Description of Work: On two (2) occasions I called HERITAGE PLUMBING, HEATING AND COOLING to obtain a quote. Twice they did not return my call. I will never call them again. I suspect my job was too small but they should at least acknowledge my call. One time the women that answered the phone said they are all in a meeting and will call me afterwards....I'm not holding my breath.

Typically we can easily schedule these appointments right away within our Customer Service department, and since we do not typically provide quotes over the phone we would have sent out a Comfort Advisor (at no cost to you) to your home to review the work you'd like installed and answer any questions that you may have had. Therefore I am wondering if you had specific questions that our Customer Service team could not answer at that time which would warrant a specialist or manager to return your call? Description of Work: Water leaking from hose to washing machine, and the shutoff lever not functioning due to rust and age. Heritage responded and came out on a Sunday, which we appreciated. We had clamped the hose, but since it was pressurized and old we were worried about it bursting. Tried turning main water off, but that affected the heating system. It cost $89 for Heritage to come out on a Sunday, that's fine. The nice brochure and refrigerator magnets and fancy itemized computer printout didn't sway us to hire this company. Polite plumber wanted $100 to turn water off and on (really? walking 12 steps to basement and turning a valve?). He wanted another $747 to replace the shutoff valve box and replace old hoses with new stainless ones. That was provided he didn't find anything else while replacing these parts. We sent him away, and figured it was worth the $89 to send him packing. The next day we bought a new valve box and stainless steel hoses and had another plumber come out and it cost us less than $200, total. And he didn't charge us to turn the water off and on. Heritage is most likely a franchise, a very overpriced franchise. Save your money, hire anyone else. It's outrageous what they wanted to charge.
