Not well. The work was very sloppy.

This was probably one most successful contractor relationships we have ever undertaken. Mohammed responded promptly with a detailed proposal. We had a flexible schedule, so timing was not a problem. Once the work started, it progressed smoothly and very professionally. The work was expertly done. The company was on time, communicated clearly, and extremely well qualified. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

So this is a very mixed review, and unfortunately the 2nd day (of a 2 day job) completely warped the A- rating I would have normally given them, because the first full day went extremely well.
1) Very punctual!! Mohammad (M1) showed up on the dot to give us an estimate and while he isn't very chatty, he knows his job well. Price was reasonable but not a great deal or anything, and he also didn't have great discounts on paint which we bought ourselves with a Sherwin Williams sales discount that was better than his wholesale price. So B on pricing, it was in line with what we were getting with others.
2) Communication - okay. As I said he's not the most chatty person, so when I tried to call to get details on how to buy paint, what supplies they needed (or would they bring them), I had to push to get information, he didn't say much on his own. I am a meticulous person who likes to plan ahead and make sure there are no problems the day of the job (saves everyone's time, not just my own) so I would have liked more detail on how to get paint at a discount, whether I needed to supply anything else, did my deposit reach on time, etc. But Mohammad always returned calls promptly, and was reachable, so no problems there!
3) Quality of work - The first day a tornado of 4 polite, hard-working, friendly men descended on our home early in the morning and they wasted no time chatting or goofing off! Their painting was pretty decent (some stains on light fixtures, mirrors, etc. but overall relatively clean). And the team leader (I think also named Mohammad - M2) reassured us we didn't have to finish cleaning the baseboards (which my fiance hadn't cleaned in 9 years as a single bachelor and were disgustingly dirty with years of accumulated grime!). He said his men would clean the area before they painted. So even though I was pleasantly surprised as I really didn't think it was their responsibility to clean walls and baseboards before painting, I relied on his promise. (We had done 1/2 of the walls the night before but based on what he said, left the rest to his team.) M1 (the owner Mohammad) even dropped by to check in on everything, which I thought was a nice show of concern that the job go well.
Here is where the problem came in...because they worked so fast and well, I think he (M2) underestimated the amount of time needed to finish the job the next day. He budgeted just 2-3 hours and had already promised another job to be there by 11 or 12. Well we had a large 2 bedroom townhouse, and though I'm glad they worked fast and well the first day, I don't think its too much to expect them to budget enough time on a 2nd day to finish the job. It's not like they worked many days over schedule, they had just done one day! But because the 2nd day took a little longer than expected, we could see him getting increasingly nervous about being late for the other job. So they PAINTED OVER the grime on our baseboards and cut corners everywhere. The paint job on the 2nd day was MUCH WORSE than the 1st day, no question. To give them credit, we asked them to repaint a small wall from the day before (we had chosen the wrong paint color) and though it was a 15-30 minute job, they didn't complain and did it willingly. However we would have preferred they charge us something small for that than rush the rest of the place, because their paint locked in 9 years of disgusting grease and grime on the kitchen baseboards, and now there is nothing we can do to fix it. In fact, its a health hazard. I didn't even expect them to clean them, but once they promised, they should have stuck by it or asked us to pitch in if needed, rather than be so sloppy and unhygienic.
They also were sloppy in their paint job as well that 2nd day, and there was a definite decline in the quality from the day before.
So for that reason, I am rating them a B, with a C for quality. Otherwise if I were to rate them on Day 1, it would have been an A!
One other note - we would reuse them again if it were for a rental (which is what that was)...although this time we would clean everything ourselves. Because they were still decent and friendly and hardworking. But for our new home, which we live in, we will pay a bit more and get better painters, because even on Day 1, which was a good job, it was still not as clean and high-quality as we'd want for the home we live in. There were still a few places near light switches and fixtures where they got a little paint in places they shouldn't.
Overall, I would recommend them for a rental paint job (but clean on your own, and tape fixtures you really don't want painted on!)....for my own home, I will reluctantly try someone else...!

