Janet Cleaning Service

I am happy with the service provided by Janet's Cleaning Service. Janet was able to come out the same day we talked to take a look at my house. She promptly provided an estimate and was able to work with my schedule. On the appointed day, Janet came by to instruct her staff on what areas to concentrate on. The staff were very thorough, scrubbing my home from top to bottom. They spent over 5 hours cleaning! I would definitely use this service again. -Laxmi Arte

I had an one-bedroom apartment I am moving into cleaned. She arrived on-time with 4 staff member. They cleaned the apartment from top-to-bottom. Janet even walked through and check everything before asking for my inspection. Everything looked very clean. I would recommend Janet's services to my friends when they move into new homes/apartments.

Four workers plus Janet spent many hours working on getting our house spotless. I never had a cleaning service before that got all the corners and edges of the kitchen floor clean. Janet's crew did! Janet re-organized our refrigerator and suggested removing one of the shelves for greater efficiency. So far it's working well for us. When they were done, not only could I see a difference, I could feel the difference in the air. I'm looking forward to a regular cleaning schedule with Janet's Cleaning Service.

All I can say is WOW! She showed up within 24 hours of my calling her. she called and texted me almost immediately after my request. She is VERY professional, courteous, clear in how she communicates what work she can do, and her team are wonderful. I've never had work done this well before. I can't say anything negative here.

Janet's cleaning was professional and definitely one of the most detailed cleaning crews I've ever worked with. They cleaned the baseboards better than we had ever had them clean, under our bed, all of the radiators, the tops of our refrigerator, EVERYTHING! The price was a little high, but, frankly, I would continue to pay it for the quality of service. We continue to marvel (almost 2 weeks later) at what a wonderful job they did. On top of all of that, by mistake, one of the women knocked a clock off of my wall, breaking a few of our wine classes, and, immediately, they removed an hour off of the bill to compensate. Really wonderful customer service.

Janet and her crew did an excellent job cleaning. They went above and beyond to make the house look clean and fresh. Thanks for a job well done.

We have used the service every 2 weeks for 3 months (6 times total). You need to supply the service with your own cleaning products which can be a good thing if you have concerns about the type of cleaners used or using equipment from one home to the next. We found that the service had difficulty following the typed instruction list of cleaning agents and brought other agents into the home at times. They occasionally missed cleaning some areas and would sometimes leave cleaning rags and gloves around the home. Moreover, they did not seem to provide as "deep" a cleaning as other services that we had previously used. The owner was responsive by text messaging although did not seem to ensure that the team followed instructions appropriately.

I was very pleased with the entire process. Janet came to my house soon after I contacted her thru Angie's List. She did a walk thru and we discussed what needed to be done. We discussed the fact that I have Christmas decorations in place and she said that they would do their best with them. I was particularly concerned with my kitchen floor which had a build up of wax. She said that they would do their best and had suggestions as to how to clean the floor in the future. We agreed on a scheduled date and I said I would leave the key as I would be out of town. Janet called me immediately upon arriving at my home because the key did not work. She made many patient attempts , but to no success. She was very understanding and readily agreed to fit me into her very busy Christmas schedule. It was my fault that the key did not work , but she was willing to come early the very next day to do the cleaning. Her team arrived early and spent a very good amount of time cleaning . I was totally and completely satisfied. The house was spotless and my kitchen floor was beautiful! I will use Janet now on a regular basis. I recommend her without reservation. I was thoroughly satisfied.

Janet's team is great. They come once a week and always do a great job. I don't need to worry about anything they know where everything is and have their system. Very polite and professional as well.

Janet was about 45 minutes late. She did call after she was about 15 minutes late to let me know she would be late. When she arrived, she did a very thorough walk thru of my home and pointed out things that needed to be done. I was impressed by her attention to detail and she seemed very knowledgeable. She told me that she would call me the next day with an estimate for a one time cleaning and the fee for a regular bi-weekly cleaning. I was a bit surprised that with 20 years of experience that I had to wait a day for a quote. She never called me. I left a message for her during the week but I have yet to hear back. I am very disappointed. This is totally unprofessional. I am sure she will post a response to my review with some excuse - it would have been nice if she at least called with me an excuse. I really thought that I was going to hire her. She has left me in a really bad spot - I recently had emergency surgery and I can't clean. I told Janet that I really needed help because of the surgery. Now I have to try and find someone else, having wasted almost 2 weeks at this point. Please think twice about hiring her. If she would do this to someone who is recovering from surgery and really needs her services, how will she treat you?

I had excellent telephone contact with Janet, but unfortunately she is currently unavailable to travel to where we live. However, I described by phone what I was looking for in an initial, thorough cleaning and she was very straightforward about what the women would do (team of two), what the cost would be, and how long - given the size of our townhouse - it would likely take. The women worked hard, they cleaned everything, clearly have pride in what they are doing, and while it was very expensive for us, I don't take for granted how much they had to do in the time they were here. I will hope that we can work out a price so that they can come monthly. The two women who came were lovely although I wish we had been better able to communicate in English or that I spoke Spanish well!

