I hated the guy that gave the estimate. So much that I decided to leave this review. He was arrogant assumptive and rude. It ****** me off. He played games as well saying things like there is this one guy who always low balls then raises the prices. Sounds like a cool story dude I better hire you then. Also he was by far the most expensive. Maybe he is just an exception but you can bet I will avoid certapro like the plague after this experience. He even called back and asked why I chose someone else, when I said price he predicable said that the people I was hiring were not doing it right. How do you know that? For all you know it could be 5 bucks cheaper. No, not uh. Not hiring you.

They pressure cleaned the roof and I kept hearing loud snaps. I asked the foreman if that was my tiles... he said NO! You only have 1 broken tile and we'll fix that for you. I'll take a picture of the roof for you. He never did. There were 20 broken tiles after they were done. I had a roofing inspector come check the roof, and he said there were about 20 broken tiles. They never glued anything. And there was 3 spots that had tiles that were just laying there. 1 was right next to the chimney that the "FOREMAN" worked on replacing dry rot. Prior to hiring Certapro I explained that I was jumbling the pool remodel and the gutter removal, and they would have to work around those projects, because we couldn't pressure clean until the decks until they were ready, and we would not know how much dry rot there was until the gutters were removed. Richard Fearing of the Davie FL office said it was "no problem," UNTIL AFTER I signed the agreement, and all of a sudden everything changed. I would have never had them start if I would have known that they were not capable of replacing dry rot. I've also never had a house painted where they didn't pressure clean the porch and patios. I was going to have them paint the pool deck with cool deck which Richard claimed they did, and then later he found out that the cool deck material was no longer available, as they were out of business. When he was pricing the house and pool deck I asked if they would be pressure cleaning the patio as well, and he said "yes, that's no problem." I was willing to pay extra if it was required, but others included that in their bid, and he said it was "no problem." When I realized Richard Fearing didn't really know what he was talking about on the deck paint, I researched further and was told that it was not a good solution, and we decided to not have the pool deck painted. I still wanted the patio pressure cleaned as I figured they would have done, as I've never had a house painted where the front porch and patio wasn't also cleaned. Well.. they never did pressure clean the patio and porch. They did however paint a 2 inch stripe on the pool deck floor along the wall. When I pointed out the stripe along the floor Richard Fearing replied "we always paint that." Even though the other side was already painted and the floor drain that runs along the wall was not painted on that side. I told them the drain is part of the floor, (it runs all the way along the wall... and continues along the patio, and it should only be painted if we do the pool deck., and then only in the pool deck color not the wall color! I told them to remove the strip, which they did. Also the trim on the house was not painted correctly. The accent boards should have been painted on the top edge as well. They were not. All they had to do was follow the previous color scheme. It was very simple. According to the "Foreman" and Richard Fearing the salesman they couldn't get the pressure cleaner back out on the job to clean the patio because it was on another job site. They had 2 men paint the house, rather than the "at least 3" that he stated. There was some apparent dry rot at the top of the chimney that was included in the bid, that they repaired. More dry rot became apparent after the gutters were removed. He told me how much it would be to replace one of the boards, which I agreed to and then he never had it done Instead Richard Fearing called me and told me that they are "painters, not handymen." and I could probably find somebody to do it cheaper. Of course when he was walking the job site with me prior to getting my business they were able to deal with dry rot with "no problem." When he called to tell me I need to find somebody else to deal with the dry rot, Richard Fearing (the salesman) stated we had 75% dry rot. He was again lying. I told him he didn't know what he was talking about. The roofer said there were 4 boards. Richard Fearing (salesman) will tell you what you want to hear to get your money. Then when push comes to shove he does not deliver. He said he's been in the painting business for years. For being in the painting business for years, he certainly does NOT know his stuff. They were going to paint right over the dry rot, until I stopped them and made sure they knew to leave it so I could tell where it was and have somebody else come to do the repairs. This is VERY important that dry rot not be painted over! They should know that!! They were rushing to get the job done. They had to leave early due to rain, and painted one of the doors just before which had a lot of bugs stick to the wet paint. The FOREMAN said he would clean it off and repaint it. He never did. There was glob of foam that had been behind the end of one of the gutters, and they never scraped it off the wall, and the paint didn't even cover the blob, there is a bare spot. It is on the front of the house by the front door and it looks terrible. I told them to take care of it when I did the final inspection it was never done. Neither was the door with bugs stuck to it, or the dry rot (except the chimney), or the roof issues. I paid them in full because I was sick of dealing with Richard Fearing's BS. And sick of walking around pointing out stuff for them to fix that they should have already done on their own without me holding their hand. It's called pride of workmanship. Instead it was a rush to get done. AND they were not the lowest bid. I thought I was getting a more professional crew, and no it was not. I addressed all of these points in a letter, with the full payment and I haven't heard a thing from them. I had even went up to Sherwin Williams and bought and paid for 5 sample paints that I put on the house myself (besides the ones they had put up), and they took all of them when they left. I spoke to the Foreman who said they were probably still in his garage. (1 day after they were taken) and he said he would bring them back. He never did. He was only calling me to find where I had left the check for they payment. I had to spend a week getting bids to repair the dry rot they were going to take care of, and have the broken and loose tiles repaired. I will be sealing and painting the new wood myself. Since they finished FOUR days ago, there are areas we can see that have such a thin coat of paint, that it needs another coat. I'll be doing that myself as well. At one point Richard said "we used a lot of paint on your house." I replied, really? I only saw 3 - 5 gallon containers in the truck. How much did you use?" He replied "I'm not sure." Well if you think you used a lot of paint.... you should know how much that is. Richard Fearing is a lying salesman. All he had to do was tell me we don't replace dry rot. And I'm not sure how much that will cost. And that he wasn't familiar with cool deck etc. Instead of acting like he would make sure everything was handled... the reality is that they do a rush job and only care about getting paid. I could have hired TRUE professionals that would have asked me to do an inspection ONE TIME when the job was done to their satisfaction first. Instead Richard Fearing had me inspect the job before they had even started replacing the rotten wood on the chimney. I hired a roofer to repair the dry rot, and repair all the tiles they broke. I KNOW they broke them, as I could hear them snapping. It's been 4 days since they finished and we are seeing areas of trim that are so thin they need another coat.