It went very well. Dealing with Mohammad was a pleasure. He met with us promptly and offered us a very good price for a lot of work. The painting crew, headed by Akhtar was very professional, friendly, and meticulous. The work was done with an attention to detail, and any requests were greeted with a obvious wllingness to please. We would highly recommend this firm of painters.

They did an excellent job and were happy to schedule around some repair work I needed to have done before the painting. This is the third time I have used them and I will certainly use them again.

I wasn't that pleased. They really took some shortcuts. As a matter of fact I held back a $100 and they didn't argue with me. They didn't patch the holes properly. They skipped some altogether and there were spots that I had to go and touch-up myself. I got several estimates and they seemed like the best deal. They did not do a high quality job. The price was a little on the high side for what they did.

It's going very well!

Aside from the fact that the painting job was started much later than what we had expected (only partly due to weather), and that phone communication with Mr Safdar was somewhat poor, the job was done in a timely manner.
Also, Mr Safdar was never present at our house during the time the job was being performed to supervise his employees. He was at our house only when the job was finished.
We were not pleased with the final appearance of just one of our exterior walls, but an extra coat of paint was added immediately with no additional charges.
Overall we are pleased with the work done by Homepainters.

Very professional and efficient. They completed all work exactly when they said they would. They consulted carefully about colors, and got pre-approval before actually painting. They even did the final coat on the siding with a brush (instead of sprayer) so it would look better. Workmen didn't speak much English, but they were extremely polite and accommodating.

Well, the summer of 2013 in the Northeast was about as rainy as you could get - not including Hurricane Sandy taking place last fall 2012. Home Painters et all waited patiently as we needed to replace our garage roof prior to entire paint roof and replace cedar shingles on the southbound side of the house which is pummeled by sun and rain, and frankly needed a home improvement lifestyle lift. Took several months to coordinate all logistics, but I'm here to say that we're a few days away from being complete w/long overdue project. The owner of this business has a very holistic approach, is very fair, and very responsive to a client's needs. His staff is very courteous and willing to weigh in on opinions and answer questions as the process moves along. Run don't walk to Home Painters!

Homepainters was an easy and enjoyable company to work with from the start. The owner, Mohammad, came out to do an estimate the same day that I placed my initial call. He gave me the estimate on the spot, with an exact breakdown of the cost of each aspect of the service I was interested in, so I could choose which parts to move forward with, and which to skip. This was extremely helpful to me, as I had a long list of and quot;maybeand quot; items. The prices were so reasonable, i agreed to go forward with all of them. He scheduled the work for a few days later, which was also important to me, as I was on a timeline to get my home listed for sale. When the crew arrived, the lead guy walked through the house with me to review exactly what they were going to do. He double-checked with me on a few fine points throughout the process. They fixed every imperfection in every wall. They moved the furniture, protected everything, set up and cleaned up each day. The only reason I gave one and quot;Band quot; in the rating was because, initially, they reported that they would work all day on a Thursday and Friday to complete the job, but then changed the plan to all day Thursday, half day Friday, and half day Saturday. This was a minor inconvenience to me, but I'm sure it was for a logical reason and not a big deal. The final product looked spectacular. As I mentioned, the painting we did was part of preparing our home for sale. We received an accepted a great offer on the house 11 hours after going on the market. I think a big part of that was the great presentation of our freshly painted home, and the whole thing cost me less than I'd budgeted for. I will not hesitate to use Homepainters for anything I may need in my next house.

Due to a series of projects we undertook this spring, the work had to be done in several passes, and scope and schedule changed a bit. Mr. Safdar and the crew handled emerging requests well and did a good job overall. I had very few requests for corrections. They asked me to review the work at the completion of each painting day.

Poorly initially - Pending remediation

All went very well, employee was on time, professional. Charged a small extra charge for the fence, since that wasn't in the agreement, because I forgot to ask about it.