The initial meeting with Eugenia was very promising. She was extremely pleasant, very professional and she showed up on time. As we walked through the entire house, she pointed out areas that she felt the previous cleaning company didn't do a good job with and this attention to detail impressed me. She described the level of cleaning they would do, which when compared to the other companies I interviewed, would be considered relatively in-depth. One or two others promised a few things she did not, but I was satisfied with the cleaning to be provided relative to the cost. The first few cleanings - which I later surmise occurred while Eugenia was present - were excellent. Other than one or two minor nitpicks, I was very happy. Then, things started to go downhill quickly. I would come home to find certain things skipped or poorly cleaned. I would see a spot on a floor that I saw the night before and know they did not mop (at least that area). I could see the same fingerprints on the microwave even though nobody had been home since they left. I began pointing these things out to Eugenia and she promised to bring them to the attention of the team. Things would improve slightly in the specific areas I complained about, but then other things would not be done. For example, i have a tumbled marble tile shower. It requires a special cleaner (which I left for them) to get the soap scum stains clean. Shampoo bottles would be in the exact some positions in the shower which showed me they never moved anything to clean it. Then I came home to find my Toto pedestal sink cracked. It was obvious that someone dropped the marble soap dispenser in the sink because there was a very obvious chip leading to a hairline "V" crack. Eugenia swore her girls did not do it (if I am picky enough to notice a spot on the floor, believe me I am picky enough to notice a crack in a sink I use 5 times a day....) but to her credit, she said if felt it was them she would pay for it. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I came home for lunch from work to find two girls sitting on my front steps waiting for their ride (supposedly they were a 3 person team but the driver was MIA). I inspected the house and found EVERY floor in the house, tile or wood, completely bone dry. Having mopped those floors many times myself, I know there is NO way they can dry that quickly. They didn't clean them, obviously. The shower also: bone dry. I called the girls inside and despite the communication difficulty (I speak some Spanish and they speak some English so I got my point across) I showed them that nobody cleaned the shower. They pointed fingers at other, then giggled and said sorry, they would clean it. At this point, I knew I was firing Janet's Cleaning Service so I told them, "No problema" and outside the went to wait for their ride. All in all, I feel badly about this experience because Eugenia is a very nice person, very responsive and she seems like she cares. Unfortunately, she has people working for her who don't care at all about Eugenia's customers or her business. By promising to do work that they didn't do and accepting money for it, they are stealing from not only me but from her too.

She is very busy. Getting an appointment is difficult. She is not so good at keeping her time for the appointment, but I have no complaints because she did a thorough job of cleaning my townhome. Three people cleaned my house. My cabinets were dirty, window sills were dirty, and the deck was dirty. Also, I just got a new tile flooring put in. As a result, the whole first floor was dusty. She cleaned them all thoroughly and made the apartment look new.

My regular cleaning person is away for the summer, so it had been a few weeks since I had someone in here. Janet was very responsive, and we were able to schedule something within a few days. She did an excellent job, my house was in terrific shape when she left (4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 1 teenage son, and 4 cats) and I would definitely use her again. Highly recommended!

The service was excellent. The girls were very thorough and hard working. They covered all aspects of the house and with the care any homeowner would love. I am a very picky homeowner and after the job they did I hired them for routine cleaning. You cannot go wrong with this service. Thank you Janet and your crew.

Everything could not have gone better. All three of my children had wonderful things to say about their behavior, proficiency and determination to reach their goals of getting the house gleaming and organized.

They were great! On top of doing a wonderful job cleaning my house, they were kind and courteous. It was a pleasure having them & I look forward to using the service again soon.

I'm very satisfied. I would definitely recommend them. They've only been out to our house once or twice so I think we still need to develop kind of a relationship when it comes to cleaning methods but overall, I think they're wonderful.

Janet arrived with some of her workers and quickly got down to business. They took care of the windows, bathrooms, blinds; etc; paying attention to every little detail. I even managed to secure a placement for bi-weekly cleaning.

Started off great - found Janet to be very personable in the interview, explained how they work and that there would be a regular team that came to the house. Used them for over a year and it just went downhill - only had the same team a few times in the beginning and then it seemed to always change. Time they got to the house was later and later and became more and more disruptive. In the end after a complaint about some (minor) damage done we were feeling uncomfortable and though at first Janet seemed to want to make it better in the end we stopped contacting them, she never followed up and we went with someone else.

This was by far the easiest cleaning service I have ever hired. Janet was very quick to always get back to me and was also very flexible with the scheduling. They cleaned our entire house (4 stories) for only $250. Everything looked sparking when we checked it out the following day. I will def be calling them again!

The work done was exceptional! They were organized, paid attention to every detail of the house to ensure that it was spotless; explained specific details when necessary. The house gleamed when they left. I rate them an A+ and would definitely use them again and would enthusiastically recommend them.

The owner + two cleaners arrived on time.They proceeded to clean the house . We arrived back at the condo a bit earlier, before they were finished. They seemed nervous and in a hurry to get out of the apt. I did notice the paper towel consumption was a bit over board. Janet promised to call back to arrange our a bi-weekly visit, but never called back.

Janet gave me a price for a deep clean, site unseen. She showed up on time with two other ladies. She immediately had the girls start working while she went around the house to assess all the dust from the remodeling we were doing in the basement. They cleaned the top and main floor within the time frame she quoted. They did everything from the walls, ceilings, lamps, curtains, floors, etc. and did a wonderful job. I had no complaints given the job and time constraints. The final price was only $25 more than she quoted over the phone. I am waiting to hear when she can start cleaning the house every two weeks.
