Description of Work: This is a lighting center that sells chandeliers, ceiling fans, lamps, exterior lighting, etc... I traveled 170 miles round trip to Lincoln, NE to purchase a chandelier, as there are no specialty lighting stores in Grand Island, NE. I purchased a 6 light leaded crystal chandelette, an Artemis ceiling fan, two exterior lights, and one flood light. I was lucky enough to find an electrician who immediately hung the ceiling fan. Upon returning home the day of the installations, I saw the ceiling fan wasn't what I purchased. Thankfully, the electrician was still there and removed the fan. I phoned the lighting center, spoke to the manager, who shipped the correct fan to me five days later and we shipped (free of charge) the wrong fan back. However, unbeknownst to me, he charged me for another fan; $633.93! After phoning him, he said it would be refunded that day along with the $50.00 I was charged by my electrician to hang and remove the wrong fan. I got to thinking about the remaining items I bought and went to double check them. Sure enough, the flood light I purchased was the incorrect color. After calling the store manager again, he said the store didn't even stock the black flood light I supposedly purchased and my receipt confirmed. He said all they stocked was white or bronze. They sent me home with the bronze. Rather than shipping it back, I plan to return it upon my next trip to Lincoln for a refund. Needless to say, this was a huge hassle and disappointment. Something as simple as asking the person pulling and loading purchased items to carefully ensure customers have the proper purchases would certainly help retain customers.
