Janet Cleaning Service

Janet was able to work around our schedule (which changed twice) knowing we were in a crunch to get the house cleaned. I highly recommend her and her employees. They arrived on time and finished the job in a timely manner. I couldn't have done a better job if I tried!

My husband and I were looking for a well-reviewed cleaning service on Angie's List to do a 'deep clean' of our house as 1) we recently had sheet-rock installed and sanded, which created a disgusting layer of dust throughout our home and 2) we are expecting our first child within the next week or two and with work schedules and my limited physical ability, I needed help with the vast amount of cleaning that needed to be done. Communication with Janet (email, phone, and text) was all wonderful- She was accessible and responsive. She was able to give me a quote over email, and because of such high regard she has here on Angie's list, I didn't feel I needed to meet her in person first, and I jumped right to scheduling the service. She was able to fit our cleaning in within a matter of days. Janet was very warm, and she and her crew got to work right away. They are meticulous!! They moved furniture to clean behind things, took items out of cabinets to wipe the insides out, wiped down walls and baseboards, took curtains down to clean windows.... I could go on, but I hope the picture is clear: Janet and her crew left my house in pristine condition, and I couldn't be happier!! Her excellent work has helped ease my anxiety over bringing home a baby (especially with renovations in process). Once settled with the baby, I look forward to contacting her to schedule routine up-keep cleaning twice a month. Needless to say, I am a very happy customer and would confidently recommend her cleaning services to anyone! :) Thank you, Janet!!

Janet was prompt in getting back to me when I first reached out to her and she and her staff did a great job cleaning my 2 BR condo. During our initial meeting, Janet was very thorough in getting information from me about my pets and what I would like to see cleaned. I will be using the service on a regular basis!

Janet and Betty came on Wednesday to do a deep-clean of my condo. (I have been working a full time job for the last 7 months and have not been able to clean my home the way I always had. ) I am so extremely happy with the way my home looked after they were finished. Janet is all about detail....surface cleaning anyone can do...what Janet did was beneath the surface...the areas that noone can see except yourself. I am so thankful that I paid attention to the positive reviews on Angie's list. She is the BEST!!!!! I am looking forward to having Janet and her team come by-weekly from now on. Called on 12/18/13 to discuss having my home deep cleaned and subsequent bi-weekly cleanings. I went over the layout of my house, what I basically wanted done and requested a visit and estimate. Janet asked for my address to be texted which I quickly replied back with on 12/19. She replied back acknowledging the info. I understand it was the holidays and it was not so urgent so I waited. However, I did not hear back from her after that until I texted her on 12/30/13 asking if she was still interested in giving an estimate. She replied back the next day saying she was so busy and knew she was missing an estimate and asked what my schedule was the next few days. I told her I was available pretty much most of the time. She set the appt for 1/1/14 which was fine for me as I was home. Got text that day saying she had sick relative and would have to reschedule. I can understand that, we?ve all been there. Didn?t hear back again from her until 1/5/14 only to be told she had dropped her phone and lost her contacts but she found my no. in her book. I said ok but I wouldn?t be available until Sat 1/11 now. Did not hear back until 1/10 when I texted her again to confirm and she said she was extremely busy and put my address in the GPS and found it was 1hr and 10 min away and she was so surprised so she wanted to forgo the visual look and just send two girls at $85.00/hr and asked again for what would need to be done and if I was interested in continuing with the service after the first cleaning. I called her back and said that I was disappointed that she would not be coming but that I wanted to discuss the rate and subsequent visits and what had to be done and to please call me back. Still haven?t heard back?.. I am totally amazed at my patience. Needless to say I would never use them. There is no excuse for the way this customer service was handled especially when you are in business for yourself. Sorry this is so long but it is the truth.

It was great! Janet brought a sufficient amount of help and cleaned my renovated hone thoroughly! I was concerned about my floors , since I have 2 little kids and it was great ! I will use them again in the future.

Spoke with Janet over the phone she was very accommodating and honest about her availability. She did not yes me to death just to get the job. She was also willing to work with our budget. She came the very next day. She was a bit late due to traffic etc, but was in communication with me. The crew did a very good job cleaning the house from top to bottom. We are very happy.

Janet and her crew were prompt, professional, and paid attention to details. 3 women spent 4 hours cleaning my 3 bed/2.5 bath split level home. Janet personally went over each room once her crew said it was done. If she saw something amiss she corrected it; if she had a question about something (like 'is this garbage or not?') she asked me. I couldn't be happier. She even sent me a text the next day saying she forgot to clean the fireplace doors (which I didn't notice). The details matter to her, which is a rare and precious quality. I have a cat who sheds a LOT, and unfortunately cat hair clogged Janet's vacuum cleaner so I gladly dragged out mine. Next time cat hair won't be a problem because they did such a thorough job this time. When they finished my floors shone, my kitchen and baths sparkled! I have already booked her for bi-weekly service so that they can keep my house looking beautiful. I also glady included tips for the entire crew on top of the original price. It was worth every penny.

