He did the job in record time. His estimate was careful and exact. He told me how long he would need and what he could give me pricewise. He did above and beyond. And Antonio's commitment to quality workmanship and cleanliness was exemplary. He came on time, and I felt safe leaving my sleeping daughter in the house while I did an errand. He was willing to work with my Valspar paint and spent the first day doing repair work to make sure that the walls were smooth and uniform. His painting was neat, and because the walls butted up against a stone fireplace with uneven and ragged edges, he had to really focus. He left the foyer better than he found it. I can promise you, without a doubt, that I will use him again. On top of that, he was friendly, courteous, very very funny and clearly is a family man who loves to speak with his clients in Italian and teach them things about a quality painting job, when they are free to listen. He is one of the very best painters I have ever worked with. If anyone has a doubt, they should also consult his website - clavellipainting. com. I wish him the best of luck. Again, he quoted me accurately, but did more than I asked for, did it beautifully and said honestly, "I will do a great job...I promise you.....because I want to come back and do more work for you." I found Tony based on the ratings from Angie's list. He has years of experience with painting. Tony was responsive. He listened my needs and made some suggestions about the color of the paint. He starts on time, early in the morning (6AM), and ends around 5PM. The job took about 4 days, and was done well. After kitchen remodel was completed, Tony came back for touch up (about an hour). Overall, I'm satisfied with his work and would like to recommend him to others. Price: Tony is the only guy called. So I don't really know what's a "better" price. I guess he is in the range with others. I need the project completed on time with good quality, in a professional manner, which Tony delivered.

Working with Tony was wonderful-- as part of the estimating process, he listened to what we wanted and provided his own suggestions on color, finish, etc. We also had a limited time frame for the job to be completed, and he was able to accommodate our specific needed dates, and worked around the floor people. The best part of working with Tony was that not only did he do an excellent job at the painting, but he also helped touch up a lot of little things: he fixed damaged trim, he installed crown molding that was inconsistent in our bedroom, he removed door pulls, etc. and removed old layers of paint. He really treated our house as if it were his own families--and the work turned out beautifully.

I found Tony on Angie's List and he is even better, if that's possible, than the ratings I read about him. I have just moved into a 55+ community which delivers the house all off-white with builder's grade paint. Tony arrived to discuss the job exactly when he said he'd be here. He listened carefully, made suggestions, and was extremely easy to work with. It felt as though we'd been friends for years. I particularly appreciated the fact that he was willing to offer suggestions when asked but I never felt as though he was pushing me in any way. As an example, Tony called and asked if he could come over and I thought he was going to begin the work, although he wasn't scheduled to do so for several days. In fact, he came with samples of the colors I'd chosen and painted large swatches on the appropriate walls. He told me I should "live" with the color for a while to be sure it was to my liking. That was the first of many such moments when it was clear he was interested in seeing that I got what I'd really would enjoy. In addition to painting the kitchen, breakfast area, dining room, living room and great room (two coats for each) he installed crown molding and transformed the plain grey slate fireplaces into beautiful "marble" with Venetian plaster. Crown molding can be exorbitantly expensive but Tony suggested doing it in a way that reduced the price by more than 50% and it looks spectacular. The fireplaces did not include mantels and I chose not to order them from the builder. Tony found some on-line that he thought I might like. At my request, he found an outstanding carpenter, supervised the work and I came home from a week-long trip to find gorgeous rooms and fireplaces that are breathtaking. There were various other "little" things that Tony dealt with for me. I'd shopped around quite a bit before checking Angie's list. I am very glad that I'm a member. There are no words to describe how extraordinary this man is. It was like working with a relative who was watching over me to be sure I didn't waste money and got a great job. I have already told everyone I know about this gifted artist and encourage anyone in the area to have him do their work. I could not have been more pleased. The money he charged was a fraction of what it could have been and every bit of it is absolutely perfect. I will be calling him again when I'm moved in enough to start on the bathrooms and bedrooms. By the way, he was ALWAYS on time and always respectful and fun to be with.

Although we did not use Mr. Clavelli for painting - it was VERY close between him and another contractor, and honestly I think we could have flipped a coin and used either contractor and it would have been fine. Mr. Clavelli was very prompt, responsive, and punctual, and was friendly and courteous during his initial visit to scope the job and give an estimate. He is obviously very knowledgeable and experienced. Like most Angie's List contractors who get a high rating, Mr. Clavelli respects your time, and respects you as the customer.

Tony arrived right on schedule and did an excellent job, paying close attention to detail. He takes great pride in his work and even performed, without hesitation, small tasks unrelated to painting. He was courteous, professional and knowledgeable, and his price was very competitive. I would highly recommend Tony for any interior painting project.

Fantastic! Quick! Great for rental apartments! Tony Clavelli?s 40 yrs of experience was immediately evident in the professional way he estimated the job and confirmed his availability. For a rental apartment, this is essential. Other painters changed their availability date, dropped out after bidding, or wasted my time appearing with laptops and assistants?. and then dropping out! I needed a job done quickly and efficiently and Tony?s experience and knowledge were impressive. Not only did he paint my apartment, he arranged to grout some bathroom tiles, clean the apartment, got rid of some furniture the tenant left, and solved all problems. As I was in Europe, the fact that I could rely upon and trust Mr. Clavelli was essential. His work was excellent and I certainly recommend him. By the way, his estimate was very competitive.

Tony did a great job! He was on time and finished in 1 1/2 days. He was clean, easy to work with, and listened to my requests. Tony also removed a door chain from my door and cleaned up existing locks, and attached the missing base molding where the a/c cover was. I'm really happy with the work and highly recommend Tony.

Started June 7, 2010 and completed June 11, 2010. I would most definitely hire Anthony again. The approximate price was $2,000.00. Anthony was extremely professional, punctual and very clean. My husband and I are very satisfied with his work. We would highly recommend him.

The entire job was done in an excellent, professional manner. When I first called for an estimate I really didn't know what I wanted to do. Mr. Clavelli explained a few options. I basically left it up to him. He arrived at the exact time he said he would come and I left for work. That was Friday, 4/30/2010. I came home and to my amazement, the room already looked great. By Saturday, May 1, 2010, the job was completed and I felt like I was in a new home. I had company on Sunday, May 2, 2010, and everyone complimented the work. I would definitely use Clavelli Painting and Wall covering services again. Not only was his work excellent, but he also was very professional and creative. I felt very comfortable leaving my home in his hands.

I have never dealt with such a highly professional and knowledgeable person. Tony, the owner, appeared to be very talented, experienced and hard worker at the same time. It has been a pleasure and very educational to discuss different variants of the wall design with him. And, I realized that there are many different types of walls design available to replace regular boring beige flat paint. I thoroughly checked the quality and could not find any spot to complain about. I will definitely ask Tony to re-paint all other rooms and bathrooms in my entire home!!! I'm more than happy with his work and to recommend him.

Tony was very professional when he showed up and listened to what we wanted done. He was also helpful in making creative suggestions we never considered. He gave us an estimate on the spot and started the job a week after we got the quote. The work took only 2 days and Tony did the work himself. The ceiling was Faux finished in metallics and the walls were painted with a yellow base coat and a gold glaze was applied using a Faux Finish - Strie Technique. The crown molding was lighting antiqued. The fireplace was sanded fine, painted with a base coat, Faux finished, and then gilded. The room looks outstanding and we have recommended Tony to our neighbors and friends.
