Overall the experience was okay. As noted earlier Gil was nice and all but not enough to justify prices. He had the same prices of the showrooms that have everything there for you. I did an impromptu visit to a place he did business with for cabinets. It was a little disorganized since the guy was just moving to this place. I decided on a little more organized company.

They do good work. They are very professional. I would use their services again in the future.

We contacted GOIAS Home Improvement for an estimate on replacing some rotting wood on a bay window on the front of our home. The were prompt and courteous with their response and coming to our house to give us an estimate. We ended up going with another local company who did the same work recommended, but with materials we felt more comfortable with. We would definitely call GOIAS Home Improvement again in the future

Job was done quickly. Workers were professional and the results were great. Workers took off their boots/shoes when entering the house, respecting the fact that we have two small children. Work was neat, floors covered, vacuuming afterwards. Attic opening came out perfect. They finished the trim and repainted the ceiling in the hallway to get an even result. It looks as if the opening had always been there. Skylights were replaced and waterproofed in a timely manner. Decals were left on the windows after installation. They were too high for me to remove. I called Gil and he had the workers come back and remove then a couple of weeks later. All in all, quality work. Gil is a decent man. He is reachable by email or phone.

Gil came exactly on time for the estimate and the starting date. His guys were very helpful - they even moved our piano back in place. The room was vacuumed and cleaned so we were ready to move the furniture back in the room right away. The job went very well and we are very pleased.

Very well. They did what they said they would do, at the time they said they would do it.

Still a contender. Still shopping around. Was very professional, price seems fair. To be determined

Overall the work took less than 5 weeks to be completed with a gap of 3 weeks in November and December while I was away. Gil, the lead contractor was easy to deal with and the crew were courteous professional and worked from the moment they arrived on site. My only complaint was not getting scheduled start and end times some days. Cost did not include most materials for the job.

They did a fantastic job. From delivering the drywall to minimizing the dust during sanding.

The patio door of the walk-out basement of our condo was leaking water at the base resulting in rot on the door and the framing (possibly termites as well). I obtained 3 estimates and suggestions for how the problem should be solved. All agreed that the existing concrete patio should be lowered and pitched more away from the house. I accepted Goias? estimate based purely on price since all three were highly rated on Angie?s List and nothing negative came up during the estimate process. I ordered the new patio door (Andersen) from Lowe?s. In the meantime Goias? masons removed the old concrete slab and poured a new one, regrading in the process. There was a misunderstanding about the size of the new slab since it was supposed to be larger than the old one, but was poured the same size. A small matter, but no refund was offered since the larger amount of concrete was ordered and payed for even if not used. I didn?t get any complaints from my neighbors and the site was cleaned up well. When the door came in we arranged for a time for the installation. I wanted to be there when the work was done so I arranged to take the day off from work. The workers arrived at 11:30 and had to come back the next day to finish. The old door and rotten framing was removed. The rough opening was re-framed and the new door installed and exterior trim applied. The installation looked good. The exterior trim was neat and nicely finished. One red flag went up when there were some pieces of trim and hardware left over and the workers speculated about where they might go and why they weren?t needed. A quick look at the instructions (by me) solved that mystery. As luck would have it, the weekend after the installation we had a driving rainstorm. In the middle of the night I went down to the basement to check things out and there was a puddle of water on the floor and it was coming in under the new door. The next morning I called Goias and they assured me it would be made right, but they were working on a big job on Long Island and weren?t sure when then could get back. I insisted that it be fixed before it rained again and arrangements were eventually made for them to come on a Sunday. Additional caulking was added at the base on the exterior. I checked it with a garden hose a few days later and it appears to be watertight. Obviously, I would have preferred the job to have been done properly the first time, but if there are no further problems I will be satisfied. I wouldn?t use this company again and wouldn?t recommend them but my experience may have been the exception since they were so highly recommended.

We had called five companies out a month ago and out of that only GOIAS Home Improvement actually came out. The other one made an appointment with me and never bothered to show up. One actually was listed that they do work in my area and when we called the lady was really rude and she said that they don’t do in our area. When we asked her that they were listed, she said that they will charge for coming out there and so we told her not to bother. GOIAS Home Improvement called a couple of times even when we were in vacation and he was the only one who showed up. We had a hurricane and it did different damage to my home. So we are waiting for the insurance company to come as they had to pay for it. First the insurance company wanted to fix it and now when we send the estimate they want to just look at it so that’s why there is a delay in the project. Anyways GOIAS Home Improvement will be the one who is going to do the work.

