively this feels like a $50 job at most, although that's essentially impossible to find.

Had a block in the drain going from the washing machine to main which was causing water to back up and flood the bathroom where the washing machine was. they identified the blocked, cleared the block and cleared the driveway storm drains as well. He gave me a good price on the work, but I felt a little pressured because he offered to give me a discount to do the work right away, and said wouldn't be able to do the discount if I only take a quote and call back later for the work. So I didn't get a quote from anyone else and got the work done - which was done to my satisfaction. But this something they can work on. The price was right for the work, and the work was done well and thoroughly - so no complaints on the quality of work.