I have been using Janet Cleaning service for two years since I found here on Angies List. Do ourself a favor if you need cleaning done call her today.

Our house has just been completed of repairs from Sandy damages. While we were able to clean most of the dust we know it still needed a lot of work. It started to feel overwhelming with all the refurnishing we also doing. So for the first time I decided to hire for cleaning service. I found Janet and contacted her because of the positive reviews i saw about her company. She responded really quickly and setup the initial appointment. When she thought she would not make it due to some really valid reasons, she let us know ahead of time. We have never hired cleaners before but she was very professional and honest to explain what the options are. A couple of days after she sent me a text message with the price that we believe is fair for the amount of job. On the day of the appointment she notified me that they will be late by 45 mins. which we did not mind but appreciated that she made sure we know. They did a great job of cleaning our house from top to bottom (excluding the basement since it is currently used as storage space). They took their time cleaning and when done Janet explained the job to us and pointed our things that are of concern. I am so impressed how they got to take out the hardened grease from the stove and above stove microwave oven. The bathrooms are sparkling clean. There was a misunderstanding about whether or not to clean the inside of the kitchen cabinets. They did not clean them but promised to come back another day to do it - which they did for no additional charge. They will be cleaning our house every two weeks from then on.

We were pleased with Janet's staff, they did quality work. Janet was very responsive and arrange the appointments effective.

Nobody cleans like Janet cleans! She is a business woman, and takes the time to explain things and give recommendations to her clients. She even took the time to move my couch and vacuum and mop behind it before replacing it. She has an attention to detail that is second to none, and notices small things that she can easily take care of. If she is delayed because of traffic, Janet will call ahead and let you know exactly where she is. I would highly recommend Janet to anyone else looking to have their house sparkle. 5 Stars!!

Excellent job by Janet and her team. Wish we would have done it sooner.

This was a very smooth process. We had recently moved out of a rental - a two-story, 4 BR, 2.5 bath with an office, about 1400 sq. ft. - and needed it thoroughly cleaned. Janet quickly responded to my initial call and we discussed details and a general price (depending on actual amount of work to be done) and set the date. She showed up on time with a crew of 5 including herself and the ladies divided up chores and went to work right away. Everything was done; windows - inside and out, fridge - all drawers and shelving taken out and washed, stove, cabinets, ceiling fans, floors, carpets, closets, molding, tiling in bathrooms... everything. They were very efficient and the place was spotless. I am extremely happy with the service they provided and will consider them for regular use at our new place (something we've never done before).

Contacted Janet through messaging in Angie's List and set up a time for an estimate. She called when she couldn't make that estimate time so an alternate time was established, which she did not make nor even call to reschedule. Unreliable.

3 women; 3-4 hrs..... nice job

Janet and her crew did an impressive job cleaning our new home despite having been in an accident where they were rear-ended on the way to our house. They were about 30 minutes late but understandable because of what happened and still managed to keep her promise of doing quality cleaning at our newly built home. The price may seem high but it was an initial cleaning and I'd rather pay for quality and trust she and her crew will continue to do a great job so we will have her come back for maintenance cleaning on a regular basis with a price she quoted which is very reasonable.

Janet was very fast to respond to my call and we were able to schedule an appointment very quickly. She took the time to set expectations of the appointment since this was the first time we had used her service. She also offered other references in our area in case we wanted to reach out to them first. All in all, she and her team did a great job in a timely manner and we were very pleased.

Janet arrived early and the cleaning crew of 6 women arrived on time. They took about 1/2 day to clean the entire 4-bed 5-bath house from top to bottom. Floors, doors,c chandeliers, bathrooms, kitchen, and even walls were dusted and cleaned. Janet was nice and professional. The price was a bit high but the house is pretty big so maybe it was fair. I would use them again.

Initial contact was very good. Owner came and surveyed before bringing cleaning crew on subsequent occasion. We used their services many times, but then encountered problems. Crew that came (without owner) for the most part did not speak English. They did a poor job on 4th or 5th servicing. We called and complained. Owner was apologetic and sent crew back to do what was done poorly, or wasn't done at all. They came and did a slipshod job again WITH THEIR COATS ON, meaning they were in a hurry. Still the job was not done to satisfaction, so we discontinued their services.

We used Janet's service for several years and recently stopped using them. Different people came to the house and depending on the group that showed, the service was spotty. I have several deep and long scratches in my wood floors from sliding furniture. I've had issues with incorrect products being used on furniture. For example, orange oil was used on my daughter's white painted furniture and my toilet seat covers had a film of I don't know what on them. The inability to read and/or speak English causes issues with their ability to use the appropriate products. I've also had situations where some floors weren't vacuumed or cleaned and had to do it myself when I came home. Dusting was spotty depending on who cleaned on a particular day. The ladies have also left cleaning supplies around the house and I then have to pick up after them. The last straw was when I came home, the kitchen floor hadn't been cleaned and my jacuzzi tub had been running with no water in it all day.

Janet and her staff were great. Very pleasant to deal with and they did an excellent job. Will definitely use them again.
