I called in the morning and was told i could come in the afternoon. My car was taken as soon as I arrived and was completed in a timely manner. While I waiting I was given updates. Everyone I dealt with was professional and very cordial. I waited in an extremely neat and clean waiting area where I sat comfortably.

I have taken my car in to have them work on it 3 times now, and we still have the same problems. And are now going to have to find another mechanic. I would not recommend Elmwood to anyone.

As many if not all the other reviewers have stated Elwood Certified is a first class shop. Honest, professional and they can be counted on to perform very high quality work. The first time I went to Elmwood was to have my girlfriends Volvo looked at. She took it to Pep Boys (when I was out of town) and they tried to charge her 1200 on the spot to replace one axle. Ofcourse I did'nt trust this, and took in to Elmwood, where they discovered thay both Axles were severly shot, along with a number of other issues that Pep Boys failed to spot as well. All told, Elmwood effectively replaced the entire front suspension assembly for around $900 dollars. While Pep Boys was trying to charge $300 more to replace one part. Elmwood is now my go to autoshop for all my auto service needs. I began taking my vehicle there as well, and have recieved the same excellent service.

This was the best car service I've ever received. I was in the habit recently of going to my local Honda dealership, until I got smacked with a ~$3000 bill. Honda had told me I had to replace my catalytic converter, among many other things. They said $1500 was mandatory for my car, and the other 1500 was optional. This threw me into a scare given my car is a 2003 model and made me decide to buy a new car. Then I had the idea of stopping by at this shop to see if my car could be salvaged. Lo and behold, Dennis and Tim told me my catalytic converter was found and only the transmission mounds were loose and needed to be replaced. In total, they charged me 880$ for a service that Honda asked for at least $1500, and up to $3000 (including unnecessary repairs). I am so thankful and relieved to Denis, Tim, Jim and the whole shop for their honest and eager help. They're all very professional and competent in their work. I'm happy to know I've found a new permanent car service!

Dealer told me I needed a new radiator for my older Lexus, but I didn't believe it and wasn't willing to commit $1300. I tried to address the leak with hole plug treatments, etc. - didn't work. I brought it to Elmwood and he did the pressure test and said I did need the radiator. He charged $500 less than the dealer. I have taken my vehicles there multiple times since. I dinged him on the service because they lost my Lexus valve caps. Not a big deal. I'd recommend them to anyone.

I was looking for a long time a trusted place and thanks to Angie's list I founded. Tim,Dennis and Jim are very professional and friendly I definitely come back again.

Dennis, Jimmy and Timmy are great! They pride themselves in the work they do and attempt to do it as cost efficiently as possible for their clients. This is my second visit to them to fix the lesser of the two issue I had with my 2003 Highlander. I have a late model Toyota 2013, however, the Highlander has my heart. They huddled and addressed the mass airflow sensor (something like that) to see if that would address my car's issues overall given that they received quite a few "issue codes" when checking out my car. I had to drive the car for at least 100 miles to determine if the "check engine" light would come back on if they had not addressed the issue appropriately. Well here we are almost 500 miles later and the "check engine" light has remained unlit and I was able to get the car inspected. So all is well with the world until I'm ready to let the car go..... maybe at the 200,000 mile mark. It is currently at 140,000. Both I and my husband highly recommend these gents! Bravo!

Jimmy and his team memebers are very good, professional and respect their customers which is most important thing to me.They answer my questions with patience and in detail.I will continue to bring my car to them for service.

i think fine - car rides beautifully - breaks (ABS) work well now. There is an exhaust smell which i will take in to check.

I had an overall excellent exprience here but I will spare the details as they are similar to many other "A" reviews. I will point out though, if you have any doubt about the validity of so many "A" reviews, or if any place could really be THAT good; I assure you, the reviews are valid, and they are THAT good!

Consulted Angies List and found Elmwood Certified Auto Services. After reading the reviews decided to take my 98 Pathfinder to replace the clutch and found out I had some other issues as well. The service was top notch, they take the time to explain all the issues and the costs associated with said issues. All issues were resolved in a timely manner. I would highly recommend the shop and it's services.