Mohammad was very professional and courteous at the estimate and throughout the painting process. He followed our timeline perfectly, as we wanted to have all painting completed before we moved into the house. His crew also came back to touch up the molding after our hardwood floors were refinished and did a great job.
He did over-estimate the amount of wallpaper needed, and we ended up with 2 1/2 extra rolls (the wallpaper was expensive, and can't be returned). Also, we added on the painting of a bathroom after the original work was done, and I thought the price for that room was high compared to the cost for the rest of the house, but decided to do it because the crew was already coming back for touch-up work.
Overall, they did a wonderful job - the crews worked quickly and left no mess at all. The paint job loks fantastic. They also installed a chair rail and wallpaper (both of which turned out great).

It all went very well. Phone calls were returned promptly, appointment were kept on time. The owner found some algae growth and had it removed. Very happy with our experience with Homepainters who are based in Pennington.

The owner Mohammad is kind and highly professional and was punctual. Out of the 4 estimates, his was in the middle and was close to our budget. We chose him for the following reasons: he took detailed notes about every room in order to make the estimate which we liked since there was a process and reasoning for arriving at the price; the final and second payment which is 75% of the estimate was to be paid when we are SATISFIED with the job, not just upon completion; he could send a larger crew and finish the job quicker compared to the other estimates we got; he also made recommendations on grouping the rooms/walls for each paint color.
His crew of 5 people showed up every day at 8 am, worked hard and quietly and would take only 15 minutes for lunch break. They covered all the furnitures and floors very nicely and completely. This was important because we had new floors upstairs. When they are done each day, they would leave the rooms very clean. The entire crew was very polite and professional. The crew's supervisor whose name is also Mohammad is phenomenal. He prepared the room filling the cracks and walked around himself to survey the areas painted by the crew and would mark the areas to be fixed again. He also asked us to check again and mark them with the painters tape if any areas to be redone. He is very customer oriented, honest and was very patient with us and is kind to his crew.

It's two guys who did the work. They were timely, good and fast. They didn't leave a mess. The work was high quality, and their prices were competitive. They showed up when they said they would. I didn't feel that I was overcharged, and I was happy with the work.

The crew power washed the house on a mildly raining day. Once the weather cleared they arrived to begin scraping. They primed the barespots and then gave the house 2 full coats of paint. There was no mess, no drips, no fuss. The crew was very professional and were contentious workers.

Could not say enough good things about Mohamed and the crew we had. Our house is quite old and needed a lot of paster work. These guys spent almost two solid weeks (and I mean solid) doing prep and painting every surface of our house. My wife and I debated the one B - which probably isn't fair considering the age of our house... really could have been an A or A- but I'm a bit of a perfectionist. A few small issues that they had no problem coming back to correct. Will use them again and recommend them to friends/neighbors (of course, most of our neighbors already use them).

They just finished day before yesterday. A lot of caulking was done. I felt their estimate demonstrated that they understood what they were going to do. I felt like I was going to get a thorough job. I actually had a loose railing on the side that needed some repair which I didn't ask them to do, but they actually hammered a few nails just to put it together for me. That was definitely going above and beyond. It was awesome. The crew was very thorough. They knew what they were doing. The prices were the same. I hated all the prices. They were all within $50 of each other. It helped that I got an extra 10% discount from Angie's List. Homepainters were great. I would absolutely use them again.

They did a great job painting the Tudor boards on the outside of the house. When I pointed out a few drips, they quickly wiped them up. The edges between the tudor (dark brown) and the stucco (tan) were fairly straight with only a few places that weren't perfect, but from the street, everything is great.

The staining of the interior was not as great, but is acceptable. There are a few streaks on the adjacent wall that I will have to paint over, the stain color is not quite a match to the rest of the trim and there are a few defects (drip marks, light spots) in the final finish, but I am a perfectionist.

I think their painting job is excellent and very affordable. I have and will continue to recommend them for painting. I may not recommend their staining as strongly.

They did an excellent job. They were very easy to work with, accommodating, professional, and didn't drip paint. I gave them a higher amount than what they estimated because they did more work than I expected. I think they are really excellent. The owner came out and did the estimate and was very professional. He took extensive notes and gave us an estimate on the spot. I think they do a very good job. It was built into the contract that they would call and ask if there are any touch ups needed. They did come back and spent about 2 hours painting the touch ups.
