Description of Work: Original price was 3 hrs for $89. Needed 2 more hours to complete, charged me his full day rate of $189.

Description of Work: Purchased the special of $279 for a painter for a day. I wanted a small ceiling painted which took about an hour and a half. The painter said I needed some dry wall tape repair but they could not do it because they didn't have time for it to dry. I said to paint it any way since I had no way get it repaired. After they left the next day I noticed they missed a small spot, I called told him and the painter said I must be mistaken. I said no I'm sure that you missed a spot. He came and went over the spot which took five minutes. At that point I said since you were only here a short time and I paid for a day could you do some trim around an inside door and two inside window openings. He said no absolutely not since they can't make money working at the "Angie's Special Price" I paid and would be calling Angie's List to remove the special however I see it is still being offered. I feel they could have repaired the tape and come back to paint and it would have been more fair to me rather than taking my $279 for a painter for a day and only working for less than two hours. | |I will never again invest in an "Angie's List Special".

Description of Work: Painted 2 bedrooms of the house. Did a good job overall. But kept bringing up the fact that I got this service at a great deal (i.e. that I got the services cheaper than what the usual price would have been). I thought it was a bit unprofessional.

Description of Work: I would never use this painter again. He treated my house as a rental, as he said, the job was not a perfect job. I explained to him that I was not sure if I was going to be renting the home, or putting the home on the market. It appeared that a home for sale would get a better quality job than a rental home. Service is service. I felt that he was just looking for a quick 300.00.

Description of Work: I called Tony based on the reviews on this site- he sounded impressive on the phone. I'd been looking for a painter who stood out- communicative with some creative inputs. He turned up for a quote, was articulate and gave nice inputs. However, he quoted me a price that blew away other quotes I had, by a mile(too high). He then tried to back that up by saying he works at residences where folks pay thousands to paint a single room. Needless to say I did not hire him but I wanted to put this out there to show that reviews can be misleading.