My 2008 BMW 535xi had the following messages on the computer Engine Malfunction! Reduced power Malfunction in transmission Right rear tire low Washer fluid level low The car was not accelerating due to the computer message "Malfunction in transmission". So, I decided to take it to Elmwood Certified Auto Services. I'd been there before so I knew them. They immediately diagnosed the issue and told me what was wrong. I decided to get the necessary things repaired. I was happy to drive my car back with no problems.

I go there all the time now. There knowledgeable and the most honest people and they're just great. That's the only thing I got from you guys that is more than worth being a member, its wonderful. They don't do things unnecessarily, they're just great. The guy is just great. They're honest and they really know what they're doing. Its a Subaru and I have taken that every time few years ago that the air conditioning is broken. They have it fixed in about 45 minutes and its fine. They're really proud of their reputation.

It had gone very well. I was happy that Jim was able to schedule me in on such a short notice and kept his word. I was there by 3 PM just like I said I would be and gone within the hour just like he said.

First time at the shop walked in and met Dennis who was very friendly. Told him that ac was leaking and he said not to worry that he would find the leak. He did find the leak at the condenser and best of all was able to repair it without replacing it which would have cost much more. Since he had the car I asked him to take a look at what else was needed. Dennis advised to change the serpentine belt which I did since it had never been replaced. Will definitely use them again. I dealt with Tim during this whole time. I brought my truck in as it was due for inspection and had the check engine light on. My regular mechanic told me the problem was in a cylinder not firing at the right pressure. My mechanic does not have the tools for this extensive job so I was happy to find Tim and Dennis on Angie's list with all A reviews. They iniitally tried to diagnose what was causing the lack of pressure. After awhile Tim called me and said they can keep looking but it might more expensive trying to find the cause rather than just replacing the engine. With all his A reviews I felt comfortable enough in his advice and told him to do this. Tim looked around for a comparable engine and found two, the one I took had a little less miles on it than on my truck. It also came with a 1 year/12k mile warranty. I had this done on 10/24/2014 and just left there shop today 3/24/2015 after having the oil changed. So 6 months later there are no problems with the new engine and happy with their service.

I found Elmwood Certified on Angie's list after some lengthy research. Up until that point I didn't know any service station or dealer who I could really trust for such a major repair. I called Dennis and Tim because they received such stellar reviews on Angie's List. Both were fantastic from the moment I first spoke with them up until they finished work on my car. They found a great used Honda Accord engine, installed it and stayed within the price quoted. Dennis even did some extra minor work without charging me. Now the car runs like new. Despite their garage being over 30 miles from where I live, from now on I will only be bringing my car to them for any repairs and/or service. If you take your car to Elmwood.Certified you will not regret it.. Trust me.

They were able to fix the issue in a very short period of time and now my car is up and running again! I felt the price was fair and I didn't walk out feeling as if I had been ripped off.

This was an 08 BMW 5 series and was out of warranty. Obviously, I didn't want to go the dealer as it would turn out expensive. Decided to lookup Angies List for Auto Service and found ELMWOOD CERTIFIED AUTO SERVICES as the nearest auto repair shop. After reading reviews, I decided to go here. Called them and spoke to Tim. Scheduled an early morning appointment at 7AM. When I met Tim that morning, I explained that the problem - the wiper won't turn on. Tim looked at it and advised it may take couple of hours. He told me the relay module for the wipes had to be replaced. After replacing the relay module, wipes worked perfectly fine and it was rock n roll for us. Cost was $120 and I think it was reasonable for the amount of time they took to investigate this. I am happy with their service and will go there again for auto service needs.

I dealt directly with Tim who was very courteous and completely honest with what needed to be fixed and what was either ok or could wait. Very happy with the quality of service and professionalism. - Ron V.

If you are anywhere in a 50 mile radius of this auto repair shop, this should be the ONLY place you take your car. They could have easily manufactured some sort of story, but their honesty and integrity bring me back, every time!. Love these guys!

It went great! They checked some other small things as well. It is so hard to find a good mechanic! I am so happy that I found them. They are very trustworthy, thorough, great at communicating, and the prices are good. I would recommend to anybody trying to find a great mechanic. This was an excellent experience!