They called me before coming. They were very professional. I was quite impressed with the person that came. He seemed very knowledgeable. Their painting quote was almost two times more expensive than what someone else quoted. The quote was for about $54,000. The other quote that I got was for about $12,000. I didn't use their service as I couldn't really justify having them. Their quote was the main deciding factor for me.

Gil, the owner was always responsive, puctual, accomodating, and fair. The workers were highly skilled and professional and the results show it. Touch up on painting was needed after the electrician did his thing and that was done the next day. I am so happy that I chose Goias and am planning to use again for further improvment projects for my condo. You would be doing yourself a favor if you hire this contractor!

Everything turned out great with the company. The work was done very well. I would tell others that they did a thorough job and that everything was finished, so it looked great. There were no problems with any of the work they did.

As I stated above the start time and finish time was on schedule and everything was performed accordingly.

I had replaced the roof a few months earlier. Perhaps I need to submit a report (though I went through proper procedure of getting township approval etc, the person contracted had subcontracted someone and neither is reachable). The roof work did not properly re-install the attic fan and it was not properly covered. I accidentally discovered that the cover over the fan was blown off (shoddy job of the earlier roofer). I was going to go out of town by evening and needed to find someone to work on the same day (otherwise I would cancel the trip since the hole in the roof with exposed fan was deemed dangerous). Goais contractor agreed to send someone to inspect and determine what needs to be done. I have to take the worker's word that the attic fan is shot though it was only a year old. After that they went and got a new fan, fixed it, made sure the roof was OK around the installed attic fan and completed the work by 4 pm or so. They quoted the price of $500 and I paid that. They did not give me any paper work but did send me a picture of the installed fan area of the roof to my cell phone.

This company was very quick to contact me. However we did play phone tag for a few days. Someone was able to come out to my house after we finally spoke about my ceiling issue to give me an estimate of the work needed to be done to repair it. He was professional, and thorough. He seemed knowledgeable. He gave me 2 scenarios, one to repair the ceiling, one to replace it completely. He was very timely on his quote, however his price was quite expensive, so I chose not to go with this company.

We began the process with only a driveway install and decided after review with Gil to also include a fence installation and deck install. The process of getting the permits in place within my municipality was a bit of a pain but Gil took care of that part tho it seemed often because each municipal government is different there was some difficulty dealing with the differences (I blame the local government more then the contractor for having obscure rules contacts)We reviewed the project multiple times along with layouts, this included both his framer (Who was wonderful) and his tar and cement guy (less wonderful but competent)After the footings and poles were poured for the deck the deck went through the process of installation, The deck because of the nature of it being connected to the house requires many reviews and passes.Gil also arranged for gas line and electric install as well making it easier on myself and my wife.The deck was complete and done better then i expected.The driveway was completed soon after, but it seems after many times (at least 4x) reviewing the plans and measurements (These measurements were reduced due to changes to satisfy the municipality), there was a shortage in the amount of material and the 'change in the price' of the material that Gil plans to pass on to us. I don't believe i was obtuse at any point during the review of the plans as to the space requiring coverage. Nor did the price of petroleum (the prime element in asphalt) increase during the period in question.Later during the fence install there was rubbish left over, some can be picked up by the town (Trees, branches), however the construction material will need to be picked up by his men and I am waiting for it to be removed.Overall I question if the job was underbid for the quantity of work to be performed and the 'overages' are really genuine or to cover his underbid. the quality of work was very good, but I don't particularly enjoy the extra charges.

The crew showed up on a Wednesday 9am to remove and repave the driveway. The old driveway was thick slab that had seen it's better days. All work was done by very early afternoon. The workers clean up as the work went along. We love the new driveway The masonry crew came out at 9am the next day (Thursday) to remove an old garage wall and replace the wall. The three man crews work was amazing. The work was complete by late afternoon. Gil/Edison we thank you from our souls for the time you spent with us and your positive energy. God Bless!!

My wife and I are very pleased with the results after the first two months in the apartment. Business owner worked with me and my wife personally and constantly solicited feedback. He gave us the right suggestions and listened to our needs. Some quotes came higher than other companies but the prices provided in estimates were exactly what came up in the end. All extras were given written estimates and agreed upon. There were no tricks/misunderstandings whatsoever. All jobs were completed on time or earlier. Some unavoidable delays came mostly from the kitchen company that was hired separately (not through Goais). Some jobs were given discounts even after estimates. All debris/garbage removals were included in estimates and were executed on time. Inspections were handled flawlessly, any corrections were communicated to me and completed right away. I feel that my experience was very positive, will definitely do business with them again.
